I had to board two of my pets, a 6 mo old puppy and a cat who gets medication twice a day for the weekend due to a wedding. Things could not have gone better. Both were well taken care of. Eli, the cat, was shy and withdrawn at first but the staff said he soon warmed up to them. Louie, the puppy, had a blast and made a ton of new friends. We will definitely use them again if the need arises. Top notch facility.
Pawspa is not only a great place for your pets but they have a fantastic business model that is affordable. The staff truly cares about the animals and it’s obvious they enjoy what they do. Our doodle, Goldie comes back better behaved (and tired!!!) after a fun day or few hours at pawspa. We have also used their boarding and grooming services and have been impressed. 10/10 recommend!
We always have a positive experience when using paw spa to board our dog when we go away. I feel at ease knowing she’s safe and taken care of. It’s super reasonable and I love that they offer baths on the last day. I love that they post daily Facebook photos so we can see what our dog is up to when we’re gone. I highly recommend Paw Spa and will continue to use them.
I took my doodle there and I knew he was matted. I specifically told the groomer 3 times before I left that I didn’t want his whiskers or eyelashes cut. Well wouldn’t you know she cut them both completely off! Disappointed is an understatement! I paid 90 dollars for a groom and teeth brush. When we left and got in the car his breath still smelled as if he didn’t even get them brushed. When I went back inside to complain the very nice receptionist said “I’m sorry I will leave the groomer a note” A NOTE??????!!!! He was also supposed to get his nails trimmed and they were barely done! I was sitting with him on the couch and I noticed he has a cut on his belly from the clippers. I’m furious! I will never recommend this place to anyone. I’m just disgusted!
The staff at The Paw Spa is wonderful! I take my dog there to get groomed and it is the best grooming experience I have ever had. Finnegan always smells good and feels extra soft. Highly recommend!
They are so friendly, kind and accommodating there; I can drop my dog off anytime for daycare without giving notice . He gets so excited when we pull up to the building… he knows he’s going to have lots of fun that day!
We had an unfortunate experience this past week taking our dog to PawSpa for a grooming. When my husband picked him up he noticed a quarter size, bloody mark on his butt where a chunk of hair had been removed. When he immediately went back in to ask staff what happened - the groomer responded she had never seen that before and it wasn't from her while the owner was acting stunned and responded with he would need to question his staff. it is VERY obvious the groomer injured him with clippers and instead of just explaining what we presumed was an accident during the grooming, she lied and vacated any responsibility. The owner did take full responsibility after i called to ask what happened. I had to ask for a refund which the owner did agree too. However we will not be back and i would not recommend others bringing their animals here. it's super unprofessional how they handled their responses and only raises concerns for other shady negligence that could be occurring. it worrisome that our dog spent hours there with this injury and no one had the decency to inform us during pick up or be able to explain how it occurred.
I make sure to bring my dog here every day because he absolutely loves it. The staff even posts updates about him on their Facebook page so I can see what he's been up to. It really warms my heart to see how much they care for him.
Well if you have a standard poodle don't take it here! As you can see looks like whoever groomed our standard does NOT know what they are doing. For $120 I wouldn't have expected a place with the nemicolin name to do such a poor job.
Our dog of 13 years has been to many boarding places and this one by far has been the best and her favorite! We feel so at ease having her stay her for boarding. We also love all the pictures they post on social media so we can see our pup while we are away!
We’ve taken our dogs to pet palace a couple times. The staff are nice, though the place itself just gets the job of boarding done as the dogs bark a lot in the same space. This review is about the grooming service we added. I am not even sure if the bath was given as my doodle is so matted with tangled hair, esp his tail, and usually after bath his hair is soft and puffy. All in all, board but DO NOT do the grooming add on.
Had to come to Pittsburgh for medical appointments needing X-ray so had to find a reliable place for my service dog to hang out for a few hours. Making an appointment on the portal was so easy. When he arrived, they treated him so well and made sure he was happy and comfortable, giving him one on one time and documenting his day. We will definitely be back!!
