It was a delight to housesit for Paula & Rod, and to look after Cali. Cali (or Her Royal Fluffiness, as I called here) was very timid, but slowly warmed to me. I barely saw her during the day, but she has an accurate internal clock and always showed up at feeding time! The house was very comfortable and only an 8 minute walk to Brentwood Bay's main street and about a 35 mins walk to Butchart Gardens. Paula and Rod were very welcoming indeed. They left me all the info I needed, and responded quickly to any messages I sent. They were even kind enough to come pick me up, and to drop me off at the ferry when I left, despite not getting home from their trip until very late the night before.
We had a wonderful time at Harold's. We looked after their modern well equipped home and their marvelous dog Trixie. Trixie is a beautiful one year old husky. Their home is on the shoulder of Volcan Baru, the highest mountain in all of Panama so needless to say the dog walks came with unbelievable views. Their home is a quick bus or taxi ride to downtown Boquete Panama. Boquete is one of the most sought after location for expats in Panama. The climate, the mountains and the culinary delights make for a great place to live work and play. Harold and his family were very friendly and accommodating, Trixie is fun and very playful she made sure we got plenty of exercise and its a perfect location. I highly recommend this housesit.
