I can enthusiastically recommend Rachel as a five-star pet and house sitter. You know how some people. just put you at ease? Rachel is that person. Just the overall vibe was, "I got this." Her communication was perfect - it seemed the moment I would think about the cats I would receive a message from her with pictures attached. I never had to track her down. She was very consistent in her updates which is the most important thing to me. When we returned from our trip the house was clean and tidy and the cats were happy and calm. I would love to have Rachel back any time!
We were blessed with doing a stay for Carl and Joanne. Our duty was to take care of the two invisible cats. One of the cats was out of sight approximately 99.8% of the time. He hovered underneath Carl and Joanne's bed, and we would occasionally get a glimpse of him when he didn't think we were watching. The other cat was slightly braver and at times would venture out into the living area. On a couple of occasions this cat would actually make contact with us, however this was rare. Their home is absolutely beautiful and was very comfortable. Shopping and support services were all close by. Their home is located in a gated community with a golf course. Unfortunately the golf course was closed due to new ownership and updating. The overall sit was excellent and to say the least and was one of the easiest sits we had in the last 18 months. We met Carl and Joanne the day prior to our sit, and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We would always love to do another housesit for them if the need ever arose. Of a rating of thumbs with a maximum of five, we would give them and this sit a 10. Thank you for allowing us to share your home and your kids.
We highly recommend this family and their lovely animals! We had a short stay but enjoyed it very much. The animals are so friendly and cuddly, they were with us all the time, seeking attention and being playfull :) Buddy is a real character, always by our side. The cats also! Charlie is so affectionate, and slept by our side every night purring. The kittens are adorable, playful but also very cuddly and enjoyed sleeping next to us as well. We took the dogs out for a walk in the fields and in the town. Finn is so pacient and kind, calm and always looked at us for reassurance. I would be comfortable with him in any circumstance. I think in the summer time the back garden is a great place to spend afternoons, playing with the dogs, now it was a bit chilly for us, but I enjoyed going out first thing in the morning for strong and fresh air. The house is amazing, we feel so fortunate we had the chance to stay there, I think anyone that loves animals and would like to feel like "home" would enjoy this sit !
We had the most wonderful time taking care of Leo and Lucas and getting to know Darrin and Nancy! Leo and Lucas are so sweet, energetic, and full of love !!! Leo loves to cuddle and play with his toys and felt very comfortable with us from the first moment we got there. Lucas needed a little bit time to warm up to us, but once he did, he was so loving and cuddly. They are very good friends and love to play with each other around the house. Everybody knows them in the neighbourhood and the neighbours were very friendly and welcoming to us during our stay. Nancy and Darrin’s house is located in a beautiful resort and is very pleasant and cozy. It has everything we needed for a comfortable stay, a few minutes away from the Gulf of Mexico beaches! The community area feels very safe and there’s plenty of things to do in a very small radius. We are very grateful for the opportunity to get to know and spend some quality time with Darrin and Nancy before they headed out to their trip. They shared with us recommendations for things to do in the area and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We highly recommend taking care of Leo and Lucas and would be happy to come back again anytime!
Noel and Sharon are lovely hosts they kindly prepared us an evening meal. The dogs were very friendly and pleasure to care for.
Although we have done many house/pet sits previously this was our first using Trusted Housesitters so thank you Meredith and Matt for selecting us crazy cycling kiwis and giving us the opportunity to stay in your apartment, care for your fur family and explore your region. From the very first contact Meredith and Matt were awesome to deal with, always responsive and gave us a clear and straightforward welcome guide that provided us with every thing we needed to know. The 3 fur babies we cared for are so very adorable and incredibly chilled and adjusted to their routine. The location of the house is close to transport links, right next to a shopping mall but at the same time very quiet and restful. Meredith and Matt made us welcome to their home and gave us great confidence in the assignment ahead. We throughly enjoyed our time with Miri, Zelda and Rudy and we hope to see both Meredith and Matt some time in New Zealand.
Summer is an incredible funny and lovely dog!! She loves cuddles and playing with her tennis balls! Silvana and Brett are a lovely and trustworthy couple! The neighbourhood is also incredible! It has a big park where all the neighbours dogs come to play (and they are all super well behaved!) And then you have a huge park at the river! Definitely would recommend sitting for them!!
