Rose and Bruce were incredible house and dog sitters! Rose communicated perfectly and was truly on top of things! There was a big wind and cold storm and they made sure that our home was well looked after inside and out! The dogs were so loved and i'm quite sure are sad that Rose and Bruce had to go home, they received so much attention and care! We would absolutely love to have Rose and Bruce back in the future should they ever want to stay again!
Cookie the beagle and Woody the cat are just the loveliest pets to care for. Cookie loved her walks (on the lead as we'd have lost her if she smelled a rabbit!) and cuddling up on the sofa. We could walk out from the house straight into countryside, but we also took her out in the car if we went to the Peak District. Woody is a sweetie and slept on our laps in the evening. The house does have a lot of stairs, as it's on four floors, but the living areas are on two. There's a large garden which is great for eating outside if the weather's good. The A57 road at the bottom of the garden is a bit noisy, but it wasn't a problem for us. We would happily sit there again.
In short, this is a 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 house sit and we feel blessed to have had this opportunity! Michael's villa is very beautiful and comfortable in every detail, the location and the views are breathtaking, the mornings start with the sunrise over the Mediterranean, wish I could share one of the many pictures I took. Gouri and Aki are the sweetest boys, fun and easy to take care of and deserve real cat lovers! Gouri took every opportunity to sit on our laps and Aki is a good hunter, so be prepared for presents. He is equally asking for cuddles but is not necessarily a lap cat but would often wrap himself around our legs and ask for cuddles. There are really nice and easy walks down to the long beach, about 15 to 20 min one way and there is lot's to see in the area, like Koroni and the Polylimnio Waterfalls, why we would highly recommend a car. In the evenings we would sometimes hear the jackals and in the mornings sometimes see footprints of wild boar in the garden, luckily never was anything damaged. There are no direct neighbors and if you enjoy solitude and quietness this is the jackpot! Still, the little village is only a 10min walk away. Last but not least, Michael is an amazing host, very kind, open minded, interesting and generous. He invited us to stay on after our sit and we spend a wonderful week together. Thank you for everything Michael and see you soon! 😇
I had a lovely time at Carol’s and a great sit with Bobbie and Touca! They are such loving and energetic dogs, it was wonderful to spend time with them in Carol’s beautiful home. Thank you for a great week!
This was only a short sit, but I had a really lovely time looking after the delightful Miss Moneypenny, who became gratifyingly affectionate towards me quite soon after I arrived. I didn’t actually meet Leisa, but we had a couple of video calls before the sit, when she gave me clear instructions about finding the key as well as essential information about Moneypenny’s attitude to eating (which might otherwise have been a bit challenging). Everything went very smoothly – the house is exceptionally convenient for travel by train or bus – and I was very comfortable there. (The fact that there’s no television didn’t bother me.) I already know North Berwick quite well, and I greatly enjoyed reaquainting myself with the area – the wonderful weather was a bonus! I very much hope I can return and care for the beautiful and friendly Miss M. on a future occasion.
Christin and Ruben were super easy to work with. Their apartment was immaculate and Pina was so easy to care for. We even enjoyed sitting on the balcony reading a book while Pina got some sun. It was wonderful! The location was also ideal with lots of nearby local gems
I would definitely recommend this sit! When we arrived for this sit we were given a thorough walk through of the house and extensive overview of the pets. Wali and Auttie were having some recent health related issues so I was happy to hear all the special instructions. Marilee had it all printed up for me as well. Auttie and Milo are really good dogs. Auttie has food aggression but as long as you do what Marilee suggests, it all goes well! Auttie loves all the snuggles that you have to give and Milo loves to chase the ball and sneak in some snuggle time of his own when Auttie isn’t looking. They both love their walks, snack time, and sitting out back with you in the evenings. Wali, the cat, is very independent but also enjoyed sitting outside with us in the evenings. Marilee and Lindy were so kind and generous to us. They have a great cabin in Idaho. It was extremely clean! All the comforts of home plus great outdoor space including a covered front porch with rockers and a shaded back porch with a hot tub. Also there are some beautiful walks just outside the front door. Marilee and Lindy were also quick to reply to my texts which I appreciate immensely. When the sit ended, they expressed extreme gratitude for our sit which is always nice to hear. Thank you very much!!