Update: Aug 2024 Rooney is so happy when she realizes that she is going to Pet Palace. Some of the staff have changed and I will miss them but the current staff is caring and kind. I just love the fact that they have relationships with Rooney and they love her too! My yellow lab Rooney has been going to Pet Palace for about 2 years now (Since 2020). We love it here. The staff are exceptional in their love and attention to the dogs and the overnight accommodations are great. They even offer a webcam for me to check in on her while she's there for a night. Thank you to the staff. I am waiting for some Pet Palace swag - a sticker would be great.
My two Poodles were grooming clients with Per Palace at their Southside location for about 2 years, we will never take our pets back to this location, and I suggest you do the same. A week after picking my dogs up from the groomer, my oldest started coughing. After speaking with my vet, they advised it was likely kennel cough. I called Pet Palace to see if they had any cases of kennel cough, and to my surprise, I was informed there was an outbreak and my pets were there when the outbreak was happening. I was never told that my pets potentially could have been exposed. The staff told me “we told all of our boarding clients, the groomer was supposed to tell you”. Well she didn’t. What makes me so upset is that this was purposely hidden from me. When I asked to speak to the groomer, I was told “she doesn’t want to speak with you”. Go figure. Believe it or not, this gets worse. A few days after getting our dogs groomed, we brought home an 8 week old French Bulldog. Had we been informed of the kennel cough outbreak, we would have waited until we knew our Poodles were not infected/beat the infection before bringing home our new puppy. Unfortunately, both Poodles and the Frenchie puppy contracted kennel cough. To be honest, Pet Palace did offer to pay for the medical care needed for all three dogs, and they did follow through with this. I just wish it would have never gotten to that point. Whether it was incompetence or negligence, this situation could have been avoided completely. If we simply would have been informed of the outbreak, it would have been a non-issue. But for me, the act of hiding it and not informing me has broken all trust.
Awesome place that our dog, Frankie, LOVES! We started coming here after meeting Samantha at an event. We are nervous owners with a somewhat nervous dog, but he comes back tired & happy! Samantha & all of the staff always welcome Frankie by name, they treat him like a tiny king! When we call for updates, they are super sweet & really take the time to check in. They seem to do a good job of monitoring playgroups, too. They always make sure his needs & ours are met! Such a loving group here & we are so grateful to find them ❤️
I am a college student and have a total of 3 dogs all with varying needs and personalities. I travel frequently and often have a volatile schedule. I predominantly use boarding with rotating play times. I recommend this place time and time again. It’s affordable and the staff are passionate. My one girl is defensive and my other is fear reactive.. my last is easier to maintain but requires stricter watch over food & liquid. I drop them off, they are nervous but when I pick them up, they are always well kept and extraordinarily happy and comfortable. The boarding records that they are sent home with are adorable. I always feel heard and confident my dogs are getting the attention and care they need. In addition to happy dogs, the staff are very understanding and flexible. Great environment with postive Staff. Problem solving skills are far beyond what I could ask for. Congrats on a well run boarding facility, they are exceedingly rare!
I love the Pet Palace! Our dog, Winston had a great time staying there while we traveled. His "room" was spacious and he had a comfy bed. He got to have play time in the large indoor area with the staff. When we walked through the facility the one things that stood out to us was that it was very clean! We saw that all the dogs that were there were in clean enclosures and all seemed to be very happy. The staff were friendly and helpful. They answered all our questions and concerns. While he was there he got to go to the spa. His grooming service was fantastic. I loved that he came home shiny and clean with his nails done. Over all I cannot say enough nice things about the Pet Palace. We have boarded at other places, but they are our favorite by far. Thank you to all who helped take care of Winston during his stay and making him feel right at home. <3
Last year was our first time using Pet Palace and we had nothing but praise. This year feels different-total opposite. Short and sweet, we make homemade food. We asked before boarding if feeding, refrigeration and schedule could be followed & told no problem. We provided food and written instructions. Well, nearly all food was returned to us. We were told she grazed. We give our dogs dry food but it is not a staple and that was mentioned. So, what did she eat? I am sure the separation and not having normal diet and play created some inconsistency but this feels different. The previous stay she came home with no problems. This time, she is squeamish, lethargic, vomited twice. Last year on pick up day we we were not charged for that day. Similar to hotels, we were only charged per night. This year, we were charged on pick-up day. When we asked, no clear explanation was provided. If it is a check-out time policy, just explain that but ignoring & no explanation leaves a customer in doubt. Our pup (BTW: a small shih tzu) plays by romping. Last year she was excluded from play groups. She plays this way with our 13 year old shih tzu (who stays with grandparents due to age and health issue). She also plays this way with her cousin pups and another pup friend in our neighborhood. She's not dangerously aggressive, just energetic and rough plays by rolling, barking, growling, chasing. We understand a boarding facility not putting her in playgroups for precaution reasons but to give her stimulation we provided treats and an interactive toy. We also paid for 1:1 time. Since our pup babies can't communicate, we trust we get what we paid for. Another doubt is that it looks like she was never given the treats which means she likely did not get to play with her toy. I commend Pet Palace staff honesty by returning the food & treats. It could have all been pitched and we'd never know otherwise but we are now left with unsettling concern. We feel our two experiences are totally different and opposite. Unfortunately, we are not having the same good vibes and are feeling very unsettled about future boarding at Pet Palace.
