The surrounding area is beautiful with lots of lovely country walks and great transport links into Oxford. Karen’s home was very tidy and well equipped for us both working from home. The bed was also very comfortable. Hope we can sit again in the future!
Ruth and Alex are lovey people. From the moment we were accepted to sit the communication was fantastic. We organised a FaceTime call we was really pleasant. Ruth and Alex showed us around the house virtually so we had lots of information before we arrived. Ruth also sent through a comprehensive Welcome Pack the week before our sit. When we arrived at the sit the house was beautiful and the dogs Dexter and Stanley were just adorable. Both dogs were very easy to look after and very obedient on and off the lead. We even took them for a walk around the crowds in York and they behaved impeccably and got lots of attention form passers buy :-) If we are free in the future we will definitely apply for more sits as we had a really lovely time.
Well - what can we say? A great house sit on every level and a happy and successful experience for everyone involved. We loved every aspect, but particularly Tomi dog, who became a great friend and the total focus of our stay in a beautiful home in glorious surroundings. Doggy, house and garden information was comprehensive and easy to follow, allaying our apprehension at not meeting up with the family prior to our arrival. We were blown away by the variety of walks in woodland, heathland and on footpaths through open farmland with great views across the rolling hills. We walked early in the day to protect Tomi, as a heatwave had settled on the area. We took every precaution to keep Tomi safe and comfortable during this time, both on walks and back at the house. Right from our invitation, Sue was communicative, and helpful if we had any questions during our stay. We enjoyed our experience tremendously, and hope to keep in touch - perhaps even to return! Thank you so much Sue and family for giving us this opportunity, and Tomi dog for being such a great friend and companion during our stay.
Nathalie is one of the best house owners I have ever met, such a nice person! The house is beautiful and situated in a really good location, you'll have everything you need near you. Jack and Portia are really good cats and easy to look after. Portia is very communicative and she'll let you know exactly what she needs. Jack is more shy but very calm and sweet, once he feels comfortable with you he'll start asking for cuddles and sleeping with you 🥰 I had a really good experience, so highly recommend!
I absolutely loved every second of this sit! From the moment I met Emanuelle, she was very welcoming and informative. Her place was very clean and comfortable. Amira is the more social of the two, within a few days she was giving me lots of snuggles and affection. Sabrina became more confident however is not at the stage yet where she is comfortable with being stroked. Any future sitters will need to understand this. Patience and calmness is the key with these lovely cats. The flat was in an apartment close to CBD with beautiful views across the city. I would 100% look after them both again without hesitation.
The kitties were so lovely to watch. So sweet and easy to care for. The kitten had lots of energy and was a joy to play with. The apartment is absolutely gorgeous and very comfy. Abby and Gil left it very clean and left fantastic instructions of how to care for the cats and their home.
