We had the best time looking after Frida and Henry. They we the best, taking Frida on walks was super relaxing, she loved meeting new people. Henry needed some time to warm up to us, but after two days he came around and requested lots of cuddles. We‘ll miss having those two around.
James and Emma were super welcoming and we loved their house. Would always come back! Thanks to the four of you! :)

It was my pleasure to look after Tina and Daves beautiful home, I really got to live out my British suburban dreams. They were so welcoming and left clear easy to follow guidelines. They are in a great location and I could easily walk to the shops and station.
Their fur babies all have their own unique sweet personalities which I loved getting to know over the week. I would happily sit for them again anytime!

Bob is a beautiful, independent cat. He is busy coming and going thru his cat door. He has a large lovely garden to patrol. When he would return, he came for pets and snuggles sitting on my lap. I was happy to return to him after a days explorations.
The home is bright, comfortable and attractive in everyway.
Peter and Gillian are interesting, talkative, relaxed people with interests.

I was here for a 10-week sit and came in a day early to meet Laurie. She is an experienced member of THS and knows what is important to tell her sitters about her home and Enzo. I loved that Laurie had everything written down and gave me a thorough tour as well.

Laurie’s home is exactly as pictured, perfect for one person or a couple. I never lacked for anything while there, with an especially well-stocked kitchen, fluffy towels and comfy bed! She even asked my favorite soft drink and made sure to have that, coffee and milk for my arrival.

I was there in late summer and there was indeed a hurricane evacuation in St. Pete. But Laurie’s neighborhood has one of the highest elevations in the area and is in a no-evacuation zone! I felt completely safe with an eye on the news and some sensible preparation, like having water and a lantern. The lights never even flickered, and Enzo and I were cozy and safe.

About St.Pete: You will need a car, as public transit exists here, but is not far-reaching or frequent enough to get you everywhere. I took Enzo to the Fort Deposit Dog Beach (off-leash is ok!) several times and he is great in the car. You will be under 10 minutes from Beach Drive, which is a long stretch of quirky shops and wonderful restaurants downtown, just one block off the beach. About 2 minutes from Laurie’s house are two world-class (seriously…look them up) shops: Mazarro’s Italian Market and Banana’s Records. The Dali Museum, Boyd Hill Nature Preserve, Tropicana Field and the Central Arts District are also nearby. You can find something fun to do or see every day, whether you are into beaches and nature, food and drink, or the arts. Too much to list; let Google be your guide.

The historic neighborhood of North Kenwood is VERY quiet, with residents young and old, families as well as singles, and lots of dog walkers to meet. I felt safe there at all hours, and even walked Enzo a couple of times after dusk with no worries. Laurie has handyman connections nearby if required (Sam came from 2 doors down to fix a minor issue while I was there) and can even set you up with a hair stylist and masseuse if you like.

The neighborhood is flat (being Florida) and well-lit with sidewalks on 80% of the streets. Laurie provides the poo bags…you must pick up what Enzo leaves!

You will fall in love with Enzo, arguably the best part of this top-shelf sit. He is loving and obedient, so well-trained that he actually won’t cross in front of you. I noticed this when feeding him…he will not step forward to eat until you have passed! He is wonderful on the leash and most of the time there was slack in the leash because he was right beside me.

Bottom line: Enzo is the best boy ever and this house is an absolute dream in a quiet, friendly neighborhood. It is a sought-after sit for good reason, and I hope Laurie and Enzo will allow me to return soon. Thank you for a lovely summer!

I spent ten wonderfully peaceful days pet-sitting for Alfie and Billy, who are both easy-going and easily lovable. The property is top-notch (sadly it was too cold to use the pool) and located in a beautiful region of France. I did fine without a car - I was seeking peace and quiet for writing and meditation - but some people might find it isolating. I would petsit for Alfie and Billy again in a heartbeat.

‘Chill Zone’
A relaxing and rewarding petsit in a home that is perfect for enjoying the tropics. Kate and Cheryl have created peaceful and comfortable spaces in their gorgeous home.
Tink and Sass are sweet and no trouble at all. Bramble is a good girl and wonderful company.
I was given a warm welcome by hosts and a lot of thought had gone into preparation for the sit.
Delightful dogs and home!
I recommend!
