I can’t recommend Green Acres Pet Resort enough! This is truly a one of a kind place. They not only provide a wonderful daycare and boarding experience for both you and your pet, they take the time and effort to learn each individual dog’s personality! On Oliver’s first day they introduced him slowly to their daycare group and gave a lovely report back. He has been going every single day for the last 3 months and they even notice if he gets a bit overwhelmed. Due to their knowledge and training they are able to give him some space when he needs it away from friends and give him individual attention! They treat him as their own! I mean his smile proves it! Shout out to Laura, Lauren, Brandon, Danielle, Katie, and the entire Green Acres Family! Keep spreading the love, smiles, and laughter that comes with caring for our beloved pets!
Our dog, Murphy, seemed to have a great time at Green Acres. I toured the facility beforehand and explained my concerns to Kade about Murphy's anxiety issues, recently starting medication, and other relevant history like triggers to his reactivity. I felt listened to - I get the feeling that more info regarding your dog is welcomed here, which isn't always the case at daycare facilities. Overall, my concerns were alleviated. Murphy started his day with a 1-on-1 with a staff member and eventually worked up to playing with another dog with a similar disposition. The report card was a nice touch and put me at ease knowing what all went on throughout the day (I greatly encourage Green Acres to keep up this transparency). Lastly, Murphy acted like himself and seemed relaxed after I brought him home, which wasn't always the case at other facilities we've tried - we think the large group play elsewhere was stressing him out. This was great to see. The facility is clean, staff is nice and seems knowledgeable, and I felt Murphy was well cared for. It was nice to find a facility that has options for reactive dogs that need 1-on-1 or small group play only. I understand others' concerns regarding not being able to bring toys/blankets for boarding and food not being returned, but at least for our dog, the pros greatly outweigh the cons. We'll see if boarding goes as well as the first daycare day did, but I think it will. Edit: Murphy has been boarded and attended daycare several times since this review. The staff takes great care of him and I'm thrilled he's had opportunities for small group play when conditions are right.
I have a couple of huskies who are total menaces. Green Acres Pet Resort took great care of them though! I loved that both my social boy and my not-so-social boy had options to get loved on by the staff each day. They were both happy and healthy when we got them home after being away for a week, and we'll definietly be boarding them with Green Acres again!
Today was Chloe’s first time at green acres the staff were all wonderful.I had no anxiety at all about leaving my baby girl there in fact I have already booked another day. I am so happy to have a safe and caring place for Chloe Looks like she had a good time and now it’s nap time
My dogs Chuck and Linda could NOT have had a better experience with Green Acres! Being a veterinary industry pet-mom, I can sometimes be a little leary of what I would expect from a kennel catering to veterinary professionals - but I was surprised so comfortable I felt with the entire staff! The woman we initially checked in with was super informative and sweet to both me and my dogs. When they took them back to the boarding area, they didn't even look back at me!! I have never had that level of comfort when dropping my babies off for boarding. The facility is also good smelling and clean. I will never board my dogs anywhere else!
We had a fantastic experience with this Green Acres Pet Resort. The staff was incredibly friendly, booking was a breeze, and my dog was well taken care of. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a reliable and welcoming place for their pets!
I would highly recommend Green Acres! Our dog is a rescue, and this was her first time boarding somewhere. I was nervous she’d have a hard time, especially because she is sometimes scared of new people. When I went to pick her up, they led her out, she saw me, and instead of running immediately to me, she ran to the front desk worker to give her a kiss goodbye. She seemed completely comfortable and happy around the staff, which was a huge relief. We’ll be using them again anytime we need to board!
It was the first time Paul stayed at Green Acres and when I dropped him off, Kade at the front desk gave me great information calming at nerves I had for him being new. I emailed to check in how he was and they responded very shortly after. Upon pick up, the employee who brought him up front said he greeted her everyday with a wagging tail and was super friendly and happy - she told us he has to come back. Very happy with Green Acres, Paul will definitely stay with them again when we need it! Currently all tuckered out at home.
My experience with Green Acres has been good-everyone is friendly and helpful-there have been a few occasions where I felt the employees went above and beyond to make my dog feel more comfortable during his stay-I especially enjoyed hearing that one of the employees sings to my dog. A thank you to everyone at Green Acres-I wish all of you many wonderful days.
