Hannah was top notch! Where do I begin? I’ll begin with the fact that she jumped into caregiver mode when our cat swallowed a huge piece of grass and had to go to pet emergency for surgery. 😮‍💨 Hannah was amazing! So caring and responsive. She called the veterinarian and ultimately the pet hospital, consulting and keeping us in the loop the whole time! She ended up spending a good 24 hours dealing with this emergency and kitty was ok. After this we consulted on ways to prevent this from happening again and decided to try to keep him inside. Hannah showed a tremendous amount of patience as she put up with him howling to go out continuously. She made efforts to ease this transition by buying fancy toys to try to distract and keep him entertained. In the end we decided to let him out for short periods of time to satisfy his need for exploration and exercise. Hannah never did anything w/o communicating with us and she was kind and patient throughout! She developed a close bond with our cat, and after this unfortunate crisis, things settled down and she was able to enjoy nightly cuddles with the cat. In addition, Hannah cared for all of our outdoor and indoor plants, took in mail, took out garbage and even mailed a few things for us! I highly recommend Hannah for any future house/pet sitting! She is responsible, easy going, flexible and trustworthy!!

This was a great sit! Gracie was super helpful as a host and had everything organized for us. Nelly is the sweetest kitty and easy to care for.

We had the best time looking after Sarah's gorgeous house and doggies, they were such a joy to look after and well really miss them! We had the lovely surprise of newborn lambs in the connecting field too which were fascinating to watch. Great location to explore the countryside and lovely walks in the woods and fields near by with the dogs. Thank you for a warm welcome and an enjoyable stay.

I felt very welcome in Gail's home. Gail went out of her way to make sure I was all set. Communication was great and the stay was very comfortable. Charlie was also welcoming :) She warmed up to me right away and was fun to play with and easy to care for.

This house sit is in a quirky old home that is being lovingly renovated. It’s located in a very desirable neighborhood in Asheville, just 5 minutes from downtown. The back yard is securely fenced in, which made potty breaks a breeze. The hosts are a very sweet family and their boho decor and thoughtfully picked out items made you feel like you had stepped back in time, where things are handmade and time is supposed to move more slowly. The house has central heat and air as well as 3 minis-splits, so even on cold nights it stayed toasty. Both their dogs were very loving and had distinct personalities.

Lua (who I called my little fox) is a feisty cuddle bug who is eager to please. She loves to play fetch and pester their other dog. She is the cutest darn dog. She can make it about 5 hours between potty breaks and was a joy to have around. Her morning cuddles will be remembered and I’ll miss her.

Roux is older and just likes to chill in the house and rotate between the bedroom and sofas. He is a very sensitive soul and very shy. You’ll need to spend a little time to get him out of his shell. When I arrived he hid under a chair in a room and needed coaxing out. I was rewarded with lots of kisses, once he did come out. He grew more friendly, cuddly and trusting over our 4 nights with him, and eventually joined Lua for morning cuddles in the guest bedroom. He seemed to instantly connect with my husband, Reid, so he may have a gender preference for male sitters.

I would certainly recommend this house sit, sweet family, and very loving pets.

Sarah-Kay
Fun sit! Sarah-Kay was very accommodating :) Ella took a bit of warming up to be comfortable with me at first, but once she did she was a great dog to watch and very low maintenance. She likes to sit in the sun in the backyard, hang out with you on the couch, and go for walks (although she does pull very heavily on the leash).

Moira and Rob are lovely owners of a beautiful, old farmhouse. There's a very comfy housesitter suite. Birdie is SO sweet and Finn is rambunctious and playful and often needs a bit of redirection. Huge backyard for dogs to run and play. Cats come and go on their own and don't really need much more than food and water. The lovely town of Lambertville is close by and a delight to visit. I enjoyed my time there.
