Steve and Karen have a beautiful home in the hillsides of Tennessee. The animals were always happy to have us around and the horses were easy to care for. My kids loved petting the chickens and collecting the eggs. Their town was close and had a lot to offer. We loved their local museum and had plenty of options for food and fun. We would love to come back and do this all over again!
I really enjoyed my house sit at Heather and Kevin's beautiful home in historic Guildford. Complete with gorgeous gardens, a swimming pool, fresh eggs every day from the 4 chickens, grapefruits right off the tree and herbs right off the plants. The highlight of course was spending lots of time with Franco, Sassy and Poppy. They are all SO adorable, and Franco is such a funny boy. I miss them and would love to come back again. Heather and Kevin are lovely hospitable people and provided everything I needed to know.
We had a wonderful week staying at the Johnsons beautiful, large country home looking after their gorgeous 1year old Labrador Phoebe. Phoebe - was an absolute pleasure to look after. She is such a loving and obedient dog. Phoebe walks beautifully both on the lead and off lead, she has an excellent recall. We had the best time walking through many countryside fields with her and watching her run fast back and forth to us like a speedy racehorse. The house, is the perfect countryside home, it’s beautiful, very spacious and clean with a lovely, large garden, which backs on to endless glorious fields, perfect for walking for hours with Phoebe. The family are lovely and kind, with the sweetest children, which my two children adored and wanted to take home as well as take home Phoebe… Lol It was a pleasure to look after your house and pet for the week. I had a wonderful time looking after Magnus and Toothless, who are both brilliant company. Magnus is extremely good on walks and is just lovely to be around - he can get a little distracted when there’s a fly in the house, however it provides hours of entertainment for Magnus and anyone watching him. Dockenfield was truly one of my favourite locations I’ve sat in so far. It’s very rare that you get such an untouched historical village. It was so peaceful and the walks were just incredible. The house was so lovely and the sun was out for more than 5 minutes- I couldn’t have asked for better! It was a pleasure to have met Jon, Suli and their wonderful family. Communication was excellent, I was given detailed walking routes, house instructions and recommendations. I’d be back in a heartbeat! Thank you very much for the opportunity:)
Jeffrey and Josephine are two wonderful cats who are a little cautious at first but then become very friendly. Petra is a very entertaining parrot who kept surprising me everyday with new sounds and voices she was imitating. It's also in a great location, with many great opportunities for walks in the area and also close to Guildford for shopping and the like. Valerie and Robert were very helpful in giving clear instructions and extremely generous with sharing their delicious honey, vegetables and assistance.
I really enjoyed sitting Goob. She’s quite smart and when she’s ready, very sweet. Affection is on her terms only. To which I say, good for you cat! I pulled out all my cat owner tricks with Goob. It was fun. Catrina is communicative and available to answer any questions you may have. Her home is very clean and she lives in a building with friendly neighbours. I’d sit Goob again anytime.
