Electra was truly great. She was extremely lovable toward my sweet boy and showed him tons of affection. I came home to a clean house which is a big one for me. And she was also very independent and wise. She knows what she's doing!
Ari is a sweet, kind young woman and took good care of our dogs while we were away. Our dogs all seemed to love her, and she has a very positive and loving soul. I wish I could leave a completely positive review, but we do feel some lines were crossed during her stay. Our dogs were overall well taken care of, however there were some nights she stayed out very late (~3am) and the dogs had not gone outside for 8+ hours. We let her to drive our (brand new) car and said she could take it anywhere but if she wanted to go into downtown Seattle please take the bus. This is because the city can be overwhelming and dangerous to drive when unfamiliar and in a new car. We showed her where to get the bus, how to get tickets, etc. She ended up driving into the city many times, racking up significant tolls going into Seattle, and parking our car in the most unsafe areas of the city in the middle of the night. She also drove strangers around after meeting them at a bar. Perhaps we were not clear enough with our boundaries, which is something we will work on next time. We told her she could use our winter coats because it is cold and she didn’t have any. Instead, she decided to wear a significant amount of my personal clothing, some of which was brand new. Most concerningly, she brought an apparent random male over to our house one night. We are certainly not ok with strangers being at our house without being asked first. I gave her privacy during her stay and didn’t look at our front door camera, but upon returning home and realizing some lines were crossed, I looked at the camera and was shocked to find she brought a stranger over. While we are grateful that our dogs were happy, walked, and well loved with her, we believe there was a lack of respect for our things and while we wish all the best for her, we would unfortunately not ask her to housesit for us again.
