Angela and Denisse really saved us. We thought we had a housesitter and then received an email from the site saying that there was a problem with our original choice -- two days before we were supposed to go on vacation. We reposted, and happily Angela saw our listing, and we quickly set up a meeting with her and decided to take a chance with her and Denisse. It was a perfect match. We have three rescue animals, a dog and two cats. One of our cats is so fearful, he usually hides in the garage for most if not all of our trips. On day two, he made an appearance with them. We got lots of photos of happy, unstressed animals, which for us is the main reason why we want someone to house sit. She reached out regularly with updates, which was very much appreciated. Nothing was broken, which can happen with normal wear and tear, and also unprecedented. Everything was neat and orderly when we returned, and Angela even reached out when she hadn't heard from us because of traffic delaying us on our way home. I can't recommend them enough for being caring to our animals and considerate of our house. This was such a rushed reservation, but after meeting Angela I had a very good feeling and the photos confirmed they were kind to our animals and respectful. They were truly delightful to have stay, and I would highly recommend them both as housesitters.

Marlowe took great care of our dogs and house. The dogs were well taken care of and the house was spotless on our return. I highly recommend her for your sit.

Kendall
Everything about our experience was a true 10/10. Kendall was very kind, communicative and gave excellent, clear and through instructions which is always a big plus with a house/pet sit. That all made this sit super easeful. Plus, we fell in love with Gracie and Pip - they each take a little time to warm up, but once they did, they were the sweetest little loves. This felt like such a relaxing mountain getaway - Edgewood is a true gem and Kendall's place is so aesthetically pleasing to boot. We can't wait to come back!

Caroline
Jon and I had a fantastic time at Carolines looking after the cats they were lovely to care for. Odiham is a fabulous and we enjoyed the local restaurants. There are lots of villages and sites to see in and around Hampshire. Caroline gave us clear instructions and communication was quick and easy. I'd highly recommend doing a sit in this beautiful house and location with the added benefit of a little company from furry friends.

Austin
Austin, the owner is a kind and caring person and it's obvious that he loves his animals very much. He is also very thoughtful and great at communicating if any questions arose, even though he was overseas.

The two young cats are a delight, each with unique personalities and likes. They play well together and love their human caregivers, playtime challenges/chasing their mouse on the string, some long naps and their outside time in the catio that they share with the two African Tortoises. If you're patient in getting to know all of them, you will smile everyday and reap the rewards. The tortoises are gentle and easy to care for.

Austin also lives in a great, prime and easy, central location, though on a quiet, private small street. There is super easy access to all directions and amenities (near large Udall park for Pickleball, tennis, walking, has a pool etc.) and Trader Joes is just a few minutes from his home, Sprouts grocer is not much further. Downtown and Sabino Canyon hiking are about 15 minutes away.

The home is all on one level, making it easy to live in and to care for and the King bed was comfortable. The back master shower, has great water pressure and one of the best we've experienced. The Master bath also has an overhead ceiling heater, you can turn on temporarily. The AC/Heater works wonderfully too for an older house and heats up in a few minutes (to the point where you can easily turn it down or off again, very nice).

When we were there, Austin had a renter (a working nurse) in a property in the back, separated by a yard with flowering trees (we never heard her). She was quiet and respectful and it was easy to share the laundry with her every 8 to 10 days or so. She'd respectfully text us 24 hours ahead to ask and we'd unlock the door to the laundry room attached to the main house, for a few hours. Super easy.

We truly enjoyed caring for Austin's animals and felt welcomed and appreciated throughout. We both felt very comfortable there (the pets and Austin are the best), and we would certainly recommend this sit and sit for him again. We already miss his amazing sweet little cats. : )

Jean
Jean and Mic were fabulous hosts that did everything possible to make my time comfortable and enjoyable. They left clear instructions for taking care of the cats and all of their personalities. Since they are semi feral it look some time and all but one came around. One ended up sleeping with me but not sure if that is because she figured out she could wake me up earlier to get fed. I fell in love with the area as anyone would. I plan to return with or without a sit.

Samantha
Sam was so welcoming and friendly, there was plenty of communication before and during our sit and she even left us wine and champagne for New Year's Eve! Cleo was a delight to look after - a bit shy to start with but she warmed up to us. She did enjoy some playtime chasing her cat toys and lots of strokes and face rubs. This was a great sit and we'd happily return.

Beverly
Our sit in Nicaragua at Joe and Beverly’s place is one we won’t be forgetting any time soon.

Joe and Beverly were incredibly welcoming and made sure we were comfortable during our stay. They truly have carved out their own little slice of heaven on Mombacho.

We had a blast taking care of Mattie, Yoda, and Lilly. We miss them all already.

Mattie is a big baby who loves to play tug-of-war and run around with you. She doesn’t have a violent bone in her body, even though her growl might make you think otherwise. We learned it’s her way of expressing gratitude for being petted.

Yoda is an expressive talker, and he’ll will let you know what’s on his mind. He’s the first to let you know if someone is at the gate, but loves to cuddle and feel protected.

Lilly likes to mostly do her own thing, but really started warming up to us more after a week or two. She enjoys being petted on her own terms - she’ll let you know when - especially so when she’s eating. We often felt like she would wait to eat until we would pet her next to her dish.

Everyone we met while in Nicaragua was so kind to us. We feel like we've made good friends and got to experience the country in a way many travelers just passing through don't.

Joe and Beverly: thanks for trusting us with your kids and giving us the opportunity to experience Nicaragua. It's an incredible country that we really had underestimated.

We highly recommend applying for this sit, especially if you enjoy being surrounded by nature and getting to know the locals. We’d go back in a heartbeat.
