Where do we start with Sonya and Paul. We would give them 10 stars if we could. We had a trip to England then Ireland planned for June and July. 3 weeks away from our fur babies. We have two spoiled basset hounds that can't get enough belly rubs and attention. Paul and Sonya were so very good even before we met them. We Skyped with them a number of times before they came over, they were so prepared. They came a couple of days early to get acclimated to the pups and the house, they provided a very expanded set of documents that we both filled out (and we now use as a reference for us regarding how things work in the house, who to call in an emergency, what were our neighbors like, etc.) They took excellent care of our loveys and sent daily pictures and updates on all they were doing. Belly rubs were the favorites for our pups. It was more than comforting for us. We have an old fellow (He's 11) and this is the age you start to worry about them. He had a skin rash and the vet recommended that he be bathed every four days with special instructions on how to bath him. Sonya and Paul faithfully bathed him very four days and the skin rash was healed up by the time we got home. Our girl was especially needy when we left and they paid special attention to her needs and our boys needs, They are neat, house was cleaned, all things were in order. they were conscientious with giving medications, making sure they were on schedule for meals, food, walks etc. Our neighbors made so many wonderful comments about them when we got home. We were so happy with them that we are hoping scheduled them for our next trip across the pond next year, We recommend them highly.
This was a lovely sit! The three cats, Thomas, Freddie, and Luna all have very distinct personalities, and we loved hanging out with them. (Thomas is the most cuddly one, and he’ll hang with you on the couch for hours.) The area is great. Close to Toluca Lake and Studio City, with tons of restaurants and things to see nearby. Jakki and Jared were so helpful in explaining everything, making this an easy and fun sit.
It was a blessing to sit for Brad and Tam, who wined and dined us upon arrival. Both their pets, a Rhodesian Ridgeback "Kosan" and a friendly house cat "Gidi", were an absolute delight to look after. Their beautiful spacious farmhouse was visited quite a few times by an Estate Agent together with prospective buyers (and the delivery persons, delivering wines) throughout the sit. We constantly kept in touch, via a WhatsApp group they set up, including letting them know how much rain registered in their outside rain measurement, as they requested. We would gladly sit for them again, if possible.
It was wonderful to meet Nicky (a warm, generous, and welcoming host) and to spend time with sweet Nel. Nicky was kind enough to take me to and from the train station and spent time walking me through Nel's routine the day before she left, which was really helpful. As mentioned in the other reviews, Nel has epilepsy, but she is excellent to administer medication to, so all her care needs were easy to work into our daily routine. Nicky also left detailed instructions around how to manage any issues that arose and was available if I had additional questions, which I really appreciated. Whilst Nel does require constant care, she has a really quirky, fun personality, so I really enjoyed spending time with her. She did take a day or so to warm up to me, but I just gave her space and she quickly settled. Nicky's house and garden are lovely and a great place to spend time when Nel wasn't up to doing much. It's also walking distance to a range of public transport options and amenities (grocery delivery is also an option), and is in close proximity to beautiful walks and local attractions. Shari’s house was an absolute pleasure. We arrived to a very clean house, and welcome guide that was very thorough. Also, Shari sent videos beforehand of how the amenities (swim spa, sauna) work and how to (easily) care for the cats so there was no guessing. Her house was beautiful and with everything you could want in a house stay-amazingly comfortable beds, chefs kitchen, coffee bar, large tv, shady and sunny relaxing outdoor places, hammock, large deck and 3of the sweetest, most personable cats who we miss already! Also, we went on an amazing hike about 10mts away, took the BART into SF for a day, and great shopping and restaurants all close by. Loved this awesome house stay!
Beautiful experience! Mike and Cosmina were very kind hosts, they went out of their way to make us feel welcome, and were very attentive and accommodating. Those 5 days flew by with Bruno and Luna. Two very adorable, playful, fun-loving dobermanns and Ziggy was very sweet too -the few times he did show face! Their lovely home is situated in the most beautiful area not far from Braga and Geres National Park, surrounded by a stunning garden, all the fruit trees you can imagine, and a lovely path through the forest with a babbling brook and waterfall. It was a dream with two of the sweetest pups ever! I would 100% recommend this experience and would do it again in a heartbeat! Thank you Mike, Cosmina, Bruno, Luna, and Ziggy!
