I adore this cattery. My boy is very anxious and on his 2nd stay he greeted the girls. Sheena sent me a lovely text and some photo's to show, it really helped me relax. This is the first place we call when we need our pets (2× dogs, 1 x cat) to be looked after when we travel. They are all well looked after and exercised. We always get a full run-down of how they have been. Highly recommended... plus, the view is amazing!

Just picked up our 5 dogs and cat from here and can’t recommend Greg and his colleagues highly enough. We wouldn’t put our dogs anywhere else, we’ve been a few times and they are all very well cared for meaning we can go on holiday and not worry about them. They all come home happy and contented and you just know they have been well looked after.

This was the first time my dog and cat had stayed here. Very impressed by the care and attention they enjoyed during their visit...and the dog came home smelling beautiful! Many thanks to all the staff who looked after them. Highly recommended.

Wonderful team of friendly people with a clear genuine interest in the care of your pets whilst they look after them. We put our 2 cats in for 3 nights and were delighted with their stay. Plenty room in the enclosure for both cats. There's an indoor space accessible via a cat flap for sleeping and staying cosy as well as a spacious run with a lovely view of the fields for the cats. We will 100% be putting our cats back here for their next holiday - thank you!

We were going away for a few days so we put our cat in for 5 days. The staff were so helpful and couldn't do enough to put us at our ease. Would thoroughly recommend them

Ashley has been fantastic with my beagle, Luna. Luna can’t always be off-lead, but Ashley handles her perfectly every time. I appreciate how attentive she is to Luna’s needs and how comfortable Luna seems in her care. I always get regular updates and pictures of Luna having a great time with other dogs. Ashley’s clearly in demand for a reason—she’s reliable, caring, and really good at what she does. Highly recommend her as a dog sitter!

Would like to say a huge thank you to Ashley for having our girl stay whilst we were away. We had regular updates with pictures and videos which put our minds at rest knowing she was well looked after. So lucky to have found someone local who is reliable, friendly and most importantly great with dogs. Will certainly be using Ashley’s doggy daycare and boarding again in near future and would highly recommend her services.

Frank, my cockapoo, had the best holiday at Ashley's. Big walks every day and all the care and attention he could want. A happy boy when I collected him, but not sure he wanted to come home! Ashley clearly loves her work and it shows. She sent me photos and films of my pup every day, and I could enjoy my time away, knowing that Frank was in safe hands. Highly recommend 😊

Ashley is very professional, informative, friendly and very good at keeping you up to date with how things are going with text and photos. My first time leaving Dandy with Ashley I was really worried as he had recently lost his Dad, Beano, but Ashley took great care of him. I have used Ashley again a number of times now, she has a lovey secure garden and home. The pictures and messages made leaving Dandy so much easier. Thank You 👍🐶🐶

My wee Buddy loves Ashley looking after him overnight or daycare. Plenty walks and in and out of the garden all day and lots of praise and cuddles. Very lucky to have Ashley's obvious love of dogs looking after mine, would defo recommend Ashley's doggy boarding and daycare.

My dog belle has now been with Ashley twice, both times she has taking brilliant care of her. She is always tired when we pick her because she has had so much fun.

Today was Phoebe's first time at Ashley's Doggy Day Care and she had the best time ! Ashley provided me with regular updates and pictures of Phoebe with the other dogs which was so good and Ashley made Phoebe very welcome indeed. Boarding Buddy’s are fantastic. We left our dog here while we were away for a week and was in no doubt he was well looked after. Also often see Mhairi along the shanwell road and she’s fantastic with the dogs, they all have a great time.