We had to board Tank, a 220 lb English Mastiff for 10 days while in Pittsburgh for surgery and recovery. It was not an easy thing to do, he’s very spoiled and we have never been away from him for that long. The entire staff were wonderful, took great care of him and pampered him. He was very happy and comfortable 🥰
I felt that the staff at the Pittsburgh Pet Palace truly care about the health and wellbeing of the pets that stay there. My dog, Morty, can be quite a handful and has been turned away from pretty much every other daycare/boarder in the area and so to find a place that would actually work with him and take great care of him was perfect. What I didn't expect was how much the staff went above and beyond for Morty even to the point of taking some cute photos of him that I now have set as my cell phone background photo. Morty tends to be quite hesitant with new people, but the staff at the Pet Palace have always been quite gentle and patient with him to not stress him (or me) out. I'm still quite shocked that Morty actually "likes" going to the Pet Palace. Until the Pet Palace I had never seen him actually go back to someone I handed him off to, but at the Pet Palace he'll literally run back to them and playfully ask for a goodbye belly rub. It is the cutest thing and makes me know for sure that he's being treated extremely well there. For that kind of service there really is no comparison. Pet Palace is the place for me and my pet.
I used Fetch many times, Gina was my cat sitter and my cats LOVED her, we are new to the area and I was so happy that we were able to find someone to watch our two kitties, who you can see in the photos! We hired them from August 3rd to August 11th and Paulette, the owner, was the one who watched them. We were so happy to have the owner take over for Gina, but it was the worst experience we have ever had and I have spent the entire last month trying to get this fixed. Our last visit was at 7:30 pm on August 11th and we returned at 6:00 am on August 12th. When we arrived our cats had no water at all, they have a large fountain and it was completely empty. What if I didn't get home until later that night? Their litter box was also almost empty, instead of the 3 inches we left it with there was only about 1/2 inch of litter, while the giant tub of litter was right outside the bathroom door. I leave a note detailing instructions, nothing complicated, but I don't believe it was ever read, cans were put in the open recycling instead of a closed garbage where we put them for safety. None of my outside plants were watered, the cats treat container was broken and just left on the counter, where the cats could get it. No one reached out to me the entire time I was gone to ask any questions at all. Gina would text me each time she visited, while I know that was extra it was appreciated. Honestly I would think that a trainee came into my home, not the owner of the company. I never write things like this but it was appalling . I have now spent the past MONTH trying to reach some sort of solution to this issue. I have emailed them 8 times, no response, and I know that they check the email because they have chose to text me, but then not respond to any emails. I texted them, I only asked for a partial refund for how honestly horrible the service was, but have got nothing back. I have never been treated this way I have no idea what is going on with this company. I travel 3-4 times a year and have hired Fetch for every trip, but never again. I am honestly so hurt and disappointed that they would treat my cats this way after I trusted them in their care and then never rectify the situation. I will NEVER use them again and warn others against using them. I spent a month trying to fix this so I don't have to be that person writing a bad review, but here we are.
