Alicia and Topcho are great to sit for. I appreciate that she took the time to walk through the apartment with me to make sure I understood everything. Her welcome guide is very detailed and has great recommendations to make sure you have a fun sit. Topcho is just as easy and sweet as she describes him as.
Netty and Hans were easy to communicate with and their home is situated in a lovely setting. They graciously welcomed us the night before with a lovely dinner and it was great to get to know them and Smudge before they headed off on their travels. We walked Smudge twice with them as they showed us the local area. Smudge is playful, well behaved and energetic and very easy to take care of. We were surprised for a one-year-old just how easy the bedtime routine was. Smudge provides lots of fun and amusement and is a delight to look after. His happy place is down on the local beach. Their home is very comfortable, within easy walking distance to shops, cafes and restaurants many of which are dog friendly. We highly recommend this sit.
My family stayed at Thea and Scott's lovely Seattle home for a long weekend. Their home is gorgeous and full of love and history. Scott & Thea invited us to their home ahead of time to meet them and get the full tour. We felt so welcomed! When the time came for our housesit, Thea had a thorough 6-page write up waiting there full of instructions for the care of the animals and our comfort in their home. Her instructions were so helpful and we kept in contact throughout the 4 days that we were there through text messaging. She was always available if we had any questions. Poppy and Scout are both lovely pets. Poppy, the dog, lives in the downstairs of the home, and Scout, the cat, lives upstairs. The two do not get along, but their home is designed for easy separation and the animals are used to the arrangement. Poppy requires a daily walk around the neighborhood and she is an absolute pleasure to take outside. She doesn't pull at the leash at all and is friendly to anybody that approaches her. Only occasionally, she will bark at other dogs that she sees while on walks. She also barks at squirrels which taunt her through the windows in the home. Both Poppy and Scout were great with our kids (ages 5 and 9) and loved to play with them throughout the day. Scott & Thea also have a small flock of chickens which are kept in a nice coop in the back yard. The fresh eggs were lovely and the chickens are easy to care for. We loved our weekend in Seattle and would love to housesit for Thea and Scott again. Highly recommend!
This sit is situated close to a splendid park ,with river walks near by too ! The cats are quite charming and easy to care for. The home is comfy but not precious, with all mod cons. Jax and Alec make you feel very much at home and welcome into their space, Just a word of caution though to those with mobility difficulties, the stairs in the house do not possess a handrail. York is surely one of the most beautiful cities in the U.K. steepled in history, full of splendid buildings ,delightful to view on foot because of its size ! All in all a joyful experience so thanks Jax and Alec. James
This was one of my favorite sits ever! From the start, Amber was communicative and helpful in preparing me with best transport from the airport, things to do while in Milan, and introducing me to a friend of hers at dinner the first night. We kept in touch throughout the sit with daily pics and reports. Her condo was clean, comfortable and safe, and a short walk to the Central Station, where I could catch the metro or train for getting around the city or for short day trips to Verona, Lake Como, and others - lots to see and do! Now, for the kitties! I absolutely fell in love with both Bailey and India! Bailey, a purring machine, was a total cuddle bug, who loved to perch on my head and shoulders every time I sat on the sofa. And sweet India, who was shy at first, but warmed up to me as soon as I started grooming her luxurious fur coat. They were wonderful companions for 3 weeks and I will never forget them! Thanks Amber, for trusting me with your precious fur babies and your home. XO
Amazing experience with Marx. He is such lovely and intelligent dog, very easy to understand him. He is well trained. From the second day I let him run without leash and it was easy to get him back. Marx is very friendly with other dogs. Mari and Joao are very kind couple. They explained everything and if we needed something response was quick. Apartment is very cozy and warm, in a very quiet area. Everything is near by - shops as Aldi, Nahkauf, Penny, Netto, and cafes, bus stops, DHL and etc.
