We spent a lovely week in the Witterings, enjoying walking the dogs along the nearby beach. We were made very welcome and had everything we needed. Holly was quick to answer any questions we had. The dogs loved chasing balls, although they had a tendency to chew them up too! The cats were very easy to look after, although 2 were very shy. Monty was very good, and Nelly the puppy was good when she had lots of attention, but had a tendency to steal our food from the bench! She didn't like being left alone, so we tried to make sure one of us was around most of the time.
Rio is a really sweet dog and loves people. She walks pretty well on a leash and loves to jump up to say hi to people. If you keep reminding her to sit, she will to receive attention from people. She also rides well in a car! She's also pretty treat motivated so you can always encourage good behavior by carrying treats with you! Anne is a great host - the house was clean, good wifi and I had my own guest room. She communicated frequently and left very detailed instructions about the house and Rio. Monte Rio is a very quiet town. There is plenty to do within driving distance and lots of dog friendly places to go with Rio!
I had a great 3 week stay at Michele's place in Sydney. The neighborhood is quiet but close enough to a train line that takes you directly to the city center via the airport stations, so it was handy for sightseeing etc. I absolutely fell in love with the dogs and cats, they are very sweet and no trouble to look after at all! Thank you for your hospitality Michele!
Cute and friendly pets. It was a pleasure to stay and take care of them. The place has everything you need and is conveniently located! David communicated regularly and left clear instructions for everything. I would gladly petsit for them again :) Thanks!
Nicols and David are a very friendly welcoming couple and they made sure that everything was shown to us before they left. Nicols also wrote a house/pet guide for us to refer to, which was handy. The house is very comfortable and is set in large grounds and farmland with a beautiful garden. The dogs are adorable and were very affectionate to us from the off, which was wonderful. Since we were house-sitting at a hot time of year we watered the garden; pots, beds and vegetable patch. The dogs have one long walk a day on extender leads and this is in a nearby pretty woodland. We enjoyed watching the birds and butterflies in the garden while relaxing with the dogs during the heat of the day. The supermarket is a 10min drive. Towns nearby are pretty & generally quiet but on market days they come alive. If you enjoy peaceful rural living in the South of France with 2 affectionate dogs then you’ll love this Sit. We certainly hope to return : )
This was a wonderful place to sit. The pets were easy and fun. (We took Libby on a lot of hikes around the property, which is just stunning). Jeff and Schonett were very easy to work with and provided all the details we needed to take care of their beautiful home and pets. I would not hesitate to sit here again if given the chance.