Fetch! has been such a great service on our past few trips. We have had Monique and Adrienne help out. They take such great care of my cat and it gives me great piece of mind that she’s safe and happy. - They do a mini consult to meet the pet and go over the details of their visits. - for my pet, they clean the litter, refresh the water, refill the food, give snacks, and play/snuggle - after the visit you get photos from the session and a journal - they will even bring in delivery packages and cans, no problem!
Very easy to schedule pet sitting and the sitter is always responsive. They provide great care to my cats when I am out of town. I've been using them for the last few years anytime I am out of town and I have never had an issue. I would and have recommended them to friends.
I cannot recommend Fetch highly enough! The app is so well-organized; you will receive a "yes or no" checklist of things your pet-sitter did during each visit (fed, watered, scooped litter box, etc.) and if they return for multiple visits, they will also note how your pet reacted to those things (did they eat? want to play? use litter box?). They also send a personalized note and photo of your pet each visit; it was such a relief to be able to watch my cat get more and more comfortable hanging out with Paulette in real-time while I was away. :) They put so much care and attention into pet-sitting and communicating with pet-owners while doing so. Thank you so much for taking such great care of my cat!!
Highly satisfied and very happy with this company. Monique did a fantastic job cat sitting our two furbabies. She took notes of our instructions and gave us peace of mind making sure that our kitties are going to be safe and sound. She kept us posted in every visit and we love her regular journals and updates regarding her latest adventure with our cats. She is very prompt, thorough, and most of all, very caring and loving to all animals. We highly recommend Monique, her mom, and the entire Fetch! Pet Care.
I never have to worry about the care of my pets since I found Fetch! They are so dependable, the price is great, and the app is easy to use. I also love that the same wonderful Fetch! pet care person (thank you Lenore!) has always been available to care for my pets- cause when you have cats that take a bit to warm up to people, that is piece of mind! I have recommended Fetch! to two coworkers and they too are happy customers.
Monique understood exactly the situation I was facing, helping a family member who had to leave town for an emergency (and I'm in a different state). They were able to find a wonderful pet sitter for us in a flash, who was just wonderful with Cookie the kitty. We are so, so happy with the services of Jonathan, and would definitely ask for him again! Thank you.
We've had a great experience with Fetch. I am so happy that we connected with Lenore Wossidlo through the service. She is extremely reliable and has great availability. I know that she cares about my kitties just as much as I do. Fetch makes it easy to book and pay without adding stress to my schedule and travel.
Those of us who have pets know that they are not just "pets". They are members of our families. I had a family emergency and had to go out of town. Monigue took care of my bird at my home while I was away and she was absolutely great! Honestly, I think she took better care of "Nancy" than I do! She sent me a picture every time she visited which made me feel a lot better about leaving her in someone else's care. Another thoughtful item is that Monique did a "meet and greet " with Nancy and me before I left. She was also extremely responsive when I would send her a text regarding any additional information she may have needed, etc. I would use their service again in a heartbeat.
Monique did an awesome job checking in on my two cats for 9 days. She was reliable and took care of everything they needed. One of the cats knocked over a glass and she let me know immediately, swept it up, and checked to make sure neither of them were hurt. I would use her again for peace of mind while away!
We have been using Bow Wow Stay Now for years. Stacy is very easy to work with and takes such great care of our dog. He is a German Shepherd and has bad anxiety but is always relaxed in the photos she sends! We would recommend to anyone!
I can’t say enough great things about Bow Wow Stay Now!! My dog Basil is more of a shy girl and she is so comfortable going for her day and overnight stays!! It’s also comforting knowing she is in great hands when she is there and we don’t have to worry!! I love getting the picture updates as well!! Every time we pull up to the house she is trying to jump out out of the car!!! Thanks again Bow Wow Stay Now!!
This is the best doggy daycare out there!! We started taking our Sheltie puppy Griffin here when he was about 8 months old and at the time he wasn’t always confident around other dogs, even occasionally hiding behind our legs at the dog park. So we weren’t sure how he would do, but Stacy made everything work smoothly! She has a process for all her new dogs, including always keeping a very close eye on the situation to make sure that everyone was safe. Because Griff’s adjustments to the new dogs and new surroundings were made slowly and carefully, he did great. Ever since he started going to Stacy’s (almost 2 years ago), Griffin has come so far out of his shell and has become WAY more confident around other dogs! Griffin always comes home SO happy (and tired!) from all the playtime both inside and outdoors (weather permitting of course). Stacy always sends GREAT photos, too (see attached), which never fail to make our day! We couldn’t be more grateful that Griffin has a home away from home where he can have fun and we can be 100% confident that he is safe!
