Jacob sat for me for just under 3 weeks and I had no concern about leaving him in charge of my two dogs. Communication before the sit was good and he kept me up to date on his travel arrangements. He kindly went out of his way to make an extra journey the day before the sit to meet the dogs to ensure the handover went as smoothly as possible. We communicated via messaging and video calls frequently while I was away which I find essential. He didn't hesitate to ask if he had any questions regarding the house or the dogs. He cared for one of my dog's eyes by bathing it when necessary and I returned home to 2 happy and healthy dogs. Thanks, Jacob!
Sarina was eager and very communicative. I appreciated her taking the job short notice as my other cat care fell through and her willingness to come over and check our home out prior to leaving. Shortfalls would be that our pool was sparkling when we left, and a pond that required draining and full cleaning upon return, three weeks later…she had turned off all pumps and vacuums and then thought it wasn’t working. When she told me she was struggling with the pool I let her know I would come home early if it was too big of a problem and she said she would contact the pool expert at her property management position and I didn’t hear another concern from her. She did let me know her kids would be with her occasionally, which was fine with me, however she did allow them to play under my bed unattended in the master bedroom, where my cat goes to be left alone, and order 4 shows from my prime account. Upon our return she left us gifts, which were thoughtful and kind. Some strange and concerning items found were her personal towels mixed in with mine, despite me leaving plenty of clean towels in each bathroom, silverware in my dishwasher that was not ours, a cigarette butt in the dryer, a leg razor (and accompanying leg hair) in my 4yo’s bath toy box, an extraordinarily explicit bedroom wear in my 12yo’s desk in the kids media room, and a replacement for our toilet brush. As far as cleaning, it was a bummer to have to put away so many dishes (full dishwasher and countertop pile as well), clean the fridge that still contained her half eaten tuna salad in a loosely covered dish, try to get glitter paint or glue off the patio, and the realization that our pool was in complete disrepair. My cat has been skittish of our kids since return but is healthy and alive. Overall I found Sarina to be very kind and while we were gone, very communicative; she offered me many interesting facts and diy fixed for things around my home. I wish I had set better and clearer boundaries regarding the kids and asked more questions. I imagine she would be well suited for someone without a pool and more prepared for their first house sit.
Anne is one of our favorite sitters for good reason. Five ⭐️ on all the ratings and in addition we returned to a VERY happy and well loved dog. Our home lost power during our trip and Anne was bothered communicative and self-sufficient in managing. We will definitely welcome and hope she comes back.
I was warmly welcomed. Jacob is a nice person. The communication was very good. Avery and Penelope are very affectionate, they love to be petted. The apartement ist very nice and clean. My room was very nice. They are lovely walks nearby. There is a Bus Stop and shopping opportunities Thank you for choosing me. I can recommend the sit to everyone.
We had a wonderful few days looking after Tigger, Phoebe, and Raye, not to mention the sweet gecko, Princess Peach. Sarah's home is on a quiet street in Liverpool with plenty of shops and parks nearby, making a car unnecessary, although we had ours (parking was no problem). Although we didn't meet Sarah in person, her communication was excellent throughout and we felt very welcome. The cats are all delightful, each with their own unique personalities - from the daring and lovable Tigger to the initially shy Raye. Phoebe is a total love bug who adores cuddles. We’d recommend this sit wholeheartedly, thank you again for choosing us Sarah!