We boarded our bullmastiff Ruga at Green Acres for a week while we were on vacation. I can't say enough good things about this place! Ruga is mostly blind, has daily medications, and reluctantly needs eyedrops three times a day. She's also on a special diet. She had symptoms of a UTI during her stay and the staff were kind enough to drive her to our regular vet on the west side of Madison. As you can see, even though she wasn't feeling well, I think she had a lot of fun during her stay. The way they honor CVTs is so wonderful. It feels very good for the important work my husband does to be recognized. Thank you, thank you, thank you for a great experience! We have never boarded a pet before and we were so nervous.
I’m leaving a positive review about the staff there. So friendly, so kind and always so helpful. It’s clearly a well-run operation. My dog also asked me to leave a positive review. I mean he can’t speak, so I guess I’m Interpreting his request through his actions. When I arrive to Paradise Paws, my dog practically jumps out of my arms and runs across the room to the door that leads him to the other dogs. At home, he just lays around and does nothing but at Paradise Paws, he is the leader of a little dog gang of 4 dogs. You can just tell that he thinks he’s in charge.
The 1 star is because the staff was very friendly. We took our golden retriever here for a groom and it was very disappointing. The first thing that I was asked was “How much do you want cut off?”. Her tail, ears, back, neck, chest should all be different lengths. Her paws were still green from grass stains and there was even a seed from a bush she got into a few days before. It looks like they bathed her and clipped a couple sections of her hair. I had to ask for her ears to get trimmed at pick-up because there were still knots. The photos show what it it ended up as. (This is AFTER I asked them to fix her ears). The back of her legs aren’t shaped, her ears were not cleaned, her butt fluff isn’t shaped, her tail isn’t shaped, there are obvious “snips” around her entire body. It looks like she wasn’t brushed. Even her tummy isn’t shaped. I wish I could leave a review purely on the staff’s friendliness because the overall groom for $72 deserves 0 stars. We could’ve done it ourselves. Maybe it’s just goldens but if you have one I would HIGHLY advise you do not go here.
Paradise paws always makes my timid doxie feel safe. Karen is always so informative and helpful in her feedback regarding my dog's stay. It is the only place we feel safe leaving him at.
Fantastic. My 16 year old was cared for with so much love. They really understand the needs of senior dogs and made sure Roxie was comfortable during her 5 day stay. This is my go to place from now on for my senior girl, and for any future pup I may have. I was amazed at the detailed check in, the before check in call the day before. They are the boss! Super organized. 10 stars.
We are glad we can bring Betty Boots to Paradise Paws because everytime we come she is happy, excited, and ready to play. The staff is friendly and able to answer my questions (or can find out who can answer my questions). Betty loves getting to go and loves getting all the love and snuggles. Everyone seems to know her by name there. Thanks for taking such good care of her when we are out of town or just need a little break!
Absolutely love Paradise Paws! They treat our dog like family! Tessa loves going to daycare … she is so excited to announce her arrival to daycare the entire drive to Paws! 😃🥰 …
Boarding my dog at Paradise Paws in DeForest, WI, was a fantastic experience! It’s a family-owned gem where the care for pets shines through. The daily photos posted to Facebook were a highlight, ensuring peace of mind seeing my dog happy and well taken care of. The place is clean, welcoming, and clearly run with love and passion for animals. Highly recommend Paws Paradise for anyone wanting top-notch care for their pet from a great local family.
I have been taking Kota to Paradise Paws for over a year now. Kota gets so excited she cries the entire drive... She gets so worn out she sleeps till morning lol I always look forward to the pictures they post of our fur babies. Karen and her staff are all wonderful! I love the amenities they offer, I am able to have her groomed and ready to go by the time I pick her up after work. I couldn't imagine taking Kota anywhere else :)
We have had our Afghan Hounds groomed here and are very satisfied. Our dogs look much better and are happy. The groomer is very careful - no nicks or skin irritations.
I cannot say enough good things about Paradise Paws. This is the only place I will take my little girl. Karen and her staff are amazing! The philosophy is like no other. Thinking too many of us know what a wonderful facility this is as spots fill quickly and sometimes it’s hard to get in. This just shows the high level of care your pet is getting. I’ve recommended to many of my friends and everyone has thanked me and now are loyal customers as well. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful place in our area. Thank you Paradise Paws!