We love Bow Wow Stay Now! Stacy sends daily pics when my dog Lulu is there and she is great with communication. Lulu has been shy with other dogs and taking her here has made her more confident to play with other dogs!
Our rescue, Sophie, loves Bow Wow Stay Now. Sophie is skittish but we were amazed at how she adapted to the environment that Stacy provides. Stacy keeps us informed with videos that are so reassuring and we were delighted to see her playing with the other dogs. I highly recommend Stacy and Bow Wow Stay Now.
We’ve been boarding our dog here for almost four years on extended overnight periods. He absolutely LOVES it and Stacy! She was recommended by a friend who boards there as well. I can’t say enough good things about how excited my baby dog gets when we are approaching, so much so he might likely just choose to live there if he could. Stacey is great to communicate with, always sends photos, videos and updates. The cost is beyond reasonable and especially for having free roam and a lovely environment instead of an anxious kennel dog area. Best kept secret that I hope stays a secret! Thank you
Bow Wow Stay Now pet sitter is the best I have had in Pittsburgh. I travel frequently and have great peace of mind with my 2yr old golden retriever! My golden practically runs me over when she sees them and knows she’s going to camp or for an overnight. The owners are very attentive to my dogs needs and constantly are sending me updates and pictures. They work around my schedule with pick up and drop of and make sure my dog feels comfortable and at home on their home! Highly recommend.
I highly recommend BowWowStayNow. Stacy is very accommodating regarding pick up and drop off times. Her place is clean and there is a nice/secure fenced in back yard. She is thorough in screening the dogs so all are current with shots. She is a very nice person and calm with the dogs. She treats my dog as if he is her own... one of the family!!!
Stacey has been so important to us since we like to travel but hate leaving our dog behind. Bow Wow Stay Now is like a second home to our dog. She’s always excited to get there and I have peace of mind while we are away knowing she’s in a loving home.
For around 8 years we have been taking our dog Harley to Stacy for day care and also overnight boarding when we take trips. She and also my husband and I love it! My dog gets so excited when we tell her that she is going that she doesn't calm down! We are so fortunate to have found this place of business, that treats and cares for our dog like one of their own! Harley comes home a happy and THOROUGHLY exhausted pup! I can always count on Stacy for taking great care of Harley! Highly recommend!
I picked up my big puppy from almost a week of being here and he was so happy and had so much fun! I love that we can watch the cameras at any time to watch them play!!! They treat every animal here with love and give them all attention! The first time I left my dog here I noticed the worker giving him lots of pets which made him happy and made me feel better! We also got a bath and he smelled wonderful and had the most adorable bandanna on! I can tell they gave him so much love and attention! They always know who he was playing with and what made him happy that day! I can’t express how amazing this facility is!
My dog loves going here! The staff is so friendly and respectful to all the dogs. I trust them with his care. It’s also fun to watch him play with all the other dogs on the camera feed. Would highly recommend!
There are no words to tell you how excellent and attentive the staff is.... they truly treat your pup as their own! Tinsley gets so excited every time she goes to camp! I don't feel badly the times I have to board her because I know she is having so much fun! They are loving, convenient and reasonably-priced!
**Our Stay at Camp Bow Wow: A Tail-Wagging Good Time!** We recently had the pleasure of boarding our two Dachshunds, at Camp Bow Wow, and we couldn't have been happier with the experience. From the moment we dropped them off, we knew they were in good hands. The staff at Camp Bow Wow are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and they clearly love dogs. The facilities at Camp Bow Wow are also top-notch. The kennels are clean and spacious, and the dogs have plenty of room to run and play. There are also several outdoor play areas, so the dogs can get some fresh air and exercise. We highly recommend Camp Bow Wow to anyone looking for a safe, fun, and affordable dog boarding service. We know that our dogs were in good hands, and we felt confident leaving them there. **Here are a few of the things we loved about Camp Bow Wow:** * The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. * The facilities are clean and spacious. * The dogs have plenty of room to run and play. * There are several outdoor play areas. * Our dogs came home happy and exhausted. * We felt confident leaving our dogs there. We would give Camp Bow Wow 10 out of 10 stars. We were so impressed with the care that our dogs received, and we would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a dog boarding service. Thank you, Camp Bow Wow, for taking such good care of our dogs! We will definitely be back soon.
