I had such a great time sitting for April! Willow and Aspen are sweethearts, and April’s home was both welcoming and beautiful. Willow was a great running partner and cuddle buddy, and Aspen was an easygoing old girl that had lots of love to give. I would absolutely sit for April again if schedules align!
We loved every minute staying at Lauren's. We came all the way from NZ but Lauren's place felt like a home away from home. Maisy was adorable and very easy to care for and we loved cosy nights in with her and exploring the local area by day. A great house sit.
Sally is a super host, very friendly and welcoming. I felt at home quickly and she was great fun to spend time with. While she was away whenever I had a question she was fast to respond! The kitties and puppies are very sweet and, as she describes them, chill. All are friendly in their own ways, the dogs trot along on their walks (it's a lovely area to walk around, neighborhood and down by the river) and all four animals want love and laziness while home. Care was easy, Sally explained everything clearly and they were all well-behaved. The home is very comfortable with all one may need, located in a convenient spot to get to town or local grocery by walking. Would definitely sit again, if you're reading this I urge you to.
After spending almost 3 weeks in Matt & Elizabeth's, large and beautiful Mexican style home we can highly recommend it. The home was great, but Carlos and Flaka are the real draw here, they are both huge characters, and enjoy nothing more than being with their peeps or playing rough and tumble in the wonderful garden. Carlos if given the chance will sleep with you (not a problem as the guest room has a comfortable King size bed) and Flaka joined us in the mornings for a quick cuddle too. Matt & Elizabeth were great, they provided a very comprehensive 'Home Manual' and made sure we had everything we needed, including names of drivers to get around. The only downside (if it could be called that) is that they are a little out of central Ajijic, but it's only a 20 or 30 minute walk into town. Plus there are regular buses along the Carretera and of course lots of Drivers, so it is easy to get around. It was a great introduction to Ajijic and we would return, so if you get the chance, go for it. Yvonne & Michael
What a fabulous location, especially for good hikes from the doorstep, but also just to sit in the garden and take in the views. I absolutely loved every minute here and definitely hope to be invited back. David and Freddy are lovely hosts and really made me feel at home. The fish pie and other goodies they left for me were most welcome. I also met a few locals while I was out and about. Everyone was really friendly and helpful. I would love to have been able to apply for the current sit they have advertised, but I'm already booked elsewhere. If you are thinking of applying, do it quickly !!

Look elsewhere. The guy, Tim, was arrogant, thinks he knows your dog better than you do and puts on a good front to get your business. He does what he wants and ignores any instructions left as reference. We aren't even sure if our dog ate as we had asked or if Tim even showed up as scheduled. The long walks he promised, didn't happen. A neighbor said he saw his interaction with our dog and was surprised that we trusted this guy with our pet. Unfortunately pets can't talk so we rely on others to be truthful. It's Unsettling to find out we left out pet in his care and what we were told, did not happen. Susan, the owner, Is delightful, and from another clients input, she is good with the pets, but for some reason, we ended up with him instead.
My cats totally love Susan! She walks in the door and even my most skittish one comes out, tail held high waiting to be stroked. Critter Sitters is a natural for pets and whenever we go away for a few days we know our cats will be cared for as well as we care for them by someone who genuinely brings out the best in all animals. Hands down, BEST service I’ve ever had. My pup Poppy is a handful and needs a little extra patience when it comes to nail trims. Every one of the techs who’ve come have been so knowledgeable and kind and absolutely wonderful I can not recommend them more. They always respond in a timely manner and call if they ever run late (which isn’t often) it’s also incredibly easy to make appointments which for a busy person just is a cherry on top.
My cat Oscar has severe fear of dogs think he was attacked by one.Making it difficult to bring him in to grooming places I had Holly come to house to do his nails this morning. I heard about the nail trim service and decided it was worth a try. Our dog Chloe would get so nervous going to the groomer to have it done. Jenna came on time and made friends with her. She stayed pretty calm throughout the nail trim and it was done in no time. Totally worth the cost to have an at home service with friendly, efficient staff. We will be using their nail trim service again.
All IV Paws Pet Care LLC is where it's at! I have 4 dogs and it's so much easier for someone to come to us than to hassle around and bring all of my dogs somewhere for nail trims. They all have different personalities and two of them are seniors. I have used them twice already for nail trims and they are very responsive and punctual. My dog loves the place. She sprints to the front door as soon as she gets out of the car. Very friendly staff that takes good care of our hound. The added bonus is she sleeps for a full next day because she is so tired from playing. In addition, the dog taxi service if I get stuck at work and overnight dog care from Mike Murphy has been an added convenience that makes going away much more relaxing knowing our dog is in good hands
Great people. Nice place. Great price. The only problem is that my dog ended up with abrasions on her paw. I had her veterinary check her paws, and they said it is from running on a hard surface like cement or concrete. Like I said, they are great.