If you're looking for a doggy daycare or place to board your dog while you go on vacation, please look no further. My wife and I have been taking our dogs to Lucky Dog for 5 years now for daycare and have used them many times for boarding. So I think it's fair to say this review is overdue. Lucky Dog is like family to our dogs and they have played an integral part in both our dog's lives and contributed very much to their overall happiness. The owner Greg, his operations manager Megan, and the rest of the staff there have been fantastic to work with. They've always had great communication and all really genuinely seem to love working with dogs. We have two labs and we would send them once a week to Lucky Dog and without fault they would come back tired out every time and that definitely helped with their demeanor for the rest of the week. Also I honestly can hardly think of many times I've seen my dogs more excited than when I drop them off at Lucky Dog; they practically drag me through the doors with their excitement. That being said I still make a point to have my dogs show restraint at the doors and the staff and Lucky Dog is great about echoing that training before letting them into the play area. Speaking of the play area there, it's pretty awesome. There's plenty for the dogs to do, and there's adequate staff walking around, interacting, playing, and monitoring the dogs throughout the day. Also if your dog loves water like mine does, they have a pool in the warmer months that the dogs can cool off in. Our youngest dog without a doubt spends most of her day in the pool, because when I pick her up in the summer she's almost always still wet. But that's the other great part about Lucky Dog. They have towels and baths that you can take advantage of to wash your dog up at the end of the day for free. And if you don't have time to wash your dog you can pay for that service and many other wonderful services and treats that you can pamper your dogs with. In regards to prices, packages, scheduling, check-ins, etc. - everything has always been very straightforward and easy. I also applaud Lucky Dog for how easy they adapted everything with COVID. I really can't say a single negative thing about any of our experiences in our tenure at Lucky Dog. We only go once a week, but the staff there still knows just who my dog is when I come to pick her up. Also our oldest dog has slowed down and no longer needs the daycare services there but Lucky Dog still asks about her and sends a treat home for her on her birthday. As for our younger pup, she absolutely adores it there as well, and you can see the child like "aww bummer" in her face when it's time to go home. Also it would be nice when we travel if we could always take our dogs with us, but when we can't we at least can rest easy when we board them at Lucky Dog. In short, if you're like us, your dogs are like family, and at Lucky Dog you can have confidence whether it be for daycare or boarding that your pups are in good hands. They are without a doubt the best doggy daycare in the area. I would highly recommend them.
Everyone at Lucky Dog loves dogs and my two dogs love going to daycare here! The staff is interactive with the dogs all day while they play. I have Newfies and the summer pool is big enough for the boys to swim, and configured for smaller dogs to get in/ out of it. If the weather is really cold, they set up an indoor play area. They have many services available and boarding is daycare with a "sleepover".
100 stars!! We have been sending our dog to Lucky Dog for a little over 2 years now, it is her favorite place to be! Drop off= running in ready to play. Pick up= ready to take a big nap. Greg and the employees are always kind and welcoming. Specifically, they are also very observant and attentive of the dogs personalities- my dog went through a short phase of acting unlike herself and during that time they made sure to communicate that to me. My mind is always at peace going to work, knowing she is somewhere with people who care for her and she can be socialized & get exercise.
Our 3 pups LOVE to go see everyone at LuckyDog! The owner and staff are amazing and engaged with the dogs. One of our three dogs does not warm up to people quickly at all, but the second she walks in the door, she is all wags and excited to see Greg or Megan and play. I love that there is someone on site overnight. The girls can get baths and nails trimmed while at daycare or when boarding. It’s a really great feature to have with busy schedules these days. Best of all, both daycare and boarding offer rates for 3 dog families such as ours. It makes things much more affordable for our girls to come and play more often. And boy do they love to play when they’re at Lucky Dog! It’s comforting to know they’re in good hands and that they enjoy being there when we can’t be home with them. We won’t go anywhere else. With one of our dogs being 12 years old, meds are a fact of life. Lucky Dog has no issues with what can be some complicated applications at times. We know our girls are loved and happy as can be when they’re there. Thanks LuckyDog!! 🐾🐾🐾
Best most attentive and kind staff. We appreciate Luckydog so much. Our old lady dog can be a challenge at times but at lucky dog she is as relaxed as when she is at home. Once she gets to know any new staff she loves them almost as much as she loves Greg and Megan. Their new boarding space is top of the line and our girl is relaxed and happy after staying. We have even taken our frinds dog there when we dog sit. We will happily take any future dogs we have there as well. Thanks Lucky Dog!
