Christin and Miller were so kind and welcoming! I truly enjoyed meeting them and they made my stay in Paso an amazing experience. The property is very unique and the location can’t be beat. The two cats were very easy to take care of, they spent most of the time outside and really warmed up to me after the first few days. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this sit and I would happily come back to Paso for a sit anytime!
We are joining the ranks of raving fans! Our family had a fantastic and very relaxing Christmas in Gaudonville looking after Bertie and Luna. They are so well behaved, friendly and patient with children. We were made to feel very comfortable in their home, and enjoyed seeing some of the local villages in the region. Thank you Helen and Dave for your generous hospitality!
We really enjoyed staying in Nick's bungalow in Lancing. Chip was a pleasure to look after and we also looked after Griff (Nick's partners dog) who was great too. The location was perfect - just a few minutes walk to the coast to take the dogs for nice walks. We would happily return!
Firstly, Atlas is an incredibly lovable dog, who is absolutely smart and delivers an unbelievable amount of energy despite his age. And here's the point: the Weimaraner breed is bred for hunting, and this instinct is very strongly developed in Atlas. He needs a lot of exercise every day to be satisfied. This doesn't just mean longer walks; it means getting into the bushes, running, sniffing, jumping back and forth. The problem is, it can't be done without a leash. So, you really have your hands full, holding him and managing the very long leash. As a result, I spent a lot of time in the bushes myself. :-D When we got home, some days I had a totally chilled Atlas and on other days an Atlas who would bark and wag his tail at the same time because he wanted to play. I then came up with food games to challenge him cognitively, which he eagerly accepted. But, he couldn't stop and wanted more and more attention. It's a compliment but also challenging because I actually needed to concentrate on work. However, if I ignored his desires, he would bark persistently and loudly. I think if I had stayed longer, it maybe would have improved because we would have been more in tune. But as it was, it was already demanding. At the same time, he is such a social, loving creature that you can't be mad at him despite his behavior. For example, there were never any issues with other dogs - quite the opposite. It’s just the breed: smart and very, very energetic. I think it would be good if, during longer stays, you could go mantrailing with him or use the exercise facility in Cologne from "Hunde-aus-Mallorca". It's a bit of time, but he will be chilled for the rest of the day. So, if you're really keen on being outside a lot, taking Atlas with you, you're in for a great time here. Since I had to work from home, it wasn't so optimal to be honest. Nonetheless, Atlas is great. And Amanda is too. She is super nice, communicates clearly and reliably and totally easygoing. Her apartment is amazing, with a magnificent view over the Rhine, a bright, modern apartment that is still cozy. Thank you for that.
First and foremost Nisse is the most beautiful cat! He is so calm and chilled - he loves being outdoors, even in lots of snow, but also loves to cuddle and he even sat on my knee a couple of times! Dario was easy to communicate with and kind enough to share his family home with our children. The home has everything you need and has the most beautiful view of the the forest. We were lucky enough to have lots of snow but I can imagine how beautiful it would be in other seasons too. Definitely an outdoors area with lots of nature places to explore.
We had the most wonderful time looking after Baxter, Duke, and Gideon! They are all so precious, funny, and loving! Well behaved, too! It was truly a joy! Our hosts Kimberly and Vince were so hospitable and we appreciate that they left us a handwritten welcome note and welcome basket with treats. Communication was very easy and Kimberly was always quick to respond. The home is beautiful and it’s in a lovely newer neighborhood. Highly recommend this house sit!!
