Frances and Erik were amazing!! They took excellent loving care of Cosmo, including hikes, long walks and snuggles. They were excellent communicators, as well as adaptable, friendly and considerate. They were a complete pleasure to have at our place. I felt very comfortable while I was on vacation knowing they were taking care of everything, including the chickens, the house, and of course, Cosmo. I highly recommend them for a sit and hope they can come sit for me again someday.
I had an overall amazing experience house-sitting at Kelly’s place. Ruby, Peggy Sue, and Bobby were a pleasure to care for, each with their own strong personalities. Bobby, the independent cat, was often out and about but always returned for food and a cuddle. Ruby and Peggy Sue were an absolute delight to be around; we went on daily walks in Beckenham’s beautiful parks, played together, and I spent all day, every day with them. They’re funny, adorable, and loving companions. The house itself was a smart home and comfortable to be in, though there was quite a bit of noise from ongoing office construction in the garden. Kelly had been upfront about this beforehand, which I appreciated. On the last day, I made sure to spend a lot of time cleaning the house—I vacuumed and mopped the floors, wanting to leave everything in good order. However, when Kelly arrived, she expressed dissatisfaction with the cleanliness, which was really disheartening. I had genuinely done my best, and it was disappointing to realise that despite pouring so much energy into making sure the pets were happy and the home was well-kept, it’s sometimes just impossible to please everyone. This experience was a turning point for me. While it’s been an incredible journey overall, it made me realise that no matter how hard you try, some people will never be fully satisfied. I’ve decided to step back from house-sitting, but I’m grateful for what this experience has taught me—not just about caring for animals, but about the challenges of trying to meet others’ expectations.
It was a pleasure to live with Loki in Pacific Beach, he is an educated guy and he knows how to do different tricks. Our time at the dog park was great and the love of the beach is undeniable. Thanks Eddie and Loki
Cyrus really is the Great one. What a gorgeous boy. He's such a character. Although the sit was only a short one, we thoroughly enjoy getting to know this delightful boy. Thankyou Wallis and Jack for sharing him with us. We really enjoyed exploring your very interesting neighborhood and the house was so stylish and very comfortable. Thankyou also for the good communication and for making us feel so welcome. We'd love to return anytime our diaries coincide.
We so enjoyed our sit with Roxie, she is delightful and so sweet. As others have said she takes a little time to totally relax and come sit with you but when she does you feel honoured. She is chatty, will tell you when it is food time and loves being brushed and sitting on the balcony watching the world go by. We had great communication with Judy and Chris, before, during and after the sit. Due to Covid we all took extra precautions when we met and this worked great. They have a comprehensive house manual and a well equipped, clean, comfortable condo in a great location for enjoying the resort town of Penticton. We would love to return.
This sit was fabulous. Animals were easy and fun to be around. Claudia did an exceptional preparation for us to feel confident and welcomed in their home. The house was immaculate and she fed us dinner the evening before. Highly recommend the sit to anyone. Gorgeous area too
I had a wonderful experience at Silvi’s place. The house and garden were so big. A perfect place to relax and play with Dora. I also enjoyed how easily accessable the forrest was from Silvi’s house - A very magical place just outside the city center. Dora is a very playful dog with lots of energy but still great at taking commands. Also the chickens were fun to watch and didnt need to much surveillance. Silvi and Hajo as hosts were so friendly and fun to hang out with. I even got to use Silvi’s e-bike which made the experience even richer. I’m really grateful for my time spent at their place.
