Zeinab and Allan were really nice and took good care of our dog while we were gone for a long weekend. From what we can tell they never left him longer than we had requested which is most important to us and they day we were departing he vomited and I didn’t have time to get him chicken to go with his rice to help settle his stomach and they were kind enough to get him some and when I offered to pay they refused which was not expected but very kind! That being said, it seems like he didn’t get his full length of daily walks while we were gone and the biggest disappointment was when we came home our kitchen and living room floors were very dirty. Which was surprising because we have a robot vacuum that runs daily and had the house professionally cleaned before we left. Turns out the vacuum got jostled off the charger (it was working the morning we left…so that was strange) so it never ran (they didn’t mention this to us or seem to know where it was located in an obvious spot in the living room when I asked upon our return). The kitchen floors were left sticky like something had been spilled and never cleaned up. It’s not a major thing just a bummer to come back from a long trip and have to clean your own home that you left in great condition and we had discussed cleaning in our video call as well as during the hand over (as sitters ourselves we know departure day is almost all cleaning). They did wash sheets/towels and even put them on the guest bed which was very helpful! I had only asked the put them in the wash and if they had time to run it. So all and all I would recommend but be very detailed about expectations and pointing out where all cleaning tools and items are located for a more enjoyable exchange for both parties.
We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter! I’m so happy Ruba was able to sit for us. This was our second time using zeewoi, and she definitely instilled confidence in using the app again. She made us feel comfortable leaving our cats and home in her hands. We were super impressed with her knowledge about cats and her attention to detail when it came to taking care of them. She went above and beyond giving each cat the love and attention they needed and sent us a couple pictures of each of them daily. She also made sure everything in the apartment was in good shape. She offered to bring in any mail and even took great care watering our plants. Needless to say we came back home to very happy kitties and a very clean home. She even left us some treats to come home to! We hope Ruba will be able to sit for us in the again in the future.