We have been taking our dog, Kirby, to Lucky Dog for day care once a week since she was 4 months old (she is two and a half now). I don't know how she does it, but she knows which day she will be going and is excited and pesters us until we get in the car. When she gets home, she is exhausted and it is obvious she spent the whole day playing. The staff is AMAZING! They care so much about the dogs and create a fun and safe environment. They quickly greet her and she is just as excited to see them as they are to see her. One morning, when I was dropping her off, she started wiggling and whining while in the car. I couldn't figure out what was going on, until I noticed one of the workers exiting her car. Kirby was so excited to see her, she couldn't control herself. That was the best thing to see as a pet owner. I know she loves the people who she spends her day with! We also use Lucky Dog for boarding when we have to leave for the weekend. It is comforting to know someone is on site overnight and that the dogs get to be outside as much as they do for daycare. I have recommended Lucky Dog to all of my friends and get rave reviews from them too!
I love Lucky Dog. We have two dogs, a geriatric hound named Bob and a two-year-old lab mix named Snack who has nearly perpetual energy. We do daycare and also use them for boarding. They have a very personal touch which I appreciate because my dogs are so important to me. Whenever we drop them off, sometimes there are employees I have never even seen before but they always know my dogs!! Our first experience with them was when we experienced a family emergency last year. I called them at 7am, and although they were understandably reluctant to take a dog in last-minute who they had never met, they let me have the vet records faxed over and I dropped the puppy off an hour later. They checked in mid-day and told me he was doing great and there were no problems. We had to leave him there for several days and I was worried he would feel abandoned but he absolutely thrived. I can tell he feels connected to "his" humans there. Lucky Dog is a little more expensive than other daycares I have seen (including one we use as a back-up if Lucky Dog is full), but it is worth it. My dogs practically lose their minds when we pull up, and both of them are unconscious within minutes of getting home.
We have been taking our dog to Lucky Dog since she was a puppy and she is now going on 7 years old. She is a Rhodesian Ridgeback, a breed known for high energy and being a little picky about who they warm up to. But she clearly considers Lucky Dog her second home and the owner, Greg, and staff, her second family. They used to be located much closer to where we live, but moved to Sun Prairie more than 5 years ago. We tried several other daycare settings, because Sun Prairie is in the opposite direction of our daily commute and adds nearly half an hour to the trip. But after trying the others, we returned to Lucky Dog and are happy we did. One of the nicest things about Lucky Dog is that they offer boarding in addition to daycare. When we go out of town, we can leave our dog there and know that she is not only well cared for, but feels right at home. Addendum: Re: John's one-star "review". I would have written the same review just for the asking. My dog got nipped accidentally while playing and I got called immediately to ask what I wanted done. Don't know what John is talking about in his "review". Always well staffed, always friendly and helpful. And I didn't get anything to say this.
We love Lucky Dog Daycare! We were long time patrons of Lucky Dog Daycare. We started using Lucky Dog when we adopted our first "boy". He attended Lucky Dog's for 10 years. Our second "boy" attended Luck Dog's for about 3 years. The counselors and staff are great! They truly care about their patrons and provide exceptional hands on attention. We know they went above and beyond what we were hoping for when caring for our boys. Bear required special attention as he aged, and always received outstanding care and attention. The boys loved the walks, baths, treats, and one on one attention they received. Always worn out after a day at Lucky Dog Daycare, our boys were happy, healthy, and well adjusted due to the extra play and social interactions they received instead of being cooped up at home all day. Once we moved, Lucky Dog Daycare helped make sure the boys were well stocked with treats. As Bear declined, their treats were one of the only foods he would eat. We will never forget the wonderful loving and caring service they provided for our boys. Thank you for all you do!
We've been sending our dog to Lucky Dog for almost a year and I can't imagine life without them! The staff are so friendly and truly care about (and know the quirks of) Obie. Greg, the owner, is so friendly, accommodating, understands the psychology of dogs, and is so dedicated to each dog (and owner) that comes through his doors. Obie has a blast every time he goes, comes home exhausted and well taken care of - you can tell because his tail wags and he cries from excitement every time we pull in to the parking lot. I plan on taking Obie (and any future pups) to Lucky Dog forever - best doggy daycare in town!
Green-Dog is a wonderfully responsive service with friendly and reliable dog-walkers. Our dog loves his walkers and it gives us peace of mind that he is cared for. We even get great pics of our dog and cat! Fantastic and would absolutely recommend 100%!
Mamita and I love Green Dog. I contacted Angela about a year ago after I moved to a new neighborhood. The dog walkers have been reliable, flexible and enthusiastic. Mamita is always eager to head off on an adventure with them. I was able to schedule extra last winter when the ice and snow made getting out more difficult for me. Easy scheduling, communication and billing processes.
