10 stars for Kathleen! She was absolutely the perfect sitter for Finnr. Finn is timid at times and has not been left without us often, so I was very particular who I chose to look after him for the long weekend. When Kathleen met him for the first time, she went right on her hands and knees to get him comfortable. She knew everything to do to help bring him out of his shell and get him to trust her. She was organized and very conscientious. She made sure to take notes and ask all relevant questions before we left. I received updates everyday and beautiful pics of her and Finn having a blast walking the streets of NYC. Finn adored her and I could see when we returned how much she cared about Finn... and it made me a bit sad that he would not be seeing her again for a while. I think her background as a pediatric nurse also gives her a special quality in caring for animals. She of course also was also a perfect house guest as well. Our home was tip-top when we returned home. We have already made plans for her to hopefully return to sit for us in the Fall. She was the best!
This was the first sit we've had, where we have invited the sitters to stay with us the night before, because we had such an early flight, that there would have been no way to do a handover, unless in the middle of the night! That meant we got to spend time with Jonna and Max; had dinner with them and took them on a dog walk. They are such a lovely, interesting couple and it was great to get to know them and hear stories of their travels. We felt completely comfortable leaving our 3 dogs and home with them. They communicated well before the sit to work with us to arrange a suitable time for them to arrive and during the sit I got updates from Jonna too. I could tell she really cared about our dogs' wellbeing, as she was messaging me throughout the sit when she was concerned one of our dogs was off her food. She had already tried to encourage her to eat before contacting us too. We could tell that the dogs loved them as they were still sitting on their knees right until they had to leave. Jonna also went above and beyond and changed our little girl into her swimming costume for her lesson! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them for a house-sit - we came home to a clean house and well cared for dogs. Thank you!
