This was a unique petsit compared to the other petsits I’ve had on TH in the past and to be honest I think this pet is better suited for a routine dog sitter that is not a stranger to his quirks. Pros- great house, great location for Saint Augustine and Jacksonville and nice hosts that are easy to communicate with Cons- Thor is very sensitive to his triggers where he can become aggressive and seemed like he was about to bite me. Gessyka did say that he was sensitive to certain things (touching his paw or being near his food) but I was not aware that he would become aggressive and do not try to intentionally touch his paw but he was trying to cuddle on the couch with me and must have touched it… I also was told he steals underwear and socks and left my suitcase on the floor of my room and when I didnt close the door completely to my room he ate my underwear and swallowed one whole which is a horrible situation for a dog and I felt so bad. Had i been made totally aware that he eats items and I absolutely must put clothes in the dresser or zipped away in my suitcase I would have done so. Again, i think this petsit is not ideal for a home exchange platform and best to hire a sitter.
Comfortable house and friendly pets who were quiet, well-behaved, and easy to care for. Lola is a very sweet dog. I enjoyed my time there!
Angelika and Robert greeted me into their beautiful home and gave me a through tour with detailed instructions for every appliance, thermostat and lighting system. They were very responsive to any questions that came up during my stay. Their home has a great back yard, screened porch and garden with many flowers, vegetables and a hot tub which I throughly enjoyed. It is in a lovely neighborhood that has close access to the beach and grocery shopping. Of course the most delightful part of their home was getting to hang out with Schnuggl the Snuggle Queen! I would be delighted and honored to repeat my delightful visit!
