Staying at Lottie’s beautiful thatched Stable House was a delight! The interior of the house was amazing, with the old beams and framework incorporated into new stylish rooms, our guest room being in a private part of the house. Lottie and Jamie were very welcoming and made us feel so comfortable from the time we arrived. Peppa, Popcorn and Pocket were the sweetest dogs, coming in a variety of sizes and easy to walk in a field not far from the house, then just staying near when back home. The large yard, lovely countryside and a perfect local pub just added to the fun. Being Californians, it was just the most wonderful experience to stay in a classic English country home with every amenity we could have wanted; we highly recommend being the lucky housesitters for Lottie.
Super cute place and super cute fur baby! The location is great. I really appreciated having a gym and laundry in the building. The studio is really warm and cozy. A perfect place to hang with an adorable kitty. The entire experience was super smooth.
Dumbledore is a very handsome and easy going cat. I had a great few days with him. He’s very independent so there isn’t much cuddle time except when he comes back or you come back. But it’s worth the wait as there’s loads of leg rubbing and purring to say hi then! He’s extremely easy to look after, he’s a grazer and comes and goes through the cat flap when he wants so no worrying about him coming home or not. Ann-Marie and family are fab hosts and their house is very comfortable with everything needed for any length stay. Balham is also very centrally connected so it’s easy get around London. Hopefully I’ll get to go back again if our dates work and I’d highly recommend this sit.
I knew this sit was going to go very well when I received a very detailed house and pet guide from Ashlie and Damo, which truly covered everything. I arrived to a house that was perfectly clean and comfortable with everything I needed for my two-month sit. It is also so conveniently located within minutes of walking distance to supermarkets, bus stop, train station and a lovely park. Bandit is a cheeky girl 😊 As her parents will tell you, she is not one to befriend easily, but once you earned her trust, it’s truly worth it. She is the cat with the most melodic voice and the broadest vocabulary I have met, while at the same time being very quiet during your sleep time and very considerate of your need to rest. I am usually pretty wary of having cats in my room at night (due to previous sleep dysfunction induced by systematic wake-ups by my own cats). Nevertheless, Bandit did sleep in my room each and every night (usually on the window sill or on her own tidy bed on my so comfy king-size bed) and not once has she disturbed my sleep. She loves strokes once she trusts you and will also be happy to just be by your side when you watch a film. Wonderful overall experience and highly recommended hosts, house and pet!
I had the most amazing time! The home is so beautiful! I could say so much to explain, it just needs to be seen to believe!! The doggies are the best snuggle bugs ever, but if your squeamish it's not for you, I got a few dead wildlife presents given!!!! And the cat Nala was so lovely.Tilly was awesome and i loved the fact she kept me up to date and sent pics of her holiday, Tilly was so helpful leaving me a good list of do's and don't s and maps of local area. Everybody was very warm welcoming and so looking forward to returning!
Douglas is a big babe dog, very intelligent and friendly, cats are loving. I'm returning to another sit with Hellen's pets.
