We had a great stay at Sally's house watching over Bella! Bella is a sweet and very smart dog. She loves to take long walks and is trained to walk off the leash in the local parks. She gets especially excited when the lead comes out and announces to everyone she's ready to go! Bella can get a bit barky sometimes with other pups, but we didn't have any issues. She loves her belly rubbed, chasing after rabbits and lounging on the sofa with you in the evening. If you invite her up, she will cuddle with you in bed, but she's polite and won't just jump up. She's very well trained and a delight to sit. Sally's house is a gorgeous converted barn in the English countryside. It's about a twenty minute walk into the town of Ampthill, which is a lovely English market town with several pubs, some good Indian food, and friendly locals. Check out the small farmer's market on Saturday in the square for deals on fruit and veggies! The house is comfortable and the kitchen is a dream to cook in, plus the garden out back is wonderful for relaxing and watching the sunsets as well as enjoying the view of the fields. We enjoyed our walks around in the nearby woods, the beautiful Ampthill Great Park and the various public footpaths through the countryside and neighboring farms. It was a truly relaxing housesit if you are looking for peace and quiet. Sally was easy to communicate with throughout the sit. She picked us up at the local train station the day before she left and welcomed us with a yummy home-cooked dinner as well as showed us around the town. If we are in the United Kingdom again, we would love to sit here again! It was a great experience.
This was our first time looking after little Sophie, we had a lovely warm welcome from Tracey and her house was so relaxing to stay at with a super comfy bed, we also loved relaxing in front of the toasty wood burner with Sophie stretched out in front of us. Tracey very easy to get in touch with and had clear communication on the workings of the house with a organised folder at hand. Bradford on Avon is a beautiful little town and very well connected with the train station a 15 minute walk away, we are looking forward to our next sit with Sophie, thanks so much Tracey
I think so far Kadee has been my favorite sit. Carolyn was very communicative and responsive even though her trip took her to the other side of the world. The area, neighborhood and house were all beautiful and Kadee was a very good girl. I highly recommend sitting for them and I hope to do so again!
This is an extremely rural sit, the barns & house are several miles from shops & bars & restaurants bit this is what makes it a perfect sit if looking for tranquility! The lanes are excellent for cycling & there is a perfect swimming lake 30 mins cycle away. The cats are loving & well behaved although we’d been warned about Kenny possibly leaving his mark, which he did, but it was easily sponged away!!
We had an amazing time with Tilly and Florence, they were adorable cloudy angels. Alice left clear instructions and everything went smoothly while staying at their wonderful house.
Sitting for Peggy, Tom and Stella was a pure delight. Stella is a real character and kept us amused the whole time we were there. Peggy and Tom are great to deal with and their home is stunning. Peggy gave us great information about Stella, and also on their favorite restaurants and places to see. It made the whole sit so enjoyable. This is absolutely our favorite sit so far. You'll be fortunate if you have the opportunity to sit for Stella.
