Tanya and her daughter house sat for us for a single weekend and were great! Within minutes of us leaving the house, we received a picture of Oliver cuddling on the couch with them. Communication was great while we were gone and we returned to a clean house and happy pets. We would recommend Lolita to anyone looking for a house or pet sitter. She is a wonderful, friendly person, and cared for our home and our cat Benji like they were her own. She kept in contact with regular updates, and left our house in a better state than when we departed! She also left us the most beautiful homemade soup to welcome us back, which was a godsend for a tired jet-lagged family. We would not hesitate to have her back again. Thank you Lolita!

We were so relieved you agreed to sit for us. Secondly, when we came home, our place was even cleaner than when we had left for our trip! We got lots of photos and videos while we were away of our happy pets. I'm surprised Noah warmed up to you because he's always been so standoffish with anyone who isn't us, so I'm glad he opened up to you. Thank you so much for taking such good care of Zeke too. He had a lot of different medications and you had it all handled and he was all smiles when we got home. Zeke had a checkup at the vets a few days after we got back and you got a huge thumbs up from the vets with staying on top of his meds and helping him lose weight with all of his walks. It was clear in the photos too that he really appreciated all of the snuggles you gave him. Thank you so much for looking after our place and our family. We would love to have you over again any time!

It was a real pleasure it was to have such a trusted person stay in our home and care for our furry children while we were on the other side of the country! We had the opportunity to meet Cara, her daughter, and her sweet terrier before they actually took care of everything for us, so we had complete confidence in her abilities. What we didn't anticipate was how much dedication she put into her care! One of our doggies is a ten-month old puppy, who can be a "handful." Cara gave the puppy training exercises to restrain her jumping behavior, and taught her "lie down" commands, and to stay in her crate in the morning until she was calm -- rather than unleashing her pent-up energy at full force. So, we had a trainer, as well as a sitter! She even gave written suggestions for follow-up work! In addition to her loving pet care, Cara was responsible about every aspect of daily home maintenance. Our house was clean, everything was in its place -- Cara was warm and welcoming. Cara and her husband are looking for a new home in our area, and I have the feeling that this house sitting time will lead to continued friendship and shared experiences. We feel lucky to have found Cara. We could not have asked for a better care-taker!

We couldn’t have asked for better sitters for our furbabies! Cori and Wasil communicated with us about issues and handled a few bumps in the road with efficiency and patience. Our dogs can be a little difficult at times, but Cori and Wasil indulged them and found ways to bond. Both dogs and the cat were happy, healthy and pampered. Wasil went out of the way to help us with transport to and from the airport, and Cori cleaned the house so it was sparkling way more than when we left! They’ve already been invited back for future sits, if possible. I’d recommend our new friends to anyone on TH.

Laura was everything we could have asked for in a sitter -- clean and respectful in our home, calm and affectionate with our dog. She was unphased by our dog's energy level and size, and exercised him well! We'd happily have Laura back.

Johnnie

Johnnie was very sweet. She was easy to talk to and was careful to listen to and understand the details of the sit. She did all the things that were important to me during the sit. She kept my kitty fed and safe. Minnie seemed quite content when I got back home. The house was mostly clean when we got home except the kitchen was a bit of a mess. She watered all my indoor and outdoor plants and made sure the house was locked and the alarm set when she was away. I would love to give Johnnie a 5 star rating but there were a couple of issues that came up that are preventing me from doing so. She was travelling with a partner that was not disclosed in her listing nor was it mentioned in any of our messaging. I found out by accident only a couple of days prior to her arrival. That information needs to be in the profile or at the very least the messaging with the host. The second thing is they appear to have helped themselves to a fair amount of alcohol while they were here. I have never had this happen before and will put it on my guide. I would never give permission for the alcohol.

Katrina was wonderful. She's a great communicator, sent photos of Bella who was obviously happy and well taken care of and left my house super clean(which can be a challenge with a golden). Thank you Katrina!!

