We had such an amazing time looking after 6 month old Fig. She is very well behaved and smart. Fig enjoyed lots of cuddles, as did we! Emma & Henry were very welcoming and provided us with a very in-depth welcome guide which made it very easy to care for Fig. Their gorgeous house is in a lovely area with lots of local walks to take Fig on. Sherry & Mic are generous and friendly hosts whose dogs, Lani & Kobi, reflect well on their owners’ care, being well behaved, friendly and eager to please. We found sitting for them a pleasure and not at all onerous. The house is comfortable and the local environs offering excellent options for recreation and shopping. The train line is also within a short walk for trips into the city.
I had an great experience house and pet sitting for Jewell in Oakland, CA. Chauncey, the standard poodle, was an absolute joy; well behaved, responsive to training, and a fun companion on long walks and waterfront adventures. Taking care of the adorable bunny rabbit was a special treat for me, especially with the enthusiasm for treats and meals. Caring for Jewell's salt and freshwater fish was easy and added to the atmosphere of her home. Jewell was very kind, even allowing me to use her car. It was a pleasure to be part of such a welcoming environment.
A 5***** star experience. We recently had the pleasure of house and pet sitting in Stockbridge, and it was an absolute delight! Caring for the two precious cats Elizabeth and Ava in this beautiful home was a joy from start to finish. We were made to feel at home instantly by Bob and Lucy. It was evident that the homeowners took great pride in their property, as everything was impeccably maintained and styled.We spent many peaceful mornings in the beautifully landscaped gardens. The herb garden, colourful blooms, koi carp pond, and lush lawn created a quintessentially english country garden atmosphere. The views out to the wheatfields and barley fields were magnificent. Stockbridge is a charming village. We were able to explore and enjoy the surroundings and walks during our stay. Of course, the stars of the show were the two precious cats. They won our hearts with their charming personalities and adorable antics; Elizabeth loves nothing better than a good game of hide and seek! Caring for them was such a pleasure. Throughout our stay, we felt warmly welcomed and supported by the homeowners. They provided clear instructions and ensured that we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. They kept in touch throughout our stay and answered any questions we had on Whatsapp. This house and pet sit at Lucy and Bob’s house in Stockbridge was truly smashing and stands out as our favourite home so far. The perfect location, fabulous house and gardens, and the presence of the adorable cats made it a great experience. We would eagerly jump at the chance to return in the future. Gemma and Ruby are the most adorable and gentle cats. Shortly after our arrival they came to greet us and started chatting and purring. By evening we had them both lying next to us on the sofa and Ruby soon became a lap cat :-) Ruby is young and playful and super cuddly, funny and curious. Gemma is an older lady, still going strong, who loves to be around following the activities in the kitchen from a good central position on the kitchen counter :-) She is so gentle and talkative and loves to be stroked. Communication with Katherine was easy and straightforward throughout. Our flight arrived a couple of days before Katherine and her lovely family left on holiday, and we were offered to stay in the flat downstairs for the first two nights. Katherine even picked us up at the bus station in Marbella late at night and had filled the fridge with bread, milk and butter and left a welcome bottle of wine. Katherine and her lovely daughter gave us a thorough tour around the house making sure that we would be comfortable and able to find everything. The house is spacious with several bedrooms and bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a living room with a large tv with access to countless channels and movies. The house and lovely garden backs onto a beautiful golf park surrounded by the hills of El Paraiso. The view from the house towards the mountains is so beautiful and sunsets are breathtaking. It is a lovely and quiet residential neighborhood with a lush vegetation and friendly neighbors - a wonderful place to relax and come home to after half day excursions to the beach or one of the charming towns of Marbella, San Pedro de Alcantara, Estepona and Benahavis - all within a 15 minute drive. Shopping and getting around was made easy by generously letting us use the family car. Wow, what a bonus. It was hard to leave this beautiful area and the mild December climate! We miss the company of Gemma and Ruby while treasuring the beautiful memories and the connection we made with them. Thank you Katherine.
We had a wonderful time house and pet-sitting for Deb and Troy! Their dog Aspen is very easy-going and got used to us quickly. We had a great time walking/hiking with her and playing with her and her “log” around the yard. She was very sweet, easy to care for, and we’ll miss her! Deb and Troy have a beautiful house with many great amenities, especially for people who are active. From them beginning, the communication was excellent and Deb and Troy were extremely hospitable. We had a very pleasant pre-sit video call, they left very clear instructions and a welcome packet, and we were in touch throughout the stay to give updates as needed. We felt very welcomed throughout our stay; there were even cookies when we arrived! We would gladly housesit again if the opportunity came up!
