It was a real pleasure caring for Maisie and Muffy - beautiful Siamese sisters. Andrew and Mary's home is spotless and very comfortable. Mary left clear and precise instructions for everything which helps immensely when you are stepping into someone shoes and responsibility. M&M have quite defined personalities. Maisie being the 'Boss' but Muffy is no pushover either. AFter an initial shyness they settled quickly with us; being made aware of their routines and likes beforehand is a great help. Soon they were purring for England, playing with my knitting yarn and following us wherever we went - such dear cats. We look forward to helping Andrew and Mary again.
Annie is a welcoming person. We felt right at home immediately. Annie has two wonderful animals. Her horse, Jupiter, was less than a 15 min drive. Annie walked us through the process of feeding him and taking him on a short walk. Mikey, her housecat, is full of personality and is fun to take care of. Being on the 10 floor in the heart of Reno is perfect for walking anywhere. The sunset views from her place were breathtaking. It was a perfect housesit for us.
What a great time we had at Catz’s place. We stayed in a traditional house in a very small village. The house is very comfortable (even being under construction) and it has everything you need. The cats are absolutely amazing! Very sweet, lovable and we fell in love with them! They have a very pleasant garden and a nice little gym in the basement! Catz are very lovely, and let us feel like home from the first minute. We can’t thank her enough for the kindness and for giving us the opportunity to look after Loki, Zeus and Raiden ?
I have enjoyed a wonderful week, looking after Max at his home in Winchcombe. I found Sue, Rob & their daughter Sophie to be a generous & caring family who dearly love Max. It was clearly important to them that I felt comfortable & enjoyed my stay. Their home, including the sunny garden provided everything that I needed and more. Communication with Sue & Sophie prior, during & after the Sit felt easy & informative. We had a hand-over the day before which I found helpful for getting to know Max’s routine and the workings of their home & the area. Winchcombe is a picturesque, historical town surrounded by beautiful countryside with many places of interest, including Sudeley Castle, & the town is on the route of the Cotswold Way. Max is a funny & lovable little character. And in my getting to know Max, this is what I learned – Max’s Likes – • A local walk where he can meet up with all his doggie friends. Max is willing to go further afield on adventures but might need some initial encouragement. In the mornings we tended to walk varying distances up to 6 miles, with a much shorter walk late afternoon / early evening. Max walked happily on an extendable lead, mainly due to the ever-present risk of meeting sheep & chasing rabbits. He was well behaved when visiting dog-friendly shops within the town(s). • Max ate well & was quite flexible with his meal times. He enjoys treats but does not pester for them, or for food generally. • Lots of human interaction, plenty of strokes & the odd belly rub. Max is a very companionable dog who likes to be close & often opted to join me on the sofa & to sleep on my bed at night. • Max enjoys a game of football out in the garden & will play with some of the toys from his toy box. • Max behaved well when travelling for the odd trip in the back of my car. In fact he was quite eager to get in so as not to feel that he might otherwise be left behind. Max’s Dislikes – • Max’s main hate are Pigeons. Max likes to Pigeon Patrol his garden & chase pigeons as a demonstration of his dominance. • Max does not want to be lifted or carried. • Paw cleaning. Max was reluctant to having his paws wiped. So, this was easily resolved by laying out a towel for him to walk over & sit down upon when returning from a muddy walk. • TV Dogs. Whilst settling down on the sofa to watch the programme Doc Martin together, Max took an instant dislike to the mischievous dog Buddy, who features in many of the scenes. He began growling. As soon as there was a scene change that did not involve Buddy, Max relaxed back in to the programme. Well Done, particularly to Max. And Thanks Again for a Great Stay.
Allison and her pets were absolutely divine to sit for! For my first sit with TrustedHousesitters, they really made it memorable! Mr Waffles and Artemis were so loving and precious and just a pleasure to look after! Spooky and Allison's new addition Puurl were just as lovely - I had the best week looking after the four of them. On our evening walks we often saw Smokey (who would accompany us for a stroll). Allison was so incredibly welcoming, kind and responsive throughout my time with her pets. Her home is cosy and has everything you need to feel at home. I would love to housesit for her and her little gang again in the future!
Mark and Lynn were fantastic hosts! We arrived the day before they left, so they could show us around their town, take us through the dogs usual routines and get us settled. They also cooked us dinner and left us some food to get us started which was much appreciated. Finn, Murphy and Lulu are the absolute best! We miss them already. Finn is a kind old boy, who often shadowed Richard or I on the daily walks. Murphy was an absolute sweetheart who loved his belly rubs. Lulu was a bundle of energy, her and Murphy loved running around with each other on the daily walks. We took all three to the beach nearby which was a fabulous morning, the pups were well behaved, enjoyed the water, tired but happy when we got home. The house is quiet and peaceful, with beautiful mountain walks on the doorstep. The view of the sunset from the sunroom was beautiful. Thank you Mark and Lynn for a fabulous stay! We had an amazing time and would highly recommend this sitting experience to anyone. We hope to come back one day!