Would highly recommend Michelle at TLC Pet care & dog walking services. We booked Michelle to look after our 2 rabbits whilst we were off on holiday. Michelle was thorough in getting to know what the bunnies routine was and sent us pictures of what she had kindly set up for them during their stay. We have been with Michelle for over 10 years, our doggie loves her and we love her. Michelle goes above and beyond we know our doggie is in safe, caring hands and that he has just the best fun. Van is very clean, comfortable, ventilated water provided and safe. Michelle makes sure doggies are comfortable water etc when drops off. Michelle is a very caring and punctual girl who clearly loves animals.Not only does she offer dog walking but all sorts of different services to all types of different animals.Michelle was a former RSPCA inspector as well and her knowledge of animals is invaluable.I know I can contact her anytime for advice.When Michelle is out with the dogs she always looks after them and gives them all her attention to them.Their welfare is her priority.I would definitely recommend/trust Michelle with all animals in her care as she is clearly an animal lover. Michelle is a brilliant dog walker and boarder! Our excitable two year old Labrador has been walked by Michelle since he was a puppy and he absolutely adores her. It’s clear she loves what she does - she doesn't just walk dogs; she invests time and effort in understanding each dog's unique needs and our Lab comes home happy, exercised, and clearly well-loved. Michelle is punctual, reliable, and professional and her communication is excellent. She sends daily updates and lots of photos to keep us connected which is lovely (and often hilarious) to see! Our lab has also boarded with Michelle several times - he comes home tired and happy and it gives us great peace of mind to know he’s well cared for when we’re away. We’re grateful to have found such a trustworthy and caring walker for our lab! Highly recommend Michelle :-)

I own a border terrier and due to change of job, some days my dog would have to stay at home. I contacted TLC Pet Care and agreed to meet up with Michelle on one of her dog walks, I was very impressed by how she handles the dogs and has very kind nature towards them. She knows each of individually and how to treat them to get them to obey her. Considering there was 11 dogs that was impressive, After spending an hour with her, I had no hesitation in having my dog booked in with her, for her to take him out on the days I would have to leave him at home, now four weeks later I’m sure my dog prefers to stay at home knowing he is going out on one of her walks rather than coming to work with me. I highly recommend to anyone TLC Pet care and dog walking services.

Best place you could put your dog. The dogs are so well looked after and Amanda and Mitchell are so caring towards the dogs and make everything easy. Our dog comes home happy and stimulated every time she goes and we know she gets the best care whilst she's there.

I now know that dogs can tell time....Tiko, my German Shepherd, on a Monday and Thursday morning, knowing he's going to the Red Collar, is high as a kite and can't wait to get into the car. I know that by the way he runs to whoever answers the bell, he loves it there, probably enjoying being someone else's pain in the butt for a wee while;....but seriously ...dogs are pack animals, and at the Red collar they are running and playing in packs. socialising and learning how to behave in the company of other dogs ...you can;t get better.....anywhere.

Absolutely amazing! From a dog mum who thought no one could look after her dog properly, to now I feel guilty if my dog hasn't been out to Red Collar! Dogs absolutely love it and it is such good value for money. Can't fault it and the owners really know their stuff.

We've taken our puppy Maisie twice now and she loves being with Amanda and Mitchell because she always comes home worn out from having so much fun. Maisie will be a regular visitor for fun and cuddles.

My border collie loves this place,staff are all really friendly and at the end of every day they post hundreds of pictures of what the dogs have been getting up to.

Barking Mad is an excellent service! I have used Barking Mad for a number of years for my dogs and I've never been disappointed. Our dogs have been very well looked after and when the van pulls up to collect them there is great excitement from them about going on holiday! Elaine and John are genuinely caring towards the dogs and we leave them feeling confident that they will be well looked after and have a great time! Thoroughly recommend.

I have been a Barking Mad Host and service user for almost 20 years. Elaine and John are the third owners I have worked with and not only are they lovely people, they are by far the most enthusiastic, committed owners of the service. Not only do they ensure dogs have a fabulous holiday in appropriate surroundings, they have developed a very caring community for the Hosts. All your lovely dogs are looked after so well in their holiday homes.

