This has absolutely been a wonderful experience! I've enjoyed Stacy's enthusiastic communication. This was my longest housesit so far and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Most of the stay was without pets. However, the house is on a canal, and there is endless wildlife to watch from amazing birdlife to small mammals and so many protected deer... It takes all of 3 minutes to grab a life vest and launch a kayak from the dock. The canal is the focus with an array of windows and a sun room facing it. The ocean is about a 15 minutes walk away with miles of beach to explore. Ocean Shores is a resort community on a peninsula that is mostly forested to the Olympic Mountains to the north and visible on clear days. Therefore, it is unique in that there is oft possibility to see wildlife. A gateway to the Olympics is only an hour away at Lake Quinault. With such a long stay, I made some lovely new friends.... Mostly dog lovers on the beach. It is possible to purchase all groceries and supplies in Ocean Shores. The drug store actually has a number of healthy choices as well and Aberdeen, the next larger town has larger grocery stores and a great health food store. Once the dogs arrived, I found each one cuddly and funny. We went on long forest walks each morning. They helped coach my morning exercises with encouraging kisses. I'm grateful to Stacy, her sweet dogs and lovely place.
Sitting for Iris an Karel ultimately feels like an investment in yourself. They take what could be an exchange of services and infuse it with kindness and thoughtful details. Their home and surrounding environment leave you walking away feeling nurtured and gifted with an opportunity for self care that’s often forgotten in the frenetic pace of today. All of the details needed to be set up for success were outlined in a welcome guide and nuances were covered as we crossed paths prior to their departure. Oliver, the feline of the family, was so fun to spend time with. He began each day strolling by my side and providing a morning debrief as I prepared his food. Once I decoded his petting preferences (no ears, simultaneous cupping on both sides of his face, long strokes from back of head to tip of tail) he melted in to a puddle of purrs. Evening brushing sessions were a favorite. Oliver would guide me to focused areas by leaning in with his face or rotating to offer up a side or spot. Dr. Doolittle, brought me much joy. It was such a treat to care for a tortoise and be reminded of nuances of their movement and behavior that I’d forgotten about from my early years. I highly recommend this sit to any other trusted housesitters that may be considering.
We had a lovely sit with Lucy and Suki. Lisbeth and Richard were also great hosts. Lucy was a very nice dog and very well behaved! We would definitely recommend to any housesitters.
We had a wonderful weekend with Emma, Jack, Mickey and Missy! They were so friendly, loveable and well behaved. Sabrina was amazing to communicate with and we were very comfortable in her home. It was so great to have the fields nearby to walk the dogs. We would be happy to stay again!
Emily and Luke were super friendly and easy to chat to from the off. It was lovely to meet them at the flat to give me a run through and meet the boys. Wilbur and Ferris are so sweet and a dream to care for. Their routine is very simple and they are super affectionate characters. Emily and Luke’s flat is beautiful and they made me feel very at home from the off. It's in a great location to explore the local area. It was a pleasure to take care of Bea, Mowgli, and Binx! I didn't get to meet Hillary in person but we had a phone call, and later communicated via text. When I arrived, I had a bit of a hard time figuring out where pet food was, but Hillary promptly helped me via text. Bea is super sweet, and loves cuddling; we went on short neighborhood walks (<= 20min) as she didn't seem to be interested in longer ones, but we did it frequently. Binx is young, and loves attention, and games. Mowgli liked to keep to himself but occasionally he would come to me, and allow me to pet him. He seems to like to visit the next door neighbor; the neighbor has a cat, too. I enjoyed that Tiburon is safe to walk around and has great views of the Bay; I recommend checking out the Bay trail that starts near Blackie's Pasture park. Great stay, and I am already missing the animals!