River and Griff have been going to Paw Play weekly for a number of years! The owners and staff members are extremely friendly and caring. River and Griff have learned a lot of social skills and get along better with other dogs because of this experience. Our dogs are always excited to go and tired when we pick them up! Just the way we like it! We also appreciate all of the photos they post! It's exciting to see what our pups are doing while away from home.
We have been going to Paw Play for years.. First started with grooming, which Melissa always does a great job,her and her staff are great with the dogs... we also have used the Mike to come and let our dogs out during day as well as taxi service to day care and to stay with our dogs while on Vacations.. our dogs love him and so do we!! What can I say about the day care.. our dogs love to go!! Jenn and all her her staff are awesome!! The “kids”, as referred to,have a great time and come home tired... Our 3 fur-kids LOVE Paw Play !!! We have been using their services for almost years . Mike Murphy and Sara Oaks have both provided at home pet sitting and knowing they are with our babies allows us to have a stress free vacation, whether it is for just a weekend or 10 days they definitely keep our doggies happy !! I do not know what I would do without Paw Play! Over close to 15 years, I’ve never been disappointed! And, now that they provide training classes, taxi, pet sitting, and home visiting services in addition to daycare and grooming, it’s everything I need. The entire staff is 100% focused on what’s best for my dog. Jen, Mike, Jena, and John have all pet sitted for me. Their flexibility and willingness to help are priceless. I recently had Humble Hounds take care of my two pups while I was away on vacation, and I was super impressed! One of them is diabetic, so I was a bit nervous, but Niki was amazing! Niki dog sits for us and she’s great with our shy/nervous rescue dogs. Shes very patient and very good with them. First off Niki is a literal angel. We used Niki/Humble Hounds for our wedding to care for and bring our pup Bellini to our wedding venue for photos and over night boarding. Niki was so professional, on time, and helped us to feel so comfortable from the start as this was Bellini’s first overnight without us. She was a wonderful wedding attendant and I would recommend her to anyone. She even took the time to send photo updates and create a custom wedding gift from our pup. I cannot say enough about Humble Hounds! I am so happy I was recommended to use their services. I definitely do not regret a thing! I was so hesitant at first. I am one to never ask for help. I recently went from one dog to two. Phew! Not easy but wouldn’t change it for the world. Now that I have humble hounds to help out. it has been truly helpful. Niki was amazing! She took care of my 2 dogs and 3 cats while I was out of town. All my animals loved her, she took such good care of them. She was great communicating when she was on her way and always sent updates and pictures. I will definitely continue to book her for future pet care needs

I needed a dog sitter for the week of July 4th and even though I asked about 3 weeks before, Nikki found the time to schedule me in. We have a regular dog sitter so I was hesitant to use any one else because we love her so much! Kareena was our sitter through HH and she was AMAZING! She sent reports and pictures of my sweet happy pups at every visit. She was very patient with my little guy being only 7 months old crate training but still having some accidents. Bark is truly the place to go with your pups! One of my dogs has a ton of energy and always comes home exhausted from daycare or when we board him. Our other dog has stomach issues as well as high anxiety and requires medication and watching over. The staff at Bark do an amazing job of making sure he is well cared for and gets whatever medicines he may need. They truly get to know your dog. They are great at communicating with us and sending photos of our dogs having a great time. We recommend Bark to anyone we know with dogs with absolute confidence.
The staff are the best. They love dogs and really make sure each one is comfortable and happy. They truly care. The outdoor daycare section is very nice with different obstacles and water sections.

We couldn’t be happier with our first boarding experience here. Our dogs loved the staff and daily walks around the pond. They treat the dogs like their own. They keep the facility clean and have made many upgrades and renovations since buying the facility from a previous owner. Our dogs came home happy and with no issues. Our new boarding place in Berlin, close to Home, with great people.

First time using Bark Resort and I was honestly nervous as the kennel we usually board at was full. Staff at Bark Resort was very friendly, and our furry family member Freckles came home happy. The walks included in the nightly rate are a great added bonus. I did bring him for a half day of daycare in advance so he knew the scent when we brought him to board. Thank you to all their staff. Would highly recommend and I would use again. People there are wonderful.
I use their services weekly to give my active puppy a place to play. I have also boarded Clyde with them and they are the best! From Louis and Carlei, Hannah, Michelle, Rosie, and Sam to Jasmine at the front desk, you can tell they love your pet too! The whole staff is excellent! I never worry that he will be well taken care of!

