Michelle and Rob were excellent house sitters. We had recently adopted a new kitty, Theo, a few months before we left our home for the winter. So, we were delighted at the great care they took in establishing a feeding routine, including tracking his weight, as he grew out of adolescence into adulthood. From the regular communications we received, usually accompanied by a photo or video of Theo’s progress and play, we had confidence that he was receiving great care. In every image he appeared to be supremely pleased with himself and his lot. Rob is a professional photographer and several of the Theo photos were like studio pictures of 1940s starlets! Regular communication was probably the best we have ever had. During the four-and-a-half-month-long house sit, some unexpected problems arose in the house that required attention. Michelle and Rob always notified us promptly. In some cases, they were able to deal with the problems themselves. In the others, we were able to coordinate fixes with them and repair people very smoothly. The house looked fabulous when we arrived home. Michelle and Rob’s house sit was definitely 5 stars! We would love to have them come back next year.

Marija and I spent more than 6 weeks in a bustling city of Saigon, taking care of Koji and Bambi. They are the most adorable and funniest cat duo with their very distinct personalities. Both are young and playful, often getting zoomies and entertaining us with their stunt performances. Bambi was a bit shy at the beginning, but quickly warmed up to us. She is a super sweet and independent girlie that likes to cuddle every once in a while but can play with her toys all the time. Koji, on the other hand, will frequently jump in your lap and demand pets. He snuggled with us in the bed almost every night! They both grew so close to our hearts that it was really hard to leave them at the end. Our hosts, Lynda and Youssef, are very generous and kind people who made us feel welcome in their home. They were always quick to respond to our messages and give us suggestions. They kindly left us their motorbike to use and they even paid for a cleaning service once a week. They genuinely wanted us to feel comfortable during our stay. The house is huge with many rooms. The best part was the kitchen, filled with all the equipment you could possibly need for cooking, baking, making smoothies, juices etc. We had so much fun in Saigon and spending time with Koji and Bambi, and we would definitely do it again.