I took my dog to Camp Bow Wow South for 4 years. I took him to daycare last Friday to get some energy out and have a bath. When he came home he was acting clingy and upset. I assumed that he was just tired from the day. This continued well into Monday, my toddler threw a ball at him he yelped, I thought it was odd but thought that he was maybe just caught off guard. Later, my mom patted him on the back and he yelped even louder. We took him to the vet and he had hundreds of cuts from his neck down his entire spine to his tail from what looked like a grooming tool. He is currently taking antibiotics and steroids that are making him throw up and have accidents. He is not the same dog that I dropped off on Friday for a normal day at daycare and it is breaking my heart. I spoke with Cathy, the manager (I believe) and she was just as upset as I was. She worked with me and spoke with the owner. They are reimbursing me for my vet bills and i appreciate them so much. But, I cannot bring myself back to the business after what happened. I never had any issues with his experiences at daycare over the years and he was always happy and excited when we turned into the parking lot. But, unfortunately for all of us, that is no longer the case for our family.
Everyone is super friendly and I trust them with the care of my pup! Their grooming services are top notch, and the way her nails are trimmed, and dremmeled are perfect every time!
The Pittsburgh South Camp is the best! The employees go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and to give all the dogs in their care the best experience they can give! Their Camp is very clean and smells great when you walk thru the front doors. The people working there are so nice to everyone and they make you feel like family. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my girl but the South Camp where I know she’ll be happy and safe! They are easy to make a reservation with and always make sure all the pups are up to date with vaccines so you know everyone’s healthy! Pittsburgh South Camp is the best in the Pittsburgh area hands down!!!
My golden has received great care over the past fourteen years and seems to regard Camp Bow Wow as her second home.
We have taken our dogs here several times over the past year due to renovations at our home. Each time they are welcomed with open arms and taken care of, beyond our expectations. They are always accommodating to our needs, including giving one of our dogs her daily medication. Each time we take them, they get excited when we arrive into the parking lot. With our last stay, our one dog had a vet appointment to get a tooth removed. When I arrived to pick out our other dog, I had 3-4 members of their staff approach me and ask me how he was. They were genuinely concerned about is condition after his surgery. I was impressed with how they genuinely care about each dog they care for.
Loved it! On our very first visit, the Camp Bow Wow team was so welcoming and friendly. Will be back for daycare & boarding! 🙂 …
Me and my wife took her puppies for their first grooming and we couldn’t have asked for anything more than how we got treated. They treated our dogs like they were their own. They didn’t separate our pups. They left them together the whole time. They took their time to help us with the whole process. Will definitely be coming back.
This place and staff are the best! After another location provided poor service it was such a relief to come to the west liberty location and be met with so many caring and dog loving individuals! My dog loves to come to daycare and I appreciate having a place for her to go when she can’t always be around me.
We have been taking our dog to Megan at the South Hills Dog Stop for his grooming since he was a puppy (he's 3 now). Remy is a poodle mix, so his fur can be challenging. Megan has always done such a great job. She's attentive and addresses any questions we have. She also takes cute photos and sends them to us when he's finished, notifying us when he is done and ready to be picked up. We (Remy too) love Ms. Megan!
Megan grooms our dog and cat! Our dog is a Maltese and our Cat ( difficult to groom) very furry. They both looked gorgeous after their grooming! She adds a personal touch and asks about them to help her understand them more and what we are hoping to achieve as far as grooming. We won’t take them anywhere else We have been going to them for years with our pets who have passed. We now take our granddaughters pets there and can’t say enough about Dog Stop It keeps showing that I posted four stars but I posted five. I’m not sure what’s going on. I would’ve posted 10. Have I been able to
This place is phenomenal! We had our first boarding experience here & it was great! I have a very anxious dog who has been denied boarding at other places. This place was super understanding and patient with him. They have very knowledgeable staff who are willing to meet your dog where they’re at! 10/10! Would recommend!