Tony and the Gang at What a Ruff life are such a great crew. Always friendly, welcoming, and they always have time and room for my Arty. I've used other daycares in the past that kept him in a kennel and I had to pay extra for him to be exercised. This place has him running all day! I'm so thankful for these guys because they have helped us out in last minute emergencies and they are always so kind!
We were very nervous to leave our Boston terrier because the play room is full of big dogs (even Rotties), and she's very little. The staff is excellent and there were so many people around when she was being introduced (even holding her), that we were quickly put at ease. At intake they check to see how the dog reacts to socialization with other dogs before letting them go into the big play room with the group. My dog is so happy to go here she starts losing it when we pull into the parking lot. I highly recommend.
My Lokie absolutely loves What a Ruff Life. He had his bath and grooming there and he looks AMAZING!! He is perfectly trimmed and smells wonderful. Awesome place and so much fun.
This is a great place where you can feel at ease when leaving your dog. Our dog was 7 months when we brought her. It was a great experience for her after not being socialized by her prior owners and also helped with her puppy biting. Highly recommended 😊 …
I've brought my dog to a few different daycares, but only bought a 20 full day pack to this one because he comes back clean and happy from this one. I've always been icked out by scenarios where I'm not directly observing my dog in case of injury and fear of having to give my very fluffy dog another bath. What a Ruff Life has exceeded my expectations with how clean my dog comes back and yet so tired and satisfied. This is a small business operated by Newington locals and I love being able to show my support and get my dog a great time twice a week. After a month of going, still no weird scratches or unexplained scrapes, so I'm pretty satisfied.
We have been using Ruff Life for 2 years now. Always the nicest people, our dogs love them so much and look forward to going to "school". They take amazing care of our pups and we could not be happier to continue supporting them!
Took my dog for a grooming and I could not be happier than how Jenn took care of my little separation based anxious cavapoo. This was the best cut he's ever had and he came out super happy and smelling great and feeling soooooo soft... In sum, this place has the best, nicest, most patient, and most understanding groomer in Jenn and the same goes to the staff (shout-out to Diane) The little guy left with a cute bandana to top it all off and he was proud to show it to everyone...and he does not want too take it off and so we'll keep it on if nothing else than to remind us of the great spa day he recently had at What a Ruff Life in Newington, CT!

Our family recently was in a position to find a lodging facility for our dog for a several night stay. We were very hesitant and nervous as she has never been away from us. The services we received from Whatarufflife far exceeded our expectations. They made drop off and pick easy. We found the facility to be clean and accommodations to be a wonderful setting for our dog. Staff was warm and welcoming and we got the feeling that they were dog people, who love what they do. She was loved and cared for and we would highly recommend Whatarufflife to anyone.
Recently, I boarded my two shih tzus for 9 days at this establishment and was skeptical since my dog hadn’t ever been previously boarded. They exceeded my expectations in how well my dogs were cared for. They have very teary eyes and they need daily cleaning, in addition to one of my dogs also having Addison’s disease and some allergies. Meena, Tony and the other staff were very attentive to my dog’s needs. I highly recommend them!!!
I love Sarah's Pet Sitting for taking care of my fur babies when I am away. I am extremely fortunate that they have sitters who can take care of guinea pigs, because many pet sitting services do not. All of the sitters we've had have carefully followed the instructions for their care. The service request process is straightforward and rates are reasonable. I also love the reports that they send for each visit that generally includes pictures and a short video. And it's clear that the sitters who come to my house really love and care about animals. My piggies have gotten used to their sitters. And often come up to them looking for food and begging for treats. I know this is a service I can trust and will continue to use as long as I have piggies and live in Connecticut!

From dog walking to training Sarah's is top notch. No one wants to need someone else take care of their pets, but Sarah's is the only service I trust. My silly rescue pup loves his walker and they have built a great bond. With their help I am also making huge strides in training my guy with positive means only. I recommend them to anyone.
They are the best. They take the time to get to know your pets. They then report back and send pictures after every visit and include updates of what they did during their visit (empty litter box, filled their treat ball etc.). You schedule each visit within a 2 hour window, so your pets get to eat at the same time they are used to eating. Great easy to use app to update pet profiles, request what you want done for each visit, and pay. I have tried other sitters (friends, neighbors etc) and never quite knew what was going on, or came hours late. I will never again use anyone else. If you want peace of mind while you are away, these are the folks!
Sarah's Pet Sitting provides a great service for those of us that can’t bring our pets on travels. After each service visit I got an update on how my dog was doing (eating, drinking, bathroom, general mood and behavior) and which activities took place. It was personalized, so I knew there was a lot of genuine interaction with my dog. And it included photos of my dog being his best self. Highly impressed, much relieved, and will use again.