I have been bringing my chocolate Lab mix for grooming for the past 5 years. My dog is nervous around strangers and tends to tremble & whine when we are not with him. However the groomer here has been caring, making sure to make him feel at ease. He comes back smelling good and all clean after his medicated shampoo bath, ear cleaning, teeth brushing & nail grinding. While there have been ups & downs in the past with staff, right now the front desk team is friendly & helpful. Big shout out to Samantha who is a groomer there.
This is our go to place for our mutts. And it’s only gotten better lately. Our one dog- who isn’t a fan of kennels- now actually is excited when we get to Best Friends. Let’s aren’t cheap and neither is boarding- but this has become our go to place because it’s close, it’s clean, and we are genuinely impressed w the people that work there.
Completely happy with Best Friends Pet Hotel. My Senior cat, who loves people, is definitely better off here than with someone coming by once a day at home. My other cat was fine with that, but not this guy. The staff are warm, friendly, professional and capable. When I come in they all remember me and my pet! If you are a cat owner and need to travel, I recommend Best Friends Pet Hotel.
My very nervous dog needed a paw trim and nail clipping. The woman was so so nice to him, asking her colleague to come and pet my dog as she cut and trimmed. She did a wonderful job! I love Best Friends for full grooming, too. I feel very comfortable leaving my dog in their care.
I have only used the grooming services here but Laurie is the best groomer! I know my pup is in good hands and always looks beautiful when I pick her up!
I have been bringing my cavapoo Finn for grooming to Anya at Best Friends for a couple of years. He always comes out looking great and just as I had asked for. They are as accommodating as possible when I call for appointments (she is very popular, so I have learned to call a few weeks ahead).
The staff here took fabulous care of my pigeon Peace all week! They also shared some great photos from his stay. It is challenging to find such a good bird sitter, particularly one that will let you bring your bird in his usual cage. Thanks for everything.
Anja is amazing with our mini schnauzer! After trying several groomers, we found Best Friends and Anja in Rockville. When the Rockville location closed we followed Best Friends and Anja to Gaithersburg even though it is further away. Well worth the drive!
First time I used Best Friends for Boarding I am very impressed. My dog is very loving, and sweet, however she doesn’t always get along with other dogs. The attendance paid special attention to her needs and showed her fun playtime and love. She was very happy and relaxed when I picked her up. I will definitely use Best Friends again. Thank you to everyone who works here, very friendly group.
I was very pleased with Best Friends. The staff was friendly and Anya, the groomer, did an excellent job. My dog, Bella, requires a bit of special care and everyone who handled her was very considerate of her needs. I will definitely be bringing her back for future groomings.

We have been using Caroline/Spoiled Pawz for dog sitting and cat care for the last few years and she's wonderful! We have an anxious dog, but he is always happy to go into her home and never hesitates. She has a big yard and dogs are able to go in and out as they please. Caroline is amazing, I have a hyper, dog/cat aggressive 105 pound Doberman that she accepted without hesitation. My walks are easier because of the leash training that Scotty has received from her. I had surgery in December '21 and she walked him for 6 weeks straight, 3 x per day, early in the morning, noon and late at night while I recovered. Excellent experience...from the initial, introductory meeting with Jeanette through several days working with terrific pet sitters. My two Havanese pups were handled professionally and with great attention to detail. All of my requests were covered...and the sitters shared so many great pictures throughout the day. We recently moved to Bethesda and are so lucky to have found The Right Fluff. We have already trusted them twice to take care of our 14 yr old asthmatic tabby while we travel. They came twice a day and sent us detailed descriptions of how she is feeling, eating, and taking her meds. We also get pictures(example attached)! Their online portal and scheduling tool is easy to use as well.
I really wanted to love this pet sitting company and I intended to use them every time we travel because of their glowing reviews… I was hoping our experience would be as amazing as other reviewers have described theirs… Unfortunately we came back from our trip to find our place in a horrific condition, there was pee all over our chase and couch, blankets and pillows, we had to throw it all away. The pee smell was sooo strong yet nobody from this company has noticed anything when I asked how could they let this happen… And for the reference we have 3 air purifiers, so you get the picture how bad it was… Cats were luckily okay and alive but all my plants have died since they have not be watered at all, and per my instructions they were supposed to take care of the plants too and water them regularly… I have reached out and expressed my grievances with the company and asked for a refund, they declined and suggested to replace all our dead plants, but that never happened and they took no responsibility for the issue with pee all over the house… So be aware, I would not recommend this company!!! Our experience was absolutely horrible, they are reckless and careless!!!