I would highly recommend the dog stop on west liberty. I come with two dogs and three small children and everyone is so helpful! Megan the groomer is top notch and my dogs always come back smelling so fresh and so clean!
The dog stop has always been a great location for us to take our pup to. They’re always attentive to our pet’s needs and he truly enjoys spending time there. I have been taking my dog to this location for almost 7 years and trust them!
Love taking my dog to Dog Stop to get him Groomed. He comes out smelling a looking good.
This is the worst place you could possibly send your pet. My dog stayed at 'Dog Stop' for a whole week at the end of July. Before going there, my dog was absolutely HEALTHY! I picked him up with infected eyes! When I expressed my outrage and asked questions, they simply said, 'We are very sorry!' At home, I found bald spots on his back. I thought other dogs had bitten him during play because there were marks from other dogs' teeth. More and more bald spots started appearing on my dog's back, so I took him to the hospital. I was told it was a FLEA ALLERGY. And this all happened after his stay at 'Dog Stop.' This is the most awful place for animals. If you want to harm your pet, leave them at “Dog Stop!”
Always kind, take amazing care of puppy who gets nervous in crowds. There is always plenty of staff and facility is always clean! Have never had any issues taking my dog there and will continue to do so!
I cannot say enough good things about Merry Puppins. My previous dog walker had struggled to bond with my challenging chihuahua and I was looking for a fresh start. The ladies of Merry Puppins have been a huge breath of fresh air! They take their time with my pups, use lots of positive reinforcement, and have worked miracles. I think my dogs might like them more than they like me. The added socialization of having multiple “new friends” has also made a huge difference for my little girl, and she’s much less nervous around new people now and getting better every day.
Merry Puppins treats your animals like family. They know my pups mean everything to me and they show them so much love and care. I love all the photos and journal updates. It really brightens up my day when I'm away from the pups. I truly appreciate everything that they do.
I have been a regular customer of Merry Puppins for a number of years and have always been exceptionally pleased with their care as well as their accommodating unusual work schedules. They treat my pets with great kindness and consideration and I never worry about my home or my pets in their presence. I appreciate and enjoy the pictures and commentary provided with their visits. Highly recommend this reputable, dependable, caring and efficiently run business.
They understand that our “pets” are our family and treat them and us with great kindness. Melissa is very professional, has high standards for herself and her staff. Already my rescue feels safe with her and because dogs are excellent judges of character, so do I. My other little girl is very nervous and Merry Puppins respects her needs.
We love having Merry Puppins take care of our pets while we're away. They are truly knowledgable about animals, extremely trustworthy, and professional. We get updates and photos from them after each visit, and Melissa has even crawled into a small space to make sure my hiding scaredy-cat was doing okay! They can also bring in mail and do a few other minor tasks. Their scheduling system is easy to use, and the interface allows for all of your information and communication to be in one spot. We love their service and highly recommend them!
Really excellent experience. I have 2 rescue dogs: one is a bit dog reactive and has a history of separation anxiety and the other is a pandemic puppy, who is new to me working out of the home and can be a bit shy of strangers in the house. Melissa did great working with both of them, she made sure they were comfortable, filled their water, brought in packages, etc. I also loved getting the little report after the visit with pictures and a description -- it gave me such peace of mind! Definitely excellent value and very worth it -- especially for those of us who can't send their dogs to day care or whose dogs need a little more experienced/specialized hand! Highly recommend!
Everyone at Merry Puppins is so attentive to detail, and so incredibly responsible! My pup has a lot of medical concerns (and comes with a lot of instructions!), and they always take care of everything to the letter. Their updates/check ins are adorable and thorough, and help put my mind at ease!
I after my first weekend using Merry Puppins, I’m completely satisfied! Melissa and Erika took such good care of my kitties. They sent wonderful pictures and notes each time they came and they made me feel very relaxed about it all. Great people!