When we got married, we were so thankful for Katelyn and the attention she gave our boys (who are never away from us for more than a few hours)! I’ve been using Sarah’s for almost 2yrs and I honestly can’t recommend them enough! Their staff is so sweet, the pet portal is super thorough and user friendly. They even send photos of your fur babies after every visit, which is my favorite part! I also really appreciate that, Sarah’s requires, you to meet the pet sitters in person prior to your first pet sitting. I had never used a pet sitting service so I was kinda worried about strangers watching my cats. But they have great vibes and really take care of your pets like they are their own. So happy I found them! They really make going on vacation worry free as it should be.☺️

I would like to express my appreciation for the exceptional customer service provided. The team was able to accommodate us on very short notice and demonstrated great compassion regarding our situation. I was given a tour of the facility, which was not the case at other locations I considered. They attentively listened to my concerns about my dog's leg, which had previously undergone surgery, and ensured that her food schedule and supplements were administered as instructed. I also appreciated receiving regular updates and photos whenever I reached out. Katie was fabulous, as well as the other two women at the front desk we encountered. Our dog returned home happy and healthy, and she is completely herself! We look forward to bringing her back for daycare and boarding in the future. Thank you all for your outstanding care!
Our rescue Roxy is very fearful and aggressive towards strangers. We rarely have company in our home to spare her the anxiety and to prevent guests from possibly being bitten. We were planning a family vacation down the road and weren’t certain if we would all be able to go. After many searches we decided to reach out to Paws pet resort to try out a playdate . We were waiting for that phone call every mom does not want to get from their child’s school. We held our breaths when the call came and to our surprise (and we were extremely surprised), our Roxy had the time of her life. She was such a happy girl. We’ve now booked her for our vacation week and added weekly play dates. Can’t thank Paws enough
We had to travel to SOUTHINGTON and needed a place to leave the fur babies for a few hours. This place was highly rated with great reviews and was professional and personable at the same time. They contacted us with a mid day report. They did with pics and a voicemail message. A happy dog is a tired dog and our two fur babies were pooped.
I would like to recommend Paws Pet resort for the wonderful job they did taking care of my Nutella. Her first time away from me since I had her 5 years ago. I had surgery and needed to stay overnight. This group put my worries at ease and treated her as if she were theirs. She was there 3 nights and enjoyed playtime and treats with all her caretakers. All 3 of them.Thank you so much. Your baby will be well cared for with this group. ❤️
Today was Luci’s first visit. She is 2 years old and very anxious around strangers. We are very impressed with the staff. They are all so pleasant and knowledgeable and caring. Luci spent a half day and got a 1 1/2 hour play session in the yard with other dogs her size! There are two staff in the yard with them watching out! This is great. Scheduled a full day next week. We think this will help Luci develop in important ways. Very pleased! 🐾
My pup was so happy to stay at Paws. I called them looking for a place to board my pup after not being able to find a pet sitter in my home. They were able to take Bailey practically last minute and allayed any anxiety I had about boarding her as Bailey is a very nervous dog. All staff were kind and welcoming.
Stella loves coming here! It has been consistently positive for her as she is in great spirits when I pick her up. I also love how the staff sends photos keeping us reassured that all is well. The 'report card' at the end of her stay, is unique and ❤ caring!
My dog comes home happy and playful! He loves when we pack his bag for day care or overnight, he knows where he is going and drags us out the door to get there..ALL staff helpful, friendly and Brody loves them. I feel very safe to leave my dog in the care of Paws!

