Joy and Bob were so friendly and accommodating it was a pleasure to sit for them. Their house is wonderful and perfectly kept, easy to keep tidy (with lots of tips from the owners), and the location is stunning with an amazing landscape, nation parks and lakes just across the road. It’s not too far from local shops, and a good city bus stop is just 10 minutes walk away. The best part though is Sophie, a lovely laid back lady who loves belly rubs and sniffing out ground squirrels and lizards. We managed a few adventures around the area, and she was always well behaved whilst out on walks. She’s such a soft and fluffy girl I’m sure she’ll bring joy to anyone lucky enough to sit her. I hope any future sitters are able to enjoy their time there as much as I did, and would happily return to sit for them again.
We had simply the best time looking after Percy for Julie and Jake. After having a WhatApp catch up ahead of our sit, Julie sent through a great Welcome Guide that gave us excellent information about Percy and their home. This saved us some time at the handover stage that allowed Julie and Jake to head off in good time. Percys very well appointed home is set in an enviable location overlooking Dartmouth with fabulous views of the Dart and town but just 15 minutes walk away from the riverfront. It might take 20 minutes to walk back but your glutes get a great workout! What can I say about Percy? If I had to chose one word to sum up this handsome hound it would be 'perfect'. Percy really does tick all the boxes for an ideal dog: obedient, fun-loving, calm, everything you could really ask for in a dog! We would jump at the chance to return and take care of things for Julie and Jake in the future if dates align.
Jonathan and Misty were very welcoming and nice to meet! The week before the sit began I was only a few miles away so they invited me over to show me around in person. Their cat, “Q-tip,” was instantly friendly and very cute! It was apparent how much they love him and give him great care. And that they cared the sit was a good experience. They were very generous with their home and I appreciate how clean everything was too. Q-tip is a snuggler and playful. He would bring me toy mice at really endearing moments, including just before his meal times. We had great weather and he loves sitting on the deck which is a nice spot with a pretty view of Mt Tam. (He is otherwise an indoor cat.) The view from the kitchen and living room are wonderful too. Jonathan’s and Misty’s home is well located in a nice residential neighborhood within half a mile of stores and the 101, and just a mile and a half to downtown Larkspur which is really lovely especially in the evening. I recommend sitting for Jonathan and Misty!
What a lovely time I had with Cougar in Kerryn’s very cute and tidy apartment in St. Kilda!! 10 min walk to the beach was great on hot days. Kerryn was very communicative and organized, (as well as a great human), which made the process so easy! Cougar made a very loving and talkative companion and was very easy to look after 😊 Thank you both for opening up your home to me! I will miss Melbourne / St. Kilda 💛
Patti and Cleo are THE best! Patti has gone out of her way to make your time in Charlotte exceptional and Cleo is a doll. Patti has been very thoughtful and provided everything you could need to be comfortable and provide the best company for Cleo. Cleo just wants to chill, share some treats and hang in the backyard. This is a sit you want to take 🙂
It was an amazing sit! We arrived the day before, and Shari and Rob treated us to a delicious dinner. They are a kind, caring, and generous couple. Being super organized, they left us clear detailed instructions which made the sit very comfortable and easy. The house is beautifully decorated, cozy, comfortable, and has all the appliances you can ever need! We loved spending evenings near the firepit or in the hot tub. And the stars are incredible there! Shari and Rob also let us use their side-by-side and it was a really great experience. And last but not least - Chula! She is a great dog, affectionate, and easy to care for. We loved our walks with her, as well as playing in the backyard. Look forward to returning in the future and would highly recommend this sit to anyone. Thank you Shari and Rob for your warm hospitality!
