This was a wonderful sit with three happy, energetic dogs in a fantastic home. I was so happy to explore the local walks and it felt like the dogs and I had them all to ourselves - it's a really beautiful and peaceful part of the world. I met Lucia and Nick a few weeks before (since I'm fairly local), who were so welcoming and friendly, and they introduced me to the dogs and the house. I was looking for a quiet place to work and relax for a few days and this was perfect. Would love to visit again sometime!
We were very happy to sit for Ashlee and Terrence! They have such a beautiful and comfortable home with everything you could need to be happy! Ashlee was very easy-going and great with communication. Gizmo and Rocky were so cute and funny, we adore them so much!! They are both such characters and captured our hearts. They gave us no trouble at all! They have a doggy door which is very convenient!! Walks aren't required because they have a doggy door and outside deck, but we were more than happy to give these 2 precious pups daily walks! They are so fun and playful, a joy to be around! We had a great time and would gladly take care of Rocky and Gizmo again!
We spent a month in Dinah's amazing house and took care of Rambo and Rocky. The house has a patio and two terraces with a beautiful view of Teide and the ocean. There are flowers everywhere, including hibiscus and geraniums of all possible colours. We spent a lot of time with the doggies who are very friendly and love petting and rubbing. I walked Rambo who is very calm and Vladimir walked Rocky who is more temperamental and needs a stronger leader. We warmed to both dogs and we miss them already. Thank you, Dinah, that we could spend such nice time at your place with your dogs.
Nick and Charlotte's farm in a clearing in the middle of woods in the Chiltern hills is an incredible place to spend some quiet time. The main house is a charming wood beamed thatch cottage dating from the Stuart period. It was so lovely to meet the family and the animals a few days beforehand; truth is I was actually so intrigued to see the place! It was the most wonderful time. I haven't done many housesits with horses and these two Patch and Timmy and are so so special. At ease and friendly immediately, I so enjoyed hanging out in the paddock and having a chat & pat and giving them their morning apple & carrot. Patch inparticular is difficult to leave and they both want lots of love. Baloo is a lively, playful young lab. who loves a good hunt in the woods and wont get tired out and will be with you for all the small errands. Be careful he doesn't beat the ducks to their feed before you put them to bed though! Yogi is a ageing rock star who knows when its meal time and loves to snuggle by the warm fire and have you around. The 5 ducks round off the perfect farmstay. Comms with Nick and Charlotte was great. All the necessary and no extra fussing. Such a lovely family to meet and sit for. I was sorry to leave and love to visit again. Best wishes, Richard
I absolutely adored Otto and Vivian. They are such sweet dogs full of goofy personality! If you've never seen a frenchie wrestle with a full-sized golden, you're in for some laughs! Their care was simple and straightforward and they were always well behaved. Kali was also kind and easy to communicate with. The house is gorgeous and was left spotless for us. I would definitely recommend this sit!
