We had an incredible experience sitting for Benson and Squirrel; so much so, that we'd secretly like to not let anyone else know how great it was! Jen did an outstanding job of setting us up for success with detailed information about Squirrel and Benson as well as very caring friends and neighborhood contacts we could reach out to if we needed anything. This is a special neighborhood and community, where they are clearly valued members and where we were treated like one of their own. Squirrel and Benson are both lovable, trusting, and full of personality. Squirrel enjoys being near wherever you are, and Benson is a champion sleep snuggler! They were easy to care for and really enjoyed the walking and car adventures we went on together. Jen was very timely in responding to any questions we had about the dogs. Jen and Alex's home is very comfortable and well-appointed with anything you would need. It is situated in Tumalo, OR in the epicenter of Central Oregon's natural beauty. They are a stone's throw from Tumalo State Park and the Deschutes River, a multitude of hiking and biking trails, and only a 30-minute drive to the climber's paradise, Smith Rock. The walking loop behind their house that we did twice a day with Benson and Squirrel is as beautiful as any of the surrounding parks and preserves. They are also conveniently close to a wide selection of grocery stores and shops, food carts, and all that Bend has to offer. This is a 5-star +++ sit that we highly recommend and would do again in a heartbeat. Don't miss the opportunity to do this if you get the chance!
My sit with Mindy was fantastic. Linda is a wonderful host who is incredibly gracious and communicative. The home is very calming and inspiring while the location itself is remarkable. The neighborhood itself is lovely and community focused. I felt safe with the neighbors who took the time to check in on me. I enjoyed walking to coffee shops and exploring with Ms. Mindy. I am going to miss our cuddles, playtimes and her sweet companionship. She absolutely captured my heart and I feel incredibly grateful to have had the chance to care for her!
