Bailey and Ru were adorable and so so so sweet, low maintenance and well behaved. Ricks home was beautiful.
This sit was rad! I loved the pups, the house, the neighborhood, the hospitality! Matthew was above and beyond welcoming and took the time to get me set up for success. His house has an AMAZING wrap around deck and is surrounded by trees and foliage, I loved hanging out there with coffee, a book, or while eating a meal. The dogs were sweet and lovely. He told me Katie could be a little unpredictable with other dogs but she was good for the whole nine days so it must be pretty rare. They are both really friendly and loving; but be warned that Bennie is already your best friend and will be by your side like velcro! Super fun sweet guy! The neighborhood is Echo Park so lots of cafes, restaurants, shopping, etc. There is a great all natural market a few blocks away and a Von's a couple more blocks away. All good for walking. I would sit for this family again anytime!
Pike was an absolute joy to look after and Craig and Julianna made our stay incredibly easy and comfortable. Communication was a breeze and Pike was content hanging out, going for walks, and having a cuddle and a play. Pike was also wonderful with our two and a half year old who absolutely adored her. We had a great weekend!
The housesit of a lifetime! I hadn’t been to New York City before so it was a dream to housesit for Juliet and David. They were friendly, helpful and welcoming - making me feel really comfortable from the first chat. Darwin is an absolute sweetie (I miss him!), fantastic company and certainly made me feel really safe. Kit Kat kept her distance for a day or two but then graced my lap with her green-eyed presence. Arthur the bunny is the absolute cutest - a slow, kind approach had him out and about the apartment. Juliet and David’s place is very roomy for a one-bed, has lots of character, located in a friendly building in a great little neighbourhood - fabulous delis and cafes nearby and the subway is an easy walk. Thank you, Juliet and David! Highly recommended sit!
Lucy and George are a lovely couple; they couldn't have been more friendly and hospitable. The senior dogs are just as lovely, and very sprightly for their ages. They still enjoy twice daily walks in the surrounding countryside. The amazing house is very comfortable and well-heated, with a well-equipped kitchen and lovely art work. We'd like to say it was great to use the swimming pool but it was still a bit cool in mid May for us! We'd be more than happy to come back and sit again.
Barbara is the most welcoming person I have ever met. She is super lovely and a great company. Lisa is shy, but once you get her outside she lightens up and becomes the happiest kid on the block. Taking care of her was very simple and Barbara’s instructions were clear and simple. The house is cosy and very conveniently close to an Aldi and the park. I worked from the house almost all days and the internet was good. I loved my stay!
