We had the most wonderful time during our stay at this lovely house in Surbiton. Taking care of Charlie, the adorable furry friend, was an absolute joy. He provided us with great company throughout our entire stay. We particularly enjoyed our walks around the neighborhood, especially on those sunny days. Marike, the homeowner, was incredibly attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Her thoughtfulness was evident in every interaction. The house itself was beautiful and cozy, providing us with a comfortable retreat. We were delighted to find that they had kindly offered us the use of their coffee machine. This gesture was truly heartwarming, and we savored every cup of delicious coffee we made. We highly recommend this house for anyone looking to have a lovely and memorable time in Surbiton. They give lots of photo, video and verbal updates at the end of the day. My dog loves going to daycare each week and leaves happy and very tired. Highly recommend!!

Our dog, Finch, was cared for here three or four days a week for two years. It is by far the best dog daycare we have come across. The staff are fantastic and really seem to love the dogs. The dogs all seem so calm and, well, ‘content’!
Roxy our schnoodle goes once a week and has a blast every time. The staff are fantastic and it's reasonably priced. Highly recommend but be aware its for smaller dogs.
I can’t speak highly enough of the Contented Canine! My dog Clover absolutely loves going and the staff are amazing. Clover can be quite shy around new people if I’m not there but from her first day there she has loved and been completely comfortable with the staff. Going to daycare at the Contented Canine is the highlight of her week, and given the choice I’m not sure she would ever want to come home. It’s helped Clover get comfortable around other dogs and she now sees all dog we meet as new friends to have fun with. The staff have been so lovely and accommodating with me too, allowing me to add in hours or days when I’ve needed too. I would absolutely recommend the Contented Canine to anyone with a small dog. I’m so grateful that I found it for Clover and couldn’t be happier with it.
Bo just arrived home after his 3rd day in 3 weeks at Contented Canine. Tired and happy. He loves playing with the dogs as he has always been shy. Getting more confident every visit. Totally recommend.
My puppy and I went to Contented Canine for a puppy play group. The facility was lovely and clean, and well set up. The staff were friendly and kind and clearly knowledgeable about puppies.
My dog loves it there. It is a positive experience for him and as a result he is great with other dogs. He is happy and tired at the end of the day.

Just wanting to say a huge thank you to Nikki and the whole team at the Daycare and Spa. We have been sending our various dogs there twice a week for three years now and our dogs can't wait to get out of the car and into their home away from home. It is such a relief knowing they are well looked after. The super friendly atmosphere, genuine job enthusiasm, expertise and experience are simply awesome. High five team!!
The Dog Spa used to be very good a few years back, but in my experience the service they provide now is rushed and of poor quality. They are so busy that there is barely time for a chat on drop off. I took my mini schnauzer in for a groom - he came back with eyebrows and an untouched beard. The rest of his body was shorn much like a sheep. No allowances for the style of the breed even after I'd had the discussion with the groomer that I was after a mini schnauzer style cut. Definitely would not recommend The Dog Spa.
Biggest thanks to all the staff. So kind of you to squeeze my two dogs into doggy day care and grooming today. They came home beautiful and tired and told me they had a great time. What a professional outfit. I was super impressed.
The dog spa does an amazing job grooming our retrodoodle Herman. He always smells incredible for a whole week after visiting. He is always happy to go in & the staff are incredibly friendly! Highly reccomend

Always appreciate the detailed feedback on pickup with how visit went. You can do long or short visits. Definitely recommend to those who want the best experience for their dog/pup.

We've used the friendly and caring services of Abbeyblyth Kennels for about 2 years now and our dogs love going here! As any caring parent, the first couple of times we dropped them off we probably felt worse than they did - they didn't even look back as they were taken to their kennel! The first time we came, we were shown around where our dog would stay and play and this really helped put our minds at ease. We didn't like leaving our puppy home alone for too long so she would regularly go to day care at Abbeyblyth when she was younger and absolutely loved it. Now that we have an older dog we tend to only use them if we go away overnight and again he loves it too. The owners and staff are real animal people and the dogs recognise that. I have no hesitation in leaving our fur babies in their care and highly recommend their services.
Our dog Moose has now been for a few stays at Abbeyblyth and comes home incredibly happy. Each time we get a report from the staff on his time we discover who the other dogs he played with were and how he got on. The rotating packs that dogs are placed in offer him a variety of socialisation from older and slower dogs right to young puppies and he seems to love the variety of play combined with a set schedule that the team offers each day. We look forward to using Abbeyblyth for years to come and are grateful to the team for taking such good care of our doggo.
Our pup Fin stayed the night last weekend. We rang up at the last minute to book in as we were travelling from Christchurch for the weekend. The owners were so helpful, friendly and accommodating. The facility was lovely and clean and the price was much cheaper than our usual kennels. Was extremely impressed and wish they were our local kennels!! Thanks for all your help :-)
Just the best. Was in town for the day from the North Island, my pup stayed for the day and the service was the best I've ever experienced at kennels. My pup got a bit dirty and they offered to clean her up. The price was affordable and staff were friendly and looked after our needs perfectly. Thanks so much team. We have used the Purr-fect Retreat for our Snoopy boy for 9 years now. They're really good with the animals, and the rooms are cozy, large and some even have an outdoor space, guaranteed if your pet stays over 21 days. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone

My cats were very well loved during their stay. It is a homely set up with a great little play area for them to use each day. They looked very settled and content when we picked them up and had obviously gotten used to plenty of cuddles with Helen (owner).
