Dog Sitters in Montpellier

Gyl was a great cat and house sitter in every respect. With many years living in France, she knew how to organize well her logistics to fit my odd travel schedule and I felt comfortable that she’d be able to handle anything unusual that came up. Chernish warmed to her immediately and she sent daily photos while I was gone showing how well cared for Chernish was. She had no problem giving pills and mastered well the tricky feeder. In addition, Gyl was very good with my plants (better than I?) and the house was perfectly clean, linens/towels/dishes washed, etc when I arrived home. And there was even a wonderful quiche in the fridge for me! Gyl’s a very responsible and interesting person you would be lucky to have as a pet/house sitter!

Sylvie agreed to the sit which was really short noticed. We had a WhatsApp call beforehand, and I had immediately a good feeling with her. We spent a nice evening chatting before I left and showed her around. She loves cats and I could feel her good vibes. She sent me regular notice of how it went. As for the end date, she showed a lot of flexibility and always a smile 😊. I found a happy cat and a clean house on my return. Thanks a lot Sylvie. You are welcome anytime !

Nicolas sat for us during a 3 week trip we made in Nov/Dec 2022. Communication with Nicolas wasn't easy. We were so concerned that he wasn't going to arrive that we made other last minute plans just in case. He did though contact late in the evening before we were due to leave to confirm his arrival. Our advert specifies that we are rural and a car is essential, Nicolas arrive by train and needed to be collected from the station. Having no car isn't ideal but our initial difficulties and concerns were eased as he is a pleasant , likeable chap and seemed in control of the situation. There was very little communication when we were away. Our flight home was delayed. We had previously agreed that we would return home at around 15hr and that we could drive him to the station to catch his train. We messaged that morning and kept messaging with updates. Once we knew our flight was leaving we told him when we would arrive home; but about 6 hours late. We knew his train would leave 2 hours before we arrived home so we said that if he needed to get the last train he should. When we arrived home the house was spotless, albeit very very cold as Nicolas doesn't like heat. Winnie seemed fine but a little anxious and she had pooped in the house which suggests that she had been locked in for a long time as this is totally not like her. Nicolas has still to read our message about our delayed flight so we have no idea when he left our house. To be fair, our cat was totally fine and happy. And our home was immaculate when we returned. We have no complaints about this BUT communication with your sitter is essential and we feel that Nicolas needs to work on these skills, if for no other reason than to ease the concerns of the pet owners. However, thank you Nicolas for taking good care of our cat and our home and we wish you happy travels in the future

Nicky and Roy looked after our pets and home for a week. They were brilliant communicators beforehand and communicated during the sit with updates and pictures as we had requested. They even bought us goodies from their area of France! They opted to stay over at the end of the week as we arrived home late which meant there was more flexibility if we were delayed . They left the house very clean and tidy. They coped well with our excitable and reactive dog and took it in their stride over the week. Nicky and Roy are thoughtful and organised Housesitters and I would highly recommend.

Honestly, no home owner or pet lover could fault Rik and Kay! Over the 10 days they cared for our house in the Alps and especially for our cats Rudy and Shady, our only concern was that our felines would choose to follow them out of the door! We asked Rik to send us regular updates and photos, which he did very diligently, so that we could see how happy Rudy and Shady were, and how affectionate they were were towards their new humans - and vice versa! It really made our holiday relaxing knowing that Rik and Kay were so attentive to our beloved felines; and we knew from our pre-sit evening together that they would be totally autonomous and helpful around the house. As predicted, they left the house in sparking order and went above and beyond - Rik even made lovely homecoming food for us! They were great company and sitters, and we can't wait for them to come again.

This was my first experience with a sitter and difficult to choose from all applicants. Laurianne exceeded my expectations. Not only warm, caring and organized but truly a hands on animal lover. My canines and felines took only an instant to adore her! Heartfelt gratitude and respect for her time here.

Hamish was a very friendly person when we met. All the animals looked well cared for - the only downside was that the house was unclean.

The sit with Melanie went really well! I came back to a happy and relaxed cat :-) the organization and communication was very smooth and she was super accommodating as it was a rather last minute sit. I received updates everyday, so it felt very reassuring. My flat was left tidy and all was perfect! Highly recommend Melanie, thank you for everything! Always welcome at ours 😽

Poala was amazing with our 12 week old dachshunds. We came back to them being super relax and just as obedient ad when we left them with her - they looked like they were very well taken care of. The apartment was also spotless when we came back - you could hardly tell someone else was in it. Would definitely recommend her. In fact, we’re asking her to come back in July! Thank you Poala

Monika and Clara were wonderful! They came early to meet me and the kitties before I left for vacation, and then were super communicative, thoughtful, and reliable the entire time. They really focused on helping my kitties get comfortable, and in fact the cats were happily hanging out with them after a few days. Monika and Clara have cats themselves, so I think they understand what kitties like and need. I was able to relax and enjoy my trip, feeling very comfortable that my home and cats were in good hands. I would have them back anytime! Thank you ladies! :)

We are delighted with our sitters Suzanne and Tom. We had early contact, a meet up before we went away, and then whilst away regular updates on our dog and photos. We felt really happy and safe knowing they were looking after our home and our pet like their own. And we got back to a spotless house and a happy dog, and the plants had all been watered so couldn’t be happier and would definitely have them sit again! Thanks Suzanne and Tom (and Elric)!

Floriane and Estelle were delightful. They left the house better than they found it. And they charmed the cat which is hard to do! We would be happy to have them come again and give them a five star review.