After a bad experience with dog care some years ago, I thought I would never go on holiday again – until I found Barking Mad. My pooch has some quirky habits which require particular care and attention – John and Elaine came to the house to meet him, took note of everything down to the smallest detail and found the perfect host who catered for all his needs. I went to visit my family in New Zealand and had heaps of text messages, photos and video showing my dog out on lovely walks, having lots of fun and looking totally relaxed. I have already booked my next holiday and have every confidence that with Barking Mad, my dog will receive the same care, attention and love that he gets at home. I can’t rate this organisation highly enough, they are simply the best.

I cannot recommend barking mad fife enough. When your going on holiday you want your furry friend to be looked after the same way you look after them at home. You want peace of mind and reassurance, this is exactly what Elaine and John provide. No detail is missed out and they cover absolutely everything with you in a 2 hour initial meeting before they board your dog. Our dog has joint issues which can limit some activities, this issue was 100% taken on board while our dog was in Elaine and Johns care. I think it’s important to know any health issues your dog may have will be looked after correctly. You’ll receive updates with photos when you are away- chances are your furry friend is also having a 5 star luxury holiday of their own! The service is second to none and worth every penny. I cannot rate Elaine and John highly enough.

Since we first used John and Elaine at Barking Mad to look after our Gordon Setter "Floyd" for six weeks in 2017 we would not consider placing him anywhere else. He loves going with them and has the time of his life running with the pack in the hills and swimming in the sea. While he's away we get regular pictures and videos sent so we can see how happy he is. We would have no hesitation recommending them even for long stays. Peter and Maureen.

Our last dog Trey, a ‘silver surfer’ was always looked after so well and loved his holibags with Elaine and John. He was a withdrawn guide dog who had bad arthritic legs who just loved people and we worried how he would be staying with others. We needn’t have worried as he loved every second and was always cared for to our exact needs regarding his food and medication. When we lost him our two new girls who are rescue labradors now go on holiday with them too. As I am now disabled it was a huge worry for me that if I had to do anything at short notice, who would look after my dogs? I am so lucky that Elaine and John have always gone the extra mile for me when I have needed care for the girls at very short notice sometimes so that this now is not an issue. If anyone is considering dog care I would say let your dogs go on holiday with John and Elaine. You can have total peace of mind to enjoy whatever you are doing in the knowledge that your fur babies will be having a blast with the best care possible and being treated as part of a family with all their home comforts.

This is a wonderful service, run and owned by 2 devoted dog lovers. Elaine and John are friendly, caring and very professional people, they ensure that you and your dogs safety, comfort any special needs are their main priority. We were extremely happy with every aspect of the service they provided, which allowed my Wife and I to enjoy our break/holiday away, knowing that our 'Kizzi' was safe and happy! Many thanks to you both and we will be using your service anytime we ever wish to go away, when we are unable to take Kizzi.

Excellent service provided by wonderful and devoted staff. Nothing is too much for them as in our case when our pooch has to go to the vets, as she does once a month, it is no hassle whilst we are on holiday. Her dog sitter is excellent as well and we know that the dog is being well cared for. Keep up the good work and I would recommend them to anyone.

Once again I would like to thank John and Elaine for their exceptional service and dedication they gave us recently with Flora. Also cannot thank them enough for helping us out at such short notice for my father in laws funeral. Lynne,Alan,Emma and not forgetting Nugget are wonderful hosts. Flora came back bouncy, full of life and started eating without me having to remind her. Whenever Flora sees the bag and the car draws up to fetch her she cannot contain her excitement. I would just like to say what a brilliant place claws and paws are. I put my 1year old cat Dave here when I went on holiday for 2 weeks, when I sent a message to them while I was away to make sure Dave was ok, they reassured me was ok and happy. Can’t praise them enough. Brilliant cattery x

Our boy Strike stayed here for four nights and was so happy when we picked him up. The owners were so lovely and you could tell they genuinely care about the animals. This was our first experience of kennels and I couldn't recommend them more highly.

Lovely couple ,looked after our bengal furbabies while on holiday in South America. Billy even constructed some wooden climbing frames and shelves for them ,we were sent pics of both of our cats . Very pleased, will definitely be coming back