I have never left my 4 cats before so I was very worried about how they would do with a stranger coming in to check on them and take care of feedings, litter, etc. One elderly cat requires medication twice per day, one hides when strangers come in the house, and the other two make feeding four cats extremely difficult as you cannot get the food into the dishes without them trying to get at the cans. They are also all the same breed making it hard for people to tell who is who. None of this was an issue for the Right Fluff. They took such great care of my precious cats and truly put my mind to ease that they were safe and loved while I was away. I received updates and photos after the visits letting me know how everyone did. I am so happy to have found this great service and am looking forward to taking more time away from home knowing my cats have a great sitter!
We love The Right Fluff! We moved back to the area & needed to find a dog walker about two months ago for our two rescue dogs (medium-large sized). We feel so lucky to have found this group! I cannot rate this team highly enough! My wife and I had never used a pet sitter before, but we were traveling out of the country for ~2.5 weeks and wanted a pet sitter (we have two cats) that we could rely on. Marcy and Erin were both incredible to work with, they were very responsive and obviously knowledgeable about what they do. We had a meeting for them to meet our pets and go through our home/how to take care of our cats, and then afterward we arranged for the actual specifics of our trip (key drop off, etc.). All communication is logged via an online web service that has an app, but is also easily accessible via email/web browser. Each day that Erin visited she took photos of our cats for us to see, and also gave us a detailed description of how they were doing. Erin's messages became one of our favorite ways to start the day while we were away :) Would 100% work with this sitter again!
The Right Fluff Pet Sitting took care of my two cats for 3 weeks in July (2022) and I couldn’t be more satisfied. I found my girls in really good shape. I was very stressed because one of my cats is diabetic and needs to receive insulin twice a day. Scott and the team were absolutely perfect, they administered the insulin without problems, and I received reports and pictures for every visit. That let me to enjoy my vacation knowing that my cats were well taken care. My cats loved them, even the one who is always scared of strangers went to say hello every day to them and allow them to pet her. I will for sure use their services again next time I travel.

I had the absolute best experience with the outward bound hounds crew for our “everything but the sleepover” package. Not only did they handle my multi-dog, crate and rotate household (including one working dog!) but they took extra care of my pup who had tummy troubles and got him the veterinary care he needed. They provided thorough updates during every visit and seemed to genuinely enjoy spending time with the dogs. Each of them went above and beyond - all of this coming from a dog trainer who is VERY particular about my pet care! Highly recommend!

My girl, Evie, is not an easy pup. She can be weary of strangers and intimidating. My boy, Applesauce, is a bull headed, sweet tempered meathead with a penchant for escaping. I’d call him a Houdini, but he’s just not that smart, bless his smooshy face. Regina took their quirks in stride, literally. :) I feel very lucky that I don’t feel guilty leaving the dogs behind, they have their adventures while we are having ours
Tabi's Pet Care is the best! I recently used them for my two cats when I had to go away on a three-day business trip. I was impressed with them from the beginning. Both Tabitha (the company's owner) and Carissa (the pet sitter) did a meet and greet before my trip and we went over food, litter boxes and other things. While I was away, they were very responsive, showed up on time and took photos of my babies. They left messages for me after every visit as well to give an update. This was the first time my cats had ever had a pet sitter and I admit I was a little nervous. No need! They took such good care of my cats which really put my mind at ease. I am going to use them again over the holidays. A great experience all around. Very highly and enthusiastically recommended!
Have been using Tabi’s Pet Care for dog walks which have been great. With our schedule at home we usually have to schedule last minute and Tabi and company are always responsive and able to help. We recently just got back from being half way across the globe for two weeks. Like any dog parent we had some anxiety about leaving our pupper behind. However that was all put to rest even before we landed at our destination. Brian stayed at our house for the two weeks. He gave us daily updates in writing and pictures. The few times we reached out over text he was quick to respond. When we got home the house was as clean as we left it. The bed was even stripped. After being up for 38 hours it was the icing on the cake to come home to a well taken care of dog and a clean house. Will absolutely be using Tabi and group for all my dog walk/sitting needs going forward.
We had a family emergency where we needed to be gone for a few days, and Tabi was able to take care of our Frenchie very last minute. She took Enrique out for his walks and gave him his meds in the morning and updated us about every little thing. She even sent pics!! She took away so much stress from an already stressful situation. We are so grateful for her! Our dog loved her and you can tell she has such a big heart for animals! I’m only using her services from now on. So glad we found her! Truly one of a kind!!

Tabi did an excellent job grooming my soft coated wheaten terrier! The service was affordable compared to other groomers in the area but did not lack in quality at all! I loved hearing about how she gave my anxious pup frequent breaks and walks during the grooming and never had her in a crate. You can tell that she truly cares for the animals under her watch.
Tabi and Jen took amazing care of our four cats over an extended weekend -- so much so that they barely seemed to miss us! Highly recommend!
This was our first time using Tabi's pet care and it won't be the last! We first met Tabi and the person who would be caring for our cat, Carissa. I liked that both Tabi and Carissa came along to meet Oliver (our cat), ask questions and really seemed to 'get' Oliver. Carissa was WONDERFUL - every day of our absence we would get a report, with photos, sometimes a video and a whole run down of her visit. Carissa was funny, caring and my husband and I looked forward to getting our 'Oliver Report' every day while we were gone. Highly recommend!

