Holly and Chris were great! They were super accommodating and communicative. Their dog Nugget is a sweetheart, I'd highly recommend sitting for them!

Beautiful setting for Christmas and New Year!

This was our second longest sit to date (six weeks) and included the Christmas and New Year period. Chris and Caroline’s house is beautiful and situated in a quiet lane in a lovely Hampshire village with easy access to the towns of Alton and Odiham with Basingstoke only 20 minutes away if you need bigger shops, cinema etc.

Chris and Caroline made us feel extremely welcome and had even gone to the trouble of putting up a Christmas tree and decorations for us. The house is extremely comfortable, well equipped and easy to live in and maintain. We were given a choice of bedrooms, bathrooms and offices to use which made our time there even easier.

Cara is a lovely placid dog - very happy to potter around the house and garden with you but also enjoys lots of sniffing around and digging when you’re out and about in the woods and fields. She’s completely adorable and loves to lie at your feet if you’re relaxing in front of the TV or open fire.

Pedro is a one year old giant absolutely full of love, character and energy and he so enjoyed himself running free chasing rabbits, birds and helicopters! There were days when even after three hours of free running you could tell he could have done three more 😂. Despite being so energetic, he also loves nothing more than a cuddle and an evening snooze in his bean bags.

Both dogs loved going in the car which was great as it meant we could take them further afield for walks and have no concerns about leaving them for too long when we needed shopping.

There were a couple of issues with the heating but these were promptly resolved with excellent communication from Chris and Caroline throughout.

Pedro had an operation a week or so before we arrived and required some return visits to the vet - again these ran smoothly thanks to Chris and Caroline’s detailed organisation before we arrived.

Both dogs stole our hearts within hours and that didn’t change. This sit is absolutely perfect for an active couple that like exploring, but you do need the energy to keep up with Pedro and I would suggest your own transport is essential if staying more than a few days so you can explore the wider area.

Thank you Chris and Caroline for everything and we look forward to meeting up with you soon as we’ve already discussed 🙂.

Take care and wishing you all the very best,

Ali & Mat xx
