I really enjoyed my time at Stephanie's house with Coco and Duke! Coco is older and needed some extra care, but was very sweet and loved her walks! She clearly had a youthful spirit though, because a couple of times people asked if she was a puppy while we were walking. Duke was easy to care for, and would adorably relax in the cupboard next to me sometimes. Stephanie's townhouse is in Sellwood, and as a Portland resident I can attest to the fact that the neighborhood is great! Nearby you can find trails to beautiful parks and a charming downtown strip. Stephanie also was tremendously helpful with the careful details she left for everything (not nit-picky though!! Just clear!). I was able to figure everything out with ease, and she was easy to communicate with throughout the sit. She also left out some vegetarian cookbooks for me to peruse which was very thoughtful. Overall a great experience!
We had an amazing time with sweet Bonnie and Clyde. They are real characters and fun to hang out with. We enjoyed our daily walks exploring the neighbourhood. This is such a fabulous place to stay, with stunning views of the harbour, great cafe just a few doors down and Devonport village with all it has to offer in walking distance. Thanks so much Richard and Wendy for entrusting us with your lovely home and precious dogs.
Firstly I would like to say a warm thank you to my host for taking the time in making me feel so welcome in their beautiful home. Not always easy to host a stranger while away on holiday! Their kindness and thoughtfulness were exemplary. The reteospection of my stay and of the time caring for your two beloved cats have granted me with lovely memories! Thank you for the opportunity to housesit for you. To me it was like a honest dish where all the ingredients were beautifuly modest, home grown with love - such as the humble tomatoes - sweet, juicy and unbelievably rich in flavour or of the smell of a pie coming out of the oven. Joy. The kind of memories that stays with us. In a nutshell. I enjoyed my stay and recommend to anyone who may consider caring for your home and wonderful cats to not hesitate.. It was absolute pleasure dealing with Emma before and during this sit! I love Edinburgh and this very nice and comfortable flat is a pleasant 12-minute walk to Stockbridge, my favorite part of the city. There is a large supermarket close by, Morrison’s, literally a 2-minute walk. Ample and frequent buses and Ubers can get you anywhere within the city, and beyond. The cats are very easy to care for and lovely. Ricky was my best friend instantly and Taniel gave me the benefit of a doubt quite quickly. Perfect cats! Add in THE best litter box I’ve ever seen with its very clear guidance and its doing all of the work for you and this adds up to a great sit. And, as a bonus, Emma is incredibly organized and extremely considerate. I felt 100% prepared and am very grateful for her concern for me, my comfort and my travel plans. Simply, and gratefully, this was a top-shelf situation in a great city!
Pepper and Reina were pleasant as peach pie to care for! Pepper is young and so so energetic, but clearly willing to learn. He is very cuddly and affectionate and such fun to play with. Reina is a proper old lady who loves her food and her affection - either from your hand or a brush. Both were easy to care for and I could tell Pepper loved his afternoons socializing at doggy day care. Jerome was very welcoming and communicating was seamless. They left very detailed instructions, which I always appreciate.
William house is just a delight to sit for. Bonnie and Rosa are so chill when at home. They both love attentions and give lots of cuddles. William kindly let us have friends over to stay, and left us a very clear detail welcome pack about the house, dogs, cats and chickens. Would not hesitate to go and sit again.
