Janese and Roger are wonderful people. They have a beautiful home and very sweet pets. They live in a wonderfully quiet area, right next to the Blue Ridge Parkway, and a short 20-minute drive from Asheville. They wrote up detailed information about the house in addition to doing a thorough walk through of everything needed. Ziou, Saja and Tazo know and like their routine, and are all playful and very sweet. During my stay, Saja liked to spend time outside and loved affection, Tazo was very independent, and Ziou wouldn't leave my side (in a non-disruptive way). I recommend this sit, and will add that there MUST be a few hours of walk through of everything, since they have such a big home!
We had another Amazing sit here in Beautiful San Francisco, this particular sit was with “Pirate” a really sweet doggy who won our hearts over.
Fran and Steven are really nice people who communicate well and are very humble. We Loved their generosity. Their home is situated in a special location full of aviary,local native plants,coyotes,sounds of fog horns…the trails that are right outside their doorstep are amazing…we had some great walks with Pirate, Sarah had some memorable running experiences-ringing back our best memories of running through some of San Francisco’s best spots!!

Pirate loves to hang out close to you, laying his head on your lap for a nap time , playing ball with you, snacking on his favorite treats…he is a true athlete!!

Housesitting for Lori and Allan, and looking after Ghost the handsome cat and Hershey the low-maintenance bunny, in their impeccably beautiful home was an absolute dream stay. I must say, this was my favourite experience organised through the Trusted Housesitters platform to date. Ghost and Hershey are absolute angels; easygoing, very low maintenance, gentle cuties, and a joy to look after. Lori’s sensational home, and the 3 acre jaw-dropping nature-dreamscape which envelops the iconic spot, is one of the most stunning spaces I have ever had the privilege of staying in. I felt like I was on a luxurious retreat in paradise - Lori and Allan’s home is in a fabulous location just a 5 minute drive to the local (very charming) town of Brockville right on the water with everything you would need, and yet their spectacular property had me feeling as though I was miles away, relaxing at a stunning nature retreat. Lori’s home is immaculate, pristinely organised, modern, and luxurious. Communication was flawless, Lori and Allan were most welcoming, and so so lovely. I am insatiably grateful to have gotten the privilege to indulge in staying at Lori and Allan’s remarkable home. I loved reclining in their stylish (and crazy comfortable!) patio furniture across numerous flawlessly-styled outdoor seating areas, while surrounded by the luscious rainforest-like property of theirs. Gazing at the masterpiece exposed-cliff (part of the Frontenac Ridge) right in the backyard truly was a unique and astonishing marvel to behold. Their serene dirt-road ending at the St. Lawrence River, is in itself a remarkable slice with tranquil water views hidden away on each bend of the the quiet cul de sac. The tranquility at Ever After is truly unparalleled. I loved listening to the songs of the birds, watching the wildlife, falling asleep in the exceptionally comfortable bed in the guest bedroom (outstanding mattress and gorgeous linens, I felt like royalty), I adored cooking in the magnificent, spacious kitchen, and relaxing in the most visually stunning and peaceful space - I definitely fell in love with Lori and Allan’s “Ever After” and felt utterly pampered. Countless elements to rave about! I would absolutely jump at the chance to return and housesit / cat-and-bunny-sit for Lori. Thank you for an absolutely idyllic weekend at Ever After, Lori and Allan!
We thoroughly enjoyed sitting for Neely and ‘the girls’. Neely was exceedingly shy at first but after five days she overcame her nervousness and showed her true nature: affectionate, sweet, playful, whilst still independent. She has a cat-flap and spent a fair amount of time exploring the gardens and local countryside, but came home several times a day for food and fuss, and she slept indoors every night. The girls - four rescue hens - were such fun to look after. They have a good-sized run but really enjoy being free-range in the garden, where they dig and scratch around or just sunbathe. They laid delicious eggs for us, which were heartily enjoyed on toast most mornings. The house is attractive, spacious, with many period features having been retained and restored during recent refurbishments. Our bedroom was newly decorated and very comfortable. In its elevated position, all the main rooms have breathtaking views over the local landscape. Similarly, beautiful views can be enjoyed from the interesting, terraced garden. Gareth and Adam were warm, considerate, and went out of their way to ensure we had a good stay. Communications were always easy, timely and clear. Overall, we had a fabulous time sitting for Neely and the girls and would happily return should the opportunity arise.
SUMMARY Loved this sit and loved Gracie and Suzanne! Once we meet Andy, I'm sure we will love him too! Read more... THE HOMEOWNERS Suzanne is very organized and helpful. She's with you every step of the way including phone calls, text messages and even a nice helpful binder at the home. All questions are answered and instructions left. It's also nice to know that the neighbors were aware that we were staying there and ready and willing to be helpful if anything was needed. THE PET(S) Gracie! Gracie the cat (aged 11 but seems so youthful and sprightly) is soo cute! She's friendly and likes to be the center of attention and loves her pettings. She even went upstairs and cuddled with us in bed! She's a little skittish with loud noises, poor thing. She's pretty easy to care for, very chill, and was a joy to take care of. We cleaned the litter each day and gave her wet food, and lots of love and attention. Until next time sweet Gracie! THE HOME The upstairs suite where housesitters stay, is equipped with everything you need including microwave, coffee maker, mini fridge, dining table, loveseat and TV with Roku, etc. The queen sized bed was very very firm (which we actually found to be a nice change). There is no ceiling fan but there is a tower fan. The room is carpeted, and has a large window, a desk to use, a larger dresser, and a bed stand dresser. The bedroom closet is spacious and empty with plenty of coat hangers and extra blankets. There is a full bathroom right next to the bedroom. The thermostat is right next to the bathroom door. It was so cozy like a very nice bed and breakfast! THE PROPERTY In the hill country, the house is located on walking trails which is awesome! Tennis and horseshoes and bocce ball are also available. My husband enjoyed writing his electric scooter 🛵 around the nice smooth streets. Beautiful evening drive throughout the neighborhood! LOCATION LOCATION When traffic is average it takes about 6 minutes (2 miles) to get to H-E-B & CVS. A little further to Target, Ross, In-N-Out Burger and many other restaurants and shops.
Penelope's home is very spacious, warm and comfortable. Her home is in the countryside however facilities are a short drive away. Communications and changeovers were hassle-free. The highlight of Penelope's house-sit were her lovely dogs and cat (the dogs' best friend). They were an absolute delight! The livestock were easy care. We highly recommend Penelope's place to fellow house-sitters.
