Having Stephanie as your pet and house sitter is a dream-come-true! After our unsuccessful attempts with about a dozen sitters regarding sitting over the holidays, Stephanie was the only one who was able to accommodate us, and even adjusted her own schedule to be able to come and take care of our Tiggy over the New Year's! All along, the communication with Stephanie was swift, friendly, honest, and incredibly enjoyable, as we started to get to know each other through our correspondence; Stephanie understood the meaning behind the urgency and importance of finding the right sitter, as she herself was leaving her two cats behind in the care of her family just prior to, and into the New Year. She took over from our friend who had looked after Tiggy for four days upon our departure. Our friend sent us the photos of Stephanie's very first encounter with Tiggy, and we could tell from his happy face being cuddled by Stephanie that there was an INSTANT bond between them (which had never happened before, as Tiggy had always been a little suspicious of other people!). We named Stephanie a true cat whisperer! When we talked on the video, the day of Stephanie's arrival, Tiggy was crawling all over her, purring and cuddling (which is rather rare, even with us!). He surely must have felt her incredible warmth and love of furry creatures! Meeting Stephanie in person upon our return confirmed everything we had already known about her: that she took perfect care of Tiggy, along with our pond fish, our plants and the entire house! While we were away, she regularly updated us on Tiggy's goings-on and their cuddling sessions with endearing photos, showing us what a great time they had together. She even brought two toys for Tiggy, and gifts for us, too! The valerian pouch from Stephanie is the only one he loves! Stephanie radiates kindness, friendliness, generosity and warmth. She impressed us not only with her dedication to animal welfare, but with her knowledge and experience on the subject, as she is involved in a local shelter and animal rescue, helping on so many levels. Having Stephanie as your pet sitter means you will have the best possible sitter you could find! She is also easy-going, appreciative of everything, has a great sense of humor, and impeccable English. We are so grateful you responded to our ad, Stephanie! Thank you for being such a reliable, trusted and loving sitter! And a new friend! We will keep in touch and hope to have you and Tiggy reunited again soon! But before that, we are looking forward to having you and your husband visit us in Istria in May! :-))
