I can' t thank Melissa(and Alex) enough for coming up to the Prescott area from Tucson to take on our menagerie AND all the watering needs of our gardens during the heat of pre-monsoon season in July. Our oldest and loved hen died during their stay, and they buried her in great style, decorating her grave with a beautiful heart rock. They fended off - in a nice way! - a couple of strangers who drove down to the property to check out the vineyard. Melissa watched, and reported to me, the progress of a couple of batches of fledglings who were taking to the air just as we left, and they took the time to watch, unafraid, as a beautiful king snake ventured onto their porch and wanted to explore the cottage! In addition, all the barn animals were fed, watered, mucked-out so well. We couldn't have asked for a lovelier family to come and stay and, needless to say, we hope they would venture up to help us out again. Thank you, thank you, thank you to them both!
Joe was absolutely terrific. He was kind, reliable and communicative, and went out of his way to assure us that everything was under control. This was the first time we left our pets with someone since moving into our new home and there are some details about staying at our place that are important to ensure the pets are safe. Joe managed everything with ease and went above and beyond to make sure all the pets were safe and content. He exercised our dog frequently (and took her with him wherever she was allowed to go), played with the cats, and made sure the schedule for feeding, care and safety was followed. He even cleared a path from our house to the adjacent park that had become obstructed. We returned home to a spotless house and a cute bouquet of flowers from the garden on the table. We highly recommend Joe and would welcome him again without hesitation.
Really loved to housesit for Helen. Her dogs and cat are so lovable, that all day you will have a great time with them. The house is lovely and so Bristol.
Jo and Phil, a welcoming, thoughtful and generous couple, live in a lovely house in a small village that has numerous areas for walking the 2 gorgeous labs, Bode & Fern. Both are so obedient both on & off the lead, Bode having a steading influence over Fern when walking together on the lead. Fern has lots of energy and absolutely loves people and attention. At home they are very chilled and love cuddles. Lily & Benji are 2 rabbits with attitude, easy to look after, though are like Houdini trying to escape if you are not watchful during feeding and hutch cleaning. Communication before, during and after was excellent, we really enjoyed our stay & would be delighted to be asked again. We highly recommend this sit.
Kelvin and his family are adorable host. They were accommodants for the date of arrival which really facilitated. The appartment is well equiped. Duggee is really a happy and sociable dog. Easy to take on hikes and mellow when he meets other dogs. He is a young energetic doodle who needs his dose of exercises but is very calm in the house when it's relax time. There is a few trails accessible directly from the house. Duggee is calm in the car when we bring him on longer trails. We highly recommand this sit :)
We had an amazing time with Pumpkin and Watson. Jeff is techy and a great communicator, he has pretty much everything in their lives automated and helpful videos if you have any questions! I would warn you that Watson gives "love-bites" and Pumpkin gives "I've had enough attention bites".
Little Wanda is so special. When I had my first video call with Leila, she explained me everything about her past and all the trauma she experienced until she was rescued. She survived a lot and still amazes me how sweet she is, in spite of all. I met Leila the day she was flying out. She welcomed me into her home and showed me around. We walked Wanda together and she made sure I knew all the details about her routine and food. After Leila left, Wanda cried for a little bit so I gave her extra attention (and belly rubs!), until she felt safe. From that moment we became good friends and since then she gave me nothing but the purest love. Seeing her so confortable and excited made me feel so happy, and I can’t thank her enough for trusting me. If you ever want to visit Mexico City, here is the spot. Leila’s house is beautiful, perfectly located in Condesa neighborhood. The apartment has everything you can need and more. You get to stay in a very cool place and wake up to this little fluff ball ready to give you tons of kisses and cuddles. Thank you Leila and Wanda for being so kind to me! I hope everyone gets the chance to sit for you.
