Wonderful sit! Joanne is very friendly and was a pleasure to communicate with. Her home is comfortable and spacious. Smokey is an amazingly loving cat who is easy to care for. We very much enjoyed our time in this quiet little neighborhood with easy access to downtown. We would not hesitate to sit Smokey again in the future.

Petra Kai
Petra was most welcoming and helpful, and very friendly. She informed us fully of her requirements (very reasonable!), and went out of her way to arrange her house to our preferences. The location of the house is indeed in the middle of nature, with a lovely sitting room opening on to the back garden via a door in the all glass wall where we spent most of our time. Ziggy was without doubt the most undemanding of our sits so far, very independent with an occasional request (demand?) for petting. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have already agreed to sit for her in July! We'd recommend this sit to anyone.

Marcy
We really enjoyed our time on Vashon Island taking care of Skade. He is a very friendly old guy and warmed to us quickly. It was easy to follow the diet and care routine that Marcy left with Skade’s instructions. We never had a problem with him not eating as was a possibility noted. Rather, Skade often tried to convince us he needed more food and treats. Sorry Skade, rules are rules. Their are a lot of great trails and places to explore on Island. We actually didn’t find any reason to leave the island during our 1 month stay. The house is cozy and bright In a friendly neighborhood. I would recommend following the Vashon Community Facebook pages to stay up to date on island situations.

This Housesit is a unique experience and may not be for everyone. Some items to note: You need a car. The ferry is easy to manage and you only pay the fee one way. You can purchase the ferry tickets using a mobile app which was very easy and convenient. You do need to plan extra time for getting on and off the island as you need to queue for the ferry. Another factor to note: There are other people that may need to come into the house during your sit. They may not let you know ahead of time. Finally, Marcy made sure there were options for us to reach people while she was away. The only way to connect with Marcy directly is through email. She was able to respond to all of our questions in a timely manner.

This was an incredible sit! The dogs are so friendly and loving, it was great to spend time with them. The house (and yard!) is beautiful. Anika is great at setting expectations and communication. I would highly recommend this opportunity to anyone!

Anna
We had a lovely overnight sit at Anna’s lovely home looking after Sophie (Piggy). Anna was charming and we thought we were staying in a hotel suite. There were the basics provided for us to use during our stay and a few well thought through extras as well as a useful list of contact numbers, if needed, guidance on the routine for Sophie and locations of local walks. Sophie was a lovely calm, characterful and friendly dog who loves a fuss. She was no problem and guided us to her walks.

Elisa
Elisa and Anthony's dogs are super sweet! Jerry is older and quieter, and Ruth is very playful and loves your attention. They love walks but they can go outside in their fenced in backyard.

The iui r house is located in a beautiful neighborhood in Minneapolis. Although it's close to a busy road, it's very quiet. You can walk to a creek and feel you are in the woods. Theres also plenty to do around, shops and restaurants are at walking distance. They have a lovely back porch to enjoy warm days!

Elisa was great with communication.

Great house sit!
