We really, really enjoyed this beautiful housesit. The communication with Jen was quick, friendly, and easy and her two dogs, Jack and Maggie, are absolutely adorable. The area as well as Jen’s house are stunning and we immediately felt welcome and at home. We will definitely miss the walks with Jack and Maggie and really much recommend this housesit ☺️

I had a wonderful time pet sitting Daisy and looking after Rob and Laurie's beautiful house. From the beginning, the communication was great, which I believe is very important to start building trust with each other. They answered all my questions and gladly accepted to pick me up in Ottawa to bring me to their place, and to get me to Ottawa at the end of the sitting. Everything went great. I fell in love with Daisy who is an adorable and very playful cat. She will quickly become your best friend! I'm going to miss her a lot. The house is lovely, surrounded by trees. I loved the nature there! I also loved discovering the Ottawa area with beautiful historical towns and trails. Ottawa, which is only 20 minutes away by car, has a lot to offer! Rob and Laurie are the loveliest persons who will welcome you like family. Highly recommend looking after Daisy !
My first international TH pet-sit with Birdie was great! Birdie took several days to warm to me, but once she did, she became my little shadow. She loves her wet-food-mealtimes, treats, rolling around on the carpets, playing "chase" with her black shoelace (so agile!), and guiding humans to her "brushing" chair. She desires soft brushing for random amounts of time, which helps, as she was shedding quite a bit; she will swat at you open-clawed when she's over it, so be warned! Birdie loves to supervise whatever you're doing around the apartment, whether from on top of the washer/dryer, the plant shelves, or from under the clothes drying rack. She is an independent kitty that will adorably nap on her scratcher toy in the afternoons/evenings. It was a joy to have her greet me at the door whenever I'd arrive home. Perhaps one of the BEST things about Birdie was that she let me sleep continuously throughout the night! Even if she did creep into my bedroom at some point, I never heard her - had a fan and a noise machine that are FANTASTIC at blocking-out city noise - and one of the few times that she DID jump onto my bed, I believe she was checking to see if I was still alive (I'd had food poisoning, so there was a lot of bed rest that day!). Eric and Betsy warmly welcomed me to their home in Mexico City, and gave me a tour of their home and immediate neighborhood. Their apartment is spacious, comfortable, and light-filled, and is in a popular, walkable area, full of eateries, coffee shops, trees, and public transport options. I was able to re-stock on household items that they were low on, and was quickly reimbursed for my purchases. There was construction/renovations going on in their building - and in the neighborhood - for almost all of my time there, but that is par for the course in densely-populated, big cities. Eric was my main contact before and during my stay, and he did an excellent job in responding to my inquiries and concerns in a very timely manner. I appreciated his recommendations and his thoroughness. Birdie did develop an allergic reaction in her left eye during my stay, and Eric and Betsy arranged for vet techs to stop by and provide a "distanced" exam and medication. This was a minor illness, with her only symptoms being slight discharge and a watery, wink-y eye; Birdie fully recovered! I am grateful to have visited CDMX, and to have enjoyed the company of a sweet cat while there. I highly recommend working with Eric and Betsy, and caring for Birdie!
My first international sit in Lucerne is one that I will cherish and remember forever. Kim is the ultimate host-warm, generous and exceptionally welcoming. Her clean and well-organized apartment is a cozy haven where you will instantly feel right at home thanks to Kim’s thoughtful touches and attention to detail. There is excellent communication throughout as Kim truly cares that your experience is five star and that Merlot is happy and safe. I felt an instant connection to Merlot, Kim’s cuddly, playful, energetic and beautiful dog who is the very best cuddly sofa companion after busy days of roaming the streets of Lucerne. He is a social butterfly particularly drawn to people and children whose eyes light up when they see him and he loves the attention (as long as you’re not the mailman😉). Merlot enjoys regular visits to the gorgeous lake-side dog park for much-welcomed runs and plays with his dog park pals. Kim has an excellent routine in place so Merlot’s feeding and toileting needs are easily met. He relaxes nicely in restaurants so is easy to take along for meals out. If you are a healthy and active animal lover looking for a sit in a spectacularly beautiful city in a gorgeous, well-positioned apartment within walking distance to the lake, this is the sit for you. Bailey, Phoebe, and Kailey are such sweet dogs! So is the cat, Luna. Having a backyard made it easy for the dogs to get their energy out and hangout. Their owners were organized and communicative. Would sit again.
