We sitted Ana's & Alex's cute cozy house and garden in leafy Hürth for one month and enjoyed it a lot. We came the night before where there was a little toddler birthday party running and we even got plant-based steaks for dinner ! They are great hostesses- we were so happy for the plant milk for breakfast♡ Communication was always lovely and fluent. My toddler and me had fun with all the toys and multilingual books, even learnt french songs with them. Doing groceries was so convenient as it's a walk through the very close park and playground combined. The tram to Köln City is a 20 min walk and runs on the weekends really seldom, we could borrow a bike all ready for us with a children seat which we happily used quite frequently. We loved this Sit and would definitely recommend - especially for a small family - if you are not planning to go to Köln city often. All the best to this family!
What a lovely weekend.. It was a pleasure to overlap with Matthew and Claire on the first night to eat delicious food and all get to know each other a bit. What a truly lovely welcoming family. They made sure we were stocked up with home baked cakes and other staples - thoughtful and generous. Roonie is a gorgeous old dog so easy to care for and puppy Vinnie is as full of life as a puppy should be! Our 3 year old daughter now prefers their cat Tilly to ours (shhh!) and loved feeding the chickens and collecting eggs. The garden is beautiful with plenty of nooks to explore with or without the dogs - even in back to back rain. Hope to sit here again sometime..
We had a great sit. Otis was such a sweet dog who loves to cuddle. Laura gave us very detailed instructions and even tips for activities in Melbourne. We had a great time!
I loved caring for Jack and Ruby. Ruby is lots of fun and Jack is darling. I would sit on the patio and they would both be very keen to hang out. Ruby loves playing fetch. The home is lovely, cozy, and welcoming/artictic. I love that they are creative people and I think their work is amazing. Jack slept with me from the 2nd day and Ruby followed. As Erin suggested, I brought Ruby's bed in for her to my room. I didn't get a chance to meet Grant and Erin. The (lack of) communication issue for me was a bit stressful, particularly on the last day. We had agreed we did not need to do a handover coming or going, if not possible. I stayed longer than expected b/c things can happen and I had the pets in mind. I had to get on the (long and expensive) road though, and let them know the status of the home and pets. I didn't hear back for 6 hours; it seems like that was when they had returned,

We loved looking after Scarlett and Lara. They were an absolute pleasure, from their joyous morning welcome through the rest of every day, they were with us at all times and followed us everywhere. Scarlet is always up for belly rubs, and Lara doesn't like to miss out either! We were happy to just hang out with the guys, go for walks along the seafront with them or to the several local parks. Clare has a beautiful home in a charming location with all amenities close by, we hope to be able to look after the girls again another time.
