We truly felt welcomed and appreciated for our time at this housesit. There can sometimes be a transactional nature to these things, but our well-being seemed as high a priority for Jane & Sam as the well-being of their kitties. While we knew from the first meeting that Jane & Sam would be gracious & communicative homeowners to work with, what we didn’t know was that Marty & Indy would be some of the coolest cats on Trusted House Sitters! Both have very unique personalities that were a joy to interact with and befriend. The responsibilities themselves are quite simple, which gave us plenty of time to birdwatch from their extremely ergonomic hot tub, enjoy the fancy device Sammy invented to be able to stream almost any media content from around the world, and the many nearby attractions to explore— from the cute historic downtown to the breathtaking waterfalls nearby. If Asheville is feeling a bit crowded to you these days, Hendersonville is where it’s at! We’d recommend this sit without reservation. Thank you guys so much again…We look forward to crossing paths the next time we are in town!
Our stay at Sarah’s hilltop villa in a small village was a unique sitting experience. Her two indoor/outdoor cats, Diva and Vangelis, warmed up to us right away. We were happy to sit with them and give pets and affection. We would be pleased to take care of them again (no litter boxes to clean which is a plus!) Her house and property has a wonderful view of the olive trees and grapevines for miles. The rural location means lots of quiet days and nights. Sarah provides a very detailed book for instruction on caring for garden, pool, water system, etc. We also were able to use her car to go into the village as needed. We really appreciated that! Sarah is a very gracious host and we wouldn’t hesitate to sit for her in the future.
Wowza!! Well, what a kind, wonderful couple! We so loved meeting these 2. We enjoyed a fabulous dinner prior to our sit and we spent the night in their home prior to their early departure. Very comfy bed, I might say! Donna and Bryan's home was also very comfortable with...Lots of space to relax and the kitchen is very well equipped and I so loved cooking in it! Communicating with Donna & Bryan was so easy and, I have to say, FUN! They are such a happy easy going couple! Then there is Baxter :-> Such an old lovely soul! He has such a good personality and definitely communicates with his expressions. When I would get a look, I would double check the very well organized "Bible" until I had the routine down. Baxter knows his routine and will not let you miss a step. However, it truly is not a difficult routine! He LOVES his walks and seems such like a puppy at times that you forget that he is a senior dog. Oh, and you cannot leave out the cuddles! We cuddled every morning and evening! I would highly recommend this sit! This is a dream couple with a dream dog in a beautiful comfy home! Donna, Bryan, and Baxter should get 10 stars!! Oh, I can't forget the town of Okotoks. We loved walking the trails that go everywhere!! We enjoyed walking down to Old Town Okotoks and enjoying a meal and drinks and the Royal Duke! So many great restaurants right in Okotoks!
Stacey was a fantastic host, very welcoming, and very easy to communicate with. Simone loves spurts of play and cuddling - often finding a spot nestled right next to me while reading or watching a movie. She absolutely loves playing with her peacock feathers in particular and perching on her cat tree. She was a joy to sit for. Stacey's home is located at a beautiful spot in West Seattle with views of Mount Rainier. Would absolute recommend to any future sitters!
My daughter and I had a great time taking care of dexter and piper, beautiful, intelligent and very loving. The apartment is very well located and taking the dogs for a walk was very rewarding. Thank you Melanie for all your trust and all your love. Carlos and Hunab
Sara Lee and the ginger boys are simply wonderful. The house is clean, cozy, and welcoming. Ancho and Cayenne are such love bugs - though as mentioned Cayenne takes a little warming up. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed taking care of them! 10/10 would recommend!
