Alicia was a wonderful pet-sitter for our dog, Lottie, and for our daughter’s fish, Lychee! She was in touch with us daily with photos of Lottie, sometimes accompanied by her friendly lab Mitch, and even sent a video of Lychee, which our daughter appreciated. We felt so comfortable with the care and attention paid to Lottie and would definitely welcome Alicia again! As a house sitter, Alicia was amazing as well. After our week away, we returned to our house and found it in the same condition we had left it (if not a little cleaner…). During our time away, the remnants of hurricane Debby passed through our area. We were worried about how the storms would impact Alicia’s stay, but she kept us up to date, which allowed us to enjoy our vacation in a way that would not have been possible without her there. Overall, Alicia was amazing and we couldn’t recommend her highly enough!
We felt welcome in Lizbeth’s home. It was tidy and organized and Lizbeth even offered to get us some snacks before our visit. She is a great communicator and even left a print out of the welcome guide and post-it notes to help us navigate her home. We loved the bathroom and we were in a great area…a 15-20 minute ride to all that DC has to offer. There’s also the option of public transportation. Bob is a big, lovable dog and is easy to take care of. He has a little doggie door that he can use if he needs to go outside. He was a little skittish with us initially when it was time for his walk, but didn’t pull while walking or bark when he saw other dogs. Bob also likes to play and chill out on his chair. We highly recommend this sit.
We had a great time in Walcot with Fizz, Frazzle & Spice! Pippa's home is spacious and comfortable with beautiful gardens and outside areas. It has every amenity you could possibly need for a lovely stay. We had a large bedroom which had a very comfortable bed and an ensuite shower room with a great shower. The dogs Fizz & Frazzle were a joy to be around. We took them on endless walks across the nearby fields and further on to lovely little villages dotted around the area. Fizz is a mature Labrador but still managed some spurts of energy when out & about. She is a lovely dog and showed affection in a quiet way. Frazzle on the other hand is a young Spaniel and is full of life! She certainly kept us entertained on our walks and made us laugh all the time. She is so affectionate and very smart, a real pleasure to be around. Spice, the cat, spent a lot of time under the sofa basking in the warmth of the underfloor heating. :) When she did come out of her hiding place she was vocal and affectionate and was no trouble at all. With regards to the location, you definitely need a car to get to places that can offer shopping and eateries etc but everywhere is very accessible and not too far away at all. All in all a great Sit!
My partner Nicol and I enjoyed looking after Rocco and Patch. Patch is full of energy and loves everyone, Rocco is shy but lovely once you get to know him. The area is beautiful, lots of great walks, and a quiet area. Slavica was very welcoming showing us around, and we felt right at home.
Anne is a very kind hearted and reliable person. Right from the beginning she showed herself available for whatever questions, doubts and needs I had. She genuinely loves animals so it was lovely to share that love and be able to interact with her during my stay regarding Wanda, her beautiful and loving cat. She always showed herself trusting right from the beginning which made me feel very much at home. Thank you so much Anne!
We fell in love with Danny. He's such a sweet heart. Max was very welcoming and it's a very cute apartment close to lots of good places to eat. Would love to hang out with Danny again
I can highly recommend this house sit for Jenny & Barry. They made me feel so welcome on arrival and in their home which set the tone for my memorable stay. Their communications, detailed welcome guide and comprehensive tour made the sit very easy. Their home was so charming, clean and comfortable. I fell in love with Louise. She was just gorgeous and has the most beautiful nature. She was truly a joy to be around. It was hard to say goodbye. I would love to house sit for them again!