I am so glad I found Gaithersburg Pet Sitting and highly recommend them! I was very nervous to leave my precious cat (and access to my home) to someone I had just met, but Joe was amazing and provided excellent pet care while leaving my house in great shape. He updated me multiple times (unprompted) while I was away. I would absolutely feel safe leaving my pets with Joe (and GPS) again, and plan to for future trips.
Your search for the best care for your pet has ended with Gaithersburg Pet Sitting! Rosary and Joe solved all my problems I've had with leaving my cat. She's a rescue cat and sensitive to change. I've been told by so many people that cats can be left up to a week by themselves but I couldn't let mine go without being checked on, daily. That's what GPS does. Joe stops by each day that I'm away and washes and refills all the water bowls, refills the food and checks to make sure my cat is okay. I don't worry about my beloved cat when I have to travel for work, vacation and many family events. Rosary and Joe have always been great about accommodating my travel schedule, even with short notice. I trust them 100% in my house without me there. Joe gets my mail and brings in any packages delivered. Plus, the price for all this stellar service is very reasonable.
I found Gaithersburg Pet Sitting through Google reviews when I was looking for a new cat sitter, and I am so glad I found them! Margo has taken care of both my current cats and one who has crossed over the rainbow bridge. We have being using Gaithersburg Pet Sitting since 2005 and have nothing but praise for Rosary and Margo our usual sitter. When we started we did so because we had a very old 3 legged lab Marnie who did not do well being kenneled. She required assistance getting in and out of the house, Margo and Rosary were always more than capable of caring for her. Just before we had to put her down Margo was caring for her as we were out of town and she noticed Marnie was having more difficulty than usual she called and we discussed it. At that time we also had one cat Nemo, who decided to get out of the house on us. Margo helped patrol the neighborhood and talk with neighbors till we found him 2 weeks later. We now have 4 cats 2 of them were born in our house. They all love Margo who came to visit them when they were first born. She is one of the few people who they will all come and greet. We thank Gaithersburg pet sitting for the wonderful care they provide our animals when we are out of town. We never worry about anything, the house is always neat and clean, the mail and newspapers brought in and in the summer plants outside watered. It is a comfort to know that not only are our pets well cared for but the house as well.
We have used GPS (Rosary and Joe) for years now. And we always return home, to two fur babies who have been well fed and loved during our absence. Joe is the cat whisperer. He manages to get our shyest to come out for food and pets. Reliable, communicative, available and affordable. What's not to like! It's everything you and your animals will need, whether it's an overnight getaway or an overseas trip. Simply the best!
I don't leave town without them! GPS has been petsitting for my cats (and the rest of house) for nearly five years now. Short trips (several days), longer trips (several weeks). The care and attention provided have been excellent throughout. They are efficient in taking reservations and have readily been able to accomodate when I've had unexpected schedule changes. I've come to have considerable confidence that my pets and house are well cared for when I am away. Hard to see how the services provided could be better!

Jerry and his wife take immaculate care of our two cats and bunny while we're out of town. They always leave a detailed note about our pets upon returning. Superb service and very affordable. We have a 17 year old cat that is on a lot of meds and does not like strangers much. We were a little nervous trying a new company, but we had run out of options. I knew Margo was going to be a good fit for us when she spent hour with us when she did her introductory visit. She took lots of notes and asked a lot of questions. She does a great job with Gabe. He has warmed up to her enough to sit with her on the couch when we are gone. With his other pet sitters he always seemed a little stressed when we came home, but not with Margo he is a happy, talkative kitty when we walk in the door. I could not be a more enthusiastic supporter of Rosary and Joe who are true animal loves. If I could give them Ten stars I would not hesitate. I have a 150 pound 4 year old Saint Bernard “Bitcy” who loves her walks and belly rubs with “Uncle Joe.” They share a level of Mutual affection that is rare. Dog lovers know that these animals are our babies and the level of trust I have when Bitcy is in their care allows me to live guilt and worry free when I have to travel or go into the office. You will not find a more caring and competent Pet service anywhere.