Angela (who runs Green Dog, LLC) is amazing! She’s been babysitting my cat for nearly a year now, and we love her. First off, Angela is always available, especially at short notice. I’m often going on last minute trips or have to adjust due to airport delays, and she is willing to be flexible. Also, while I’m away, she sends photos of my cat from her visits to keep me updated. I would highly recommend getting to know Angela and letting your pet forge a relationship with her while you’re away. She’s our lifesaver!
Our dogs, Ollie and Lola, love their walks with Green Dog! We always get happy pictures of the walks, and Green Dog has been so reliable and easy to communicate with. 5 barks for Green Dog :)
I absolutely LOVE my dog walkers. The owner Angela meets with you to learn more about your needs, finalize schedules ( though they adapt to your needs as they change), and introduce you to your walker(s). They are all amazing with my dog, giving him love and always giving me a heads up if they notice things amiss (they caught an early ear infection!). I especially love that for every walk I get a text update, often with a picture, of how the visit went. The price is extremely competitive. It was better value than almost all the other companies I compared. So glad and thankful I chose Green Dogs for my dog Boots. We could not be happier!
On behalf of my beloved pals, they can't stop yapping about how much they love Green Dog! Oh those walks! Those heart to heart talks! They enjoy the praise, and relish the affection. And we feel confident and peaceful knowing our good chums are in such wonderful care. Green Dog is our go-to service for the best pet care.
I have known Angela for many years, and she is wonderful, as is her team! She has taken care of all of my fur babies, always with love, compassion, and reliability. She has done overnights, walks at different times of the day, dog park outings if requested.. she is the best! I know I never have to worry when she’s taking care of my sweeties, and now my daughters are having her help with their dogs! I recently ran into her at a dog park with three dogs she was walking, and they were all being kept safe, and having a great time! I highly recommend Angela and her team!
Green dog does a wonderful job walking my dog whenever needed. They are flexible, friendly and work with each dog’s individual needs. They have enough staff to provide walks on short notice and provide other services. I have left my dog with them while going out of town several times and they are constantly sending pictures and updates. I highly recommend their services!
We’ve used Green Dog’s services twice now when we traveled out of town. Angela and her team took great care of my two pups, assisting with medications, and sending us daily updates from their walks. If we were not moving out of town, we would continue to use Green Dog. Highly recommend!!
Angela and her walkers are wonderful! They are consistently on time, reliable, and most importantly flexible when life comes up. They go above and beyond with communication, timeliness of invoices, and making sure our dog gets the exercises he needs (and gets better trained in the process). They also offer pet sitting services and we’re really excited to have them help have our dog join us for photos on our wedding day :) Angela and Green Dog, LLC are exactly what we were looking for and we can’t recommend them enough. And here’s some great photos they’ve take of him:
Absolutely love Happy Dog Boarding! We have crazy schedules & Amy is wonderful to work with. She & her husband always take very good care of our dog. He is happy every time he goes there! Warm & caring people! Love the pictures that are sent while our dog is in their care.
Five stars - 10/10 - 100% recommend Happy Dog Boarding and Daycare. I’m so happy to have found Amy! My boy Hank absolutely loves her and her husband, Jesse! Hank is always excited to be at their house and I always feel at ease leaving him in their care. They truly love him as if he was their own. When Hank is at Happy Dog he goes on walks, chases squirrels around the fenced in yard, gets lots of playtime (sometimes with other doggies friends) and plenty of snuggles and kisses. He’s a Happy Dog 😊
We have had the good fortune of having Amy and Jesse watch our dog for 7 years. He has stayed with them for up to 3 weeks at a time. They have watched him when he has had special needs from being injured or needing a special diet, and they have always given him good care. They are great about sending us photos and updates and we have recommended them to other friends. We like that he is in good company with other dogs and that he isn’t overwhelmed with larger dogs like at the dog park. He has always been very excited to go there. We (including Freckals) truly feel like it’s his home away from home.
I have been taking my dog Stella to Amy for years, Stella absolutely adores Amy! Stella is getting older now and the number of people I trust with her care has dwindled to 1. It's Amy. If you need somewhere to leave your fur baby for a week or just just for a day, Amy is your girl! 100%.
Amy shows phenomenal care for my pup every time he's there. He's always happier arriving at daycare than leaving.
