I stayed in Jonathan and Lowri's house over Christmas. What a great experience it was from the word go! Jonathan and Lowri were very organised, we had communicated really well prior to me coming to look after their dog Enzo. They couldn't have been more welcoming when I arrived, they greeted me like an old friend. They explained to me in minute detail how to care for Enzo and even left me a map of the area and outlined some walks for me to take Enzo on. I felt I was really well equipped for the pet sit. Jonathan and Lowri made their cute cottage very cosy and warm and nicely set up for Christmas. Their dog is such a good companion and very well trained. He is also very laid back and no trouble at all. Enzo likes going for walks and even though he is 10 years old, he is full of energy. He'll run after a ball or a stick (which he finds on the way) non-stop if you let him. However, his breaking skills aren't so good and he is likely to graze his pads if chasing on a hard ground, and so it's best to let him chase on the grass. Enzo likes people and will follow you around the house and when you're in the kitchen, he'll keep an eye on you from his bed. He was very well behaved all throughout my stay and it was hard for me to say goodbye to him before I left, especially that he even ignored his favourite snack, which I gave him to distract him, and was standing in the hallway just looking at me. This was a definite 5-star sit and I hope I can come and look after Enzo again in the future. Thank you Jonathan and Lowri for inviting me to pet sit for you. Best wishes, Eva x
Such a great spot! Cozy, clean, close to the beach, walking trails, great restaurants, and full of Ed & Susan's love. They made sure I was comfortable during my stay and I felt incredibly safe in this home/location. Their fur babies are an epic team. 5 kitties all with a mix of character. It was an easy set up as the cats have the basement level to themselves, so mostly all feeding, watering and litter boxes were contained in one place. Looking forward to sitting again in March!
Benti was an elderly cat and sadly I never got to meet her as she passed away a short while prior to the sit date. Bronte kindly asked me to house sit instead. I was made very comfortable in this spacious detached home in a quiet location in Maylands. The kitchen was well equipped and i had the use of a washing machine and drier which was much appreciated. The house was a 5 min walk from the river and I enjoyed a stroll most evenings along the riverbank or in in the adjacent reserve where there was a nice breeze. The supermarkets were not so handy and really too far to walk carrying shopping but Coles provided an excellent delivery service for just $2 if you were OK with an evening slot. Local no 42 bus ran into the city but ideally you need a car to get the most out of this stay. I would love to stay here again next summer when I hope to visit Western Australia again.
We had a wonderful sit at Nathalie & Mike's beautiful home. Cocoa is such a sweet and loveable dog, a pleasure to care for. We went out on daily snowshoe adventures and she loved rolling in the snow and sniffing out the local wildlife. After an action-packed day, she was happy to curl up at our feet and was generous with her kisses and snuggles. Nathalie and Mike were also generous with their hospitality and went out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Their house is beautiful, warm, and inviting with all the amenities (and more) that we could possibly need. Communication was great and we enjoyed getting to know them more before and after our sit. We would happily come back any time to hang out with Cocoa and enjoy all the beautiful surrounding nature with her.
Risa has a well equipped house in a location convenient to get to attractions. The deck out back is a great place to sit with a steaming cup of tea or coffee. Palamona is a joy to sit for. She was right there and vocal when I walked in the door like "where have you been? Just give me my wet food already!" When I read that she sounds like a pigeon when she purrs I thought, "yeah, right, cats sound like birds all the time" LOL But it's true! Not always when she purrs, but often. For a senior cat, she got up and down the stairs faster than I did. I "justified" that with the fact that she has 4 legs and I only have 2. She's adorable and slept next to me in her electric blanket warmed kitty bed. She's lucky I wanted to continue to house sit because if not, I would have packed her up and taken her home with me. Great cat, great house, great sit!
Looking after David and Kalina’s animal family at their beautiful home was an absolute pleasure. Skye and Newton are big softies who love cuddles and attention, and PJ, Oreo, Roxy and Caramel are so sweet and full of personality. David and Kalina were incredibly kind, welcoming and helpful, and were always available if we had any questions, even though they were on holiday themselves. Their home is beautiful and felt like a great getaway. It’s well located for amenities but a car is essential. The pool and patio area is so peaceful with a beautiful view - we miss everything about our stay very much. Thanks so much for having us David and Kalina. If the opportunity arose we would look after the home and animals again in a heartbeat!
