Lori was a great sitter for our menagerie of animals. During the interview process Lori demonstrated a very good understanding of the zeewoi system and responded promptly for interview calls and continued this through her entire sit for us. We have a large antique farm house with all the quirks and maintenance issues that go along with a rambling farm. Lori has owned and maintained her own property and showed no hesitation in fact inspired confidence to be able to attend to any basic challenge on the property. Mechanical systems fortunately had no problems during her stay but we felt reassured that she would have been able to deal with anything that occurred. As an outdoor enthusiast, Lori spent a fair amount of time maintaining the outdoor farm animal shelters and paddock. Overall, the “house sitting” portion of the sit went very well and she also took great care of her personal living quarters that we provide for our sitters. Lori is very good with animals and she was also well liked by our little Pomeranians and bunny. Our indoor animals have special needs which she attended to with ease and took the dogs out frequently on walks and excisions to the parks, woods and beach. The bunny also got to play in the yard. While a major part of our sitting involves the care and feeding of 5 goats and 6 alpacas, usually no one has experience with this but she took it as a challenge and opportunity to learn. She handled the animals with ease and got to enjoy a lot of interaction with them. When we were away, Lori kept us in touch with Photos and text updates so we were at ease with the knowledge of her good communications. Lori is organized and takes notes to recall details of her tasks to perform. This is a very good skill set. We were gladdened to hear that Lori was able to take some time in the area to visit some of the local features of outdoor attractions which she clearly enjoys. We really enjoyed getting to meet and work with Lori and would not hesitate to have her sit for us again in the future should our paths cross again. Most importantly, we felt we could trust her with all our animals and property and she really made it easy for us to call her our friend. Thank you Lori, good luck on all your future sits and travels. We hope to have you back again whether for a sit or a visit, keep in touch.
Kelley did an excellent job of caring for my dog Savvy and taking care of my house. Her communication before during and after the sit was great. The house was in perfect order when I returned. From the photos and her comments, I have every reason to believe that Savvy was treated like a queen. I would welcome Kelley back as a sitter and would highly recommend her.
Truly above and beyond pet care. Daniel and Vasy's walks and amazing hikes with Porter were pushed to the back by their volunteering to bathe my 70# boy, not once, but twice!
We enjoyed this stay with Penny. She's shy at first but not for long. Jess & Bill genuinely care about you making yourself at home in their art-filled home that is in one of those great highly-walkable neighborhoods. It's not downtown, but you have grocery stores, loads of restaurants and shops and a lake all within blocks of the home. Home & Pet Instructions easy (the medication goes in the food, no force feeding pills, lol!), communication fun and friendly, location-great. Really an excellent example of an even "exchange" that THS is meant to be. We were lucky enough to be invited back before we even left. Of course, we said yes!