We have been using David’s Pet Services for many many years! We hired David and his team with our cats for when we went on vacation. We looked forward to our daily updates which always included sweet photos of our babies and often some funny ones thrown in there too. It was always obvious that whomever stopped by enjoyed their job and loved our cats. When we decided to get a puppy earlier this year, I contacted David for his dog walking services even before the puppy arrived! He was excited to work with us again and sad to hear about the passing of our cats. It was a huge stress relief to know that David would be on our puppy raising team and available so I wouldn’t be in “puppy prison”! I also love the ease of the app which wasn’t available back when we had our cats. I fully trust him and his team in our home and I know that in a pinch he will do his best always to help us out. I'll cut to the chase because who has time for fluff when we’re talking about our fur babies? I am a person with ridiculously high standards—and I mean ridiculously—and DPS managed to not just meet them but blow them completely out of the water! I’m a textbook Type A when it comes to my dog. She’s been my ride-or-die since she was 8 weeks old and is, quite frankly, the center of my universe. Together, we’ve navigated life’s ups, downs, and sideways moments, and let’s just say, I don’t entrust her care to just anyone. So, when I thought I was moving to West Hartford, I knew exactly who to call: the legends at DPS. Fun fact: I used to run a pet care business myself, so I know a thing or two (or a hundred) about what separates the pros from the amateurs. Enter: David. We connected online, because, you know, millennial networking (aka sliding into each other’s professional DMs). While I had to shut my business down during the pandemic, my impossibly high pet care standards stuck around. I know what to look for, what to avoid, and I don’t mess around. Let me tell you—DPS’s onboarding process was an absolute masterpiece. It started with a phone call from none other than THE David himself. He listened attentively, communicated clearly (no corporate robot vibes here!), and was all-around the kind of nice guy you’d actually want to grab a coffee with. His team had me set up in their portal and ready to rock in no time. Now, here’s the kicker—I didn’t actually get to use DPS services because my move to West Hartford fell through. (Cue the tiny violin.) But based on the red-carpet treatment I received just during onboarding, I have zero doubt my girl would’ve been treated like the queen she is. Honestly, if I had used their services, I might’ve worried she wouldn’t want to come back home with me after being so spoiled. In short: DPS is the real deal. If you’re even thinking about hiring them, just do it. Your pet deserves the best, and these folks deliver.
I've been with David's Pet Services from the beginning and he and his team have never let me down. He cared for, walked, fed my golden doodle Rags for much of her life, and she loved seeing them. Lately, due to a health emergency, I needed them to walk my sister's dog, feed her, and feed my cat and they stepped right in, even thought it had been years since we communicated. I always feel secure about the needs of our pets being met with love and a lot of ear and back scratches! They send pictures after every visit and give a report on how the walk, feeding, whatever (even poops!) went. I have the highest regard and trust David's Pet Services employees who come into my house to take care of the cat as does my sister for her dog when I can't be there! Hire them, you won't be sorry. David’s Pet Service offers fantastic communication and thoughtful service. I recently moved to the area and was hoping to book overnights. Prior to contacting David’s Pet Service, I checked neighborhood Facebook pages and contacted a different dog walking/sitting company. I filled out that company’s digital forms and then sent a note explaining my situation, my coverage needs and my dog’s quirks. I didn’t hear back so I reached out to check in and they asked that I send my note through a different method on their app. I did that and when I didn’t hear back again, I reached out and they asked again that I send my note through the different method. I responded that I had sent it through all the methods and then didn’t hear back again for weeks. By contrast, I left David’s a voicemail, he texted the following day with a time he’d reach out, and then we had an open conversation about the booking. While David worked to schedule the booking he kept in touch and followed through. I absolutely love most technological advancements, but when it comes to my family - including my dog and especially with overnights - communication is so important. I will definitely be calling David’s Pet Service again.
I was hesitant to use any service as my dog is a bit of a jerk to put it mildly. His dog walker was so patient in getting to know him. They're complete bffs now. My dog is ALWAYS soooo happy when it's dog walking day. You can see from the pictures my walker provides when they're out, how happy my little dude is. I love the "status reports" the service provides. They're so cute. It shows time start, time done, route of walk, pics, and even if my guy did #1 and/or #2!! I will continue to use David's Pet Services and can't recommend them enough!!
David’s Pet Services have been a fantastic addition to our dog’s daily routine. The entire team has taken the time to get to know our pup, and he eagerly looks forward to his visits with each walker. David truly goes above and beyond to ensure that the entire process is seamless and stress-free. Davids Pet Services are my new “Go To” second family for my fur babies. With us liking to travel more and when we have important long day events, I now know I can trust Davids Team with our two dogs without worrying and just enjoy our trip and life celebrations! I live my pets but there are days when we need to be away and we don’t want our babies to be alone and uncomfortable so we book Davids Pet Service!

We have been using David’s Pet Services for a little over six months and have been so impressed! Every walker is so nice and attentive to our three year old golden retriever. They have worked with us to reinforce good walking habits with him. He looks forward to his weekly walks! Their scheduling system is fantastic; it’s so nice to be able to go on there and add an additional walk or two when Baxter needs it. Overall we’ve had a wonderful experience!
