Ivan was a wonderful sitter! I would recommend him to anyone and would love to have him sit for us again. He even met us before our trip so we could get to know him and show him around. He made sure that we we knew our bunnies were loved and cared for by sending updates (I love updates when I am away! It helps me worry less) and he clarified any details with us to make sure our pets were cared for just the same as if we were there. He kept our place as clean as we left it and was easy to communicate with and always very kind. Thank you so much Ivan!🐰🐰
We were pleased to arrange to meet up prior to our sit. We briefly walked Chase, Seeker and Drift as it was very hot, but that did not deter the trio from charging through the hedges. It was good seeing their different characters out on a walk with Sara. On our THS, Wilbur was a last-minute addition to the animal family. However, Wilbur is eager to please and is responsive (always the first to sit), even though he is just settling in to his new animal family’s routines and commands. All 4 were fun taking out on walks, straight from the door in peaceful countryside. They were keen to greet other dogs and humans, but they were very good at recall commands without the need for treats. They were particularly ‘waggy tailed’ to meet their favourite buddies, a neighbour’s 2 black labs. On walks: We walked all 4 dogs first thing in the morning. Then, a short walk at night- on one occasion a barn owl circled us. -Chase, the older boy, was keen to charge around but always kept an eye out for us. -Seeker needed some gentle encouragement to not want to return home at the start of the walk, but had the fastest wagging tail once past the first field. -Drift and Wilbur love their walks. We took them out for an extra walk together, late afternoon, as they would excitedly spend all day running around in hedges and fields, if they could. Both Seeker and Wilbur enjoy their trick of finding, and carrying around or hiding ‘treasure’. I.e. clothes, blankets, shoes, even leads. The tropical fish were easy to care for. It was fabulous to see the numerous fry in the tank. A very relaxing stay, in a beautiful home, garden and pool. It was delightful to meet all the family, as well as be invited back for a 2nd sit in a week’s time.
This was simply a terrific one-month housesit in the quaint and lovely town of Gerrards Cross. I went out to meet Cerys, Mark and Simba prior to the sit and they were warm and welcoming from the get-go. Gerrards Cross is on the train line to London and a short hop to Marylebone station. The house is within walking distance of the GX train station and the town center. It could hardly be more conveniently located. Central yet quiet. I arrived in Gerrards Cross a couple of nights early to become acquainted with the house and Simba’s routine. Cerys left detailed instructions as well. It was all very straight-forward. The annex, where I resided, is recently renovated, self-contained, sparkling clean and very comfortable. Perfect for a long term stay. During the course of the housesit, everything went off without a hitch. Cerys was always responsive to any queries. Other family members were around from time to time as well. I felt completely at home throughout the stay. Lastly, Simba was just the best. We fell into a comfortable groove very quickly. He often stayed nearby while I worked during the day and kept me company. My favorite was what I called “Playtime” during the afternoon when Simba would romp around the grounds in a chase-like game. He was so bouncy, entertaining and fun to be around. I would happily return if the opportunity were to present itself. I miss Simba and was sad to go! I’ll also add that this stay coincided with the start of the coronavirus outbreak. When I wasn’t sure where my next stop would be due to ever-changing travel plans and restrictions, Cerys and Mark offered to let me stay on a few days until I sorted that out. It didn’t come to that but I much appreciated the offer at the time. Thank you all again!
This is an incredible sit. I really can’t say enough good about it. It would be many paragraphs. Libby is kind and real and very easy-going. Osa is the sweetest most tender loving little rocker dog. Just a cuddle girl. And Baffi is beautiful and funny and dear. Both animals are living an especially good life. They both get to be outside they both enjoy being outside and they are both very easy and sweet to be around. They have been exceedingly well cared for and are not spoiled at all.The house is beautiful. It’s been decorated and remodeled in a really warm and great aesthetic. There’s a lot of natural wood, great furniture pieces and rugs. The backyard is amazing. There’s a hammock, fruit trees and many happy birds. There’s a lot of great touches outside and in. I highly recommend this sit. It is one of my favorites.
We really enjoyed our time housesitting for Christine, she is lovely! Buffy & Dawn were perfectly behaved & have the most beautiful natures. The whole experience was very hassle free & we’d happily do it again 😊
I had such an amazing time at Emily and her families home on their farm. They went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed, drew me a map of the area and walks to go on. Ned and Dave are such kind, easy and beautiful dogs to look after, I miss them quite a lot and can't wait to see some sometime again! I couldn't reccommend this house sit enough.
I had an incredible week housesitting for Kat and Zack. I love Penny! She is such a loving, easy to care for, and goofy cat. I felt immediately comfortable and confident in taking care of her and the house because Kat and Zack provided detailed written instructions, emergency contact information, and took their time walking me through the home and answering all my questions. The house was thoroughly cleaned and prepped for my arrival and included a workstation for me to continue remote working and a hammock in the garden for the perfect morning read. Penny was often within 5 feet of me and would sometimes come in for a cuddle but didn't need so much affection that I couldn't get my work done. She is independent and sweet and loved well by her parents. I can't recommend this housesit enough.