Sue is an EXCELLENT pet sitter and house sitter! She is a very lovely lady with a great personality. She is caring, and very responsible….not only to our dog, but for our house as well. We have a 1-year-old female Shih Tzu, Daisy, and we agreed that Sue would bring her dog, Brooks, a Shih Tzu also. They played wonderfully together and I believe are now, boyfriend and girlfriend! Sue walked Daisy 4 times a day in our neighborhood and all our neighbors commented on how much they enjoyed meeting and talking with her. We have heard wonderful comments about Sue from everyone! She provided great communication during our trip with adorable photos and videos of Daisy, which looked so happy, I don't think we were missed! We returned home to a spotless house and a happy Daisy. We were spoiled by Sue…and would love to welcome her and have her back again on our next trip! “5 + Stars on everything!!“ 🐾🐶❤️

Barry

House sitting for Barry was a wonderful experience! He welcomed us into his beautiful home and graciously gave us the opportunity to care for ‘The Twins’!

Communication was great and very thorough; all of our questions were answered and a detailed welcome guide was provided. He was even kind enough to meet us before the sit, go over the pet sitting routine, and clear space for us in the closet!

The internet connection was very fast (about 400Mb Up, 200Mb Down from our device) and allowed both of us (digital nomads) to work without hiccups. Barry has a wonderful, clean, bright, and tidy apartment (with a glorious bed and incredible view!). Plus, there’s AC in both the bedroom and living room which really helped us escape the summer heatwave.

The location is fantastic! His home is close to the High Street – Brooklyn Bridge Station and a mere 15 minute subway ride to World Trade Center. His neighborhood is extremely walkable, with restaurants and parks nearby. There’s a Key Food market, two Trader Joe’s, a Target, Stop and Shop, and Whole Foods 365, all within a ~30 minute walk.

Toretto and Hobbs are sweethearts and we really enjoyed caring for them! Hobbs is super affectionate, loves head scratches, and loves sleeping at the base of the fridge. Toretto is a bit more independent, but we think we won him over, as he would regularly cuddle with us on the couch. Oh, and they both like belly rubs and absolutely positively love treats!

The Twins love playing and are super curious, so it’s best to be cautious about leaving things unattended, as they may want to check if something is tasty, they also think the hall is a magical place! We no doubt bonded with Toretto and Hobbs and miss play time and cuddles with them!

Stephanie lives in a beautiful area of Portland. She is very personable and left us lots of information.  She is well prepared and leaves lots of instructions. Coco is a joy. She is lots of fun and no trouble to care for.

Kara and Mafi were wonderful!  Kara provided clear instructions and was easy to contact during our stay.  Although we didn't meet Kara face to face, we definitely were welcomed into her home and felt comfortable there.  Mafi was a joy!  She uses her doggie door for most of her in/out needs, but loves to go on walks.  The neighborhood is quiet and residential, so walking with her was easy and fun.  Inside she was responsive and liked to be close to us.  The house was clean and comfortable.  We only stayed a short time, but greatly enjoyed our time with Mafi in Burien.  If we return to the Seattle area, we would hope to include aother stay here in Burien with Mafi.

Ella is such a sweet, quiet older dog. Absolutely lovely! And I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the trails behind the condo.

Caroline

Kenzo is an amazing dog! He's a big friendly gentle guy, and he's so easy to be with. He's really well behaved, he doesn't pull on the leash, or have any issues walking around, and he's great around other dogs. Kenzo has lots of friends in the neighborhood and he was a joy to spend time with! Caroline's house is really sweet, its reminiscent of a country cottage with a nice private backyard. The neighborhood is lively and fun, with a weekend street fair, and it has everything that you could need within a few blocks. It's a great walking neighborhood. Caroline was kind and generous, and she was really helpful with suggestions of good places to go eat, food shop, etc. in the area. She was always available and responded quickly to any questions that I had. I would go back to Brooklyn and stay with Kenzo anytime!

Robin

It was a pleasure to housesit for Robin! She was very communicative with me throughout the stay. Thanda was sweet and a joy to be around. The neighborhood was very peaceful and the people were very friendly.