Mary was the perfect match for my husband and I while we were looking for cat sitters for our two cats, Spook, and Tiny. We were gone for 15 days, and Mary came once a day at the same time every day to feed, pet, and give treats to our boys. She sent daily updates with messages and photos showing us how they were doing, cleaned up their messes, scooped their litter box, and brought our packages in. We slept so soundly and enjoyed our vacation so much more because she made us feel like we were in good hands. Thank you so much, Mary! 10/10 would recommend.
Always excellent care and communication with all the folks at Merry Puppins. I feel reassured knowing they are there to take care of Mango and that they will go above and beyond if need be. Highly recommend!!!
Yesterday was the first time we put our dog Rooney in daycare so my wife and I were definitely a little anxious. Everyone at Hounds Town made us and Rooney feel welcome and at ease. They did a great job explaining their process and answered any questions we had. We received updates upon requests and got many happy pictures of our dog. When we got Rooney back, she had the biggest smile on her face and was thoroughly tired (which is a difficult thing to accomplish for her). We will definitely be using Hounds Town and their various locations pretty consistently.
Maggie had a fun-filled spa and play day. She knew she was clean and cute! I felt very comfortable leaving Mags with Cory and the others at Hounds Town. They are super friendly, show a love for dogs and the building is very clean and welcoming. Highly recommend and great prices! Hounds Town will be Mag's go-to for spa and play day! Thank you for being so caring and engaging to Maggie!
My dog had a fantastic time at Hounds Town Strip and I feel 100% comfortable and excited to bring her there whenever I want (no booking necessary for daycare)! They are experts with dogs and their approach to pack play is brilliant! They are quick and friendly and efficient with dropoff and pickup, while also engaging the owners (moms and pops) in a community-centric way. They will remember your dog’s name the instant they see them, and treat them very well 🐶💛
Wonderful experience at HoundsTown - Pittsburgh (Strip District). As a native Pittsburgher (and a worker downtown), I wanted to find a good spot for my lil' doggo to go during the day while I am at work. Stella has been here a few times now and each time, on the way home, she is out like a light -- exhausted from her play day at HoundsTown Town. Beyond this, the team has been super helpful and accommodating to this dog dad -- so I could not be happier with their service.
Very good..when the director saw my pup needed a little bit of a different pace when introducing to a pup friend she improvised. She was warm and kind to my pup and answered all my questions and it gave me peace of mind he will be well taken care of when he goes there in a month.
I saw a Facebook invitation to have a First Free daycare day for my Dog. 1st, you could fill out information online which makes you appreciate that the facility is thorough. 2nd, there is an evaluation of your specific dog, energy level, age, personality. 3rd, if you haven't already, you provide vet information to show they have the needed vaccines and up to date. 4th, your dog meets quickly with another dog they feel is a good fit (out in front, where you are ) I met with three people and so did my pup. Now, all I have to do is take her down for her Free day. I have never boarded, daycare and even rarely dark parked. I was intrigued by this invitation. I might need it someday. Without this invitation I would have never checked it out. Thank you for that and I slightly nervously look forward to bring my Precious Girl down for the day.
We love our friends at Hounds Town! The amazing staff gives us peace of mind, whether it be for a day of daycare or a weekend of boarding. Seriously - this staff is something special, and if you’re looking for people that go the extra mile for your pet, you’ll find it at the Town. Their regular updates on how your pet is doing is much appreciated, and our boy always comes home happy, healthy, and exhausted. We love not having to make reservations for day care, and how easy drop off and pick up is. We just love Hounds Town!
Everyone is so lovely at Houndstown. I also love how they upload pictures of all the dogs each day! It makes it easier to be away from them.
Staff is always so wonderfully kind, caring and communicative! You can tell they really love the animals and that gives us such a peace of mind when we board our pups there! It’s also so nice that they post so many pictures daily so we can see our fur babies having fun while we’re away! The bathing and grooming optional services they provide are an excellent addition so our pups come home nice and fresh!
Our dogs Hugh & Lonnie were in the best hands at Hounds Town! They were there for 7 nights, and we had no issues. We loved seeing them on Instagram daily, and did not ever feel like we needed more contact. I did check in with the team once (nervous Mom here) on the 2nd day, but all was good and they made us feel very comfortable!
