I would recommend Dave and Debbie to any pet owner as they had a great relationship with my little dog pixie and with me. I was so pleased to see Pixie cuddling up to dave even when an arrived home. They really seem to enjoy caring for my dog and making me feel confident to leave her to go and enjoy myself. The photos I received reassured me. I now book Debbie and dave before booking my holiday
I felt completely at ease when we left our home and animals under Vaiva’s care. She took great care of our dogs, cat, and chickens. Our home looked great when we returned, and she handled a power outage with no problems. We are so grateful and would love to have her stay again in the future :). Thank you Vaiva!
Tag was terrific. She was flexible, reliable and completely trustworthy. I was stress free while away because I knew my pets and home were well looked after.
I had a wonderful pet sit with Griffin, Archie and Hugo. Hugo is the newest addition to the crew and is THE sweetest. So playful and cuddly. He's a kitten and is naturally curious and energetic. I loved spending time with him. The poor boy has a cold, I hope he gets better soon <3 Archie is a very sweet cat too, but definitely in transition mode with Hugo so he just does his own thing when Hugo is around. He loves going outside right after breakfast, will come in for a bit midday to eat, is out again, and will be back by the time it gets dark. As the instructions say, he can be persistent in wanting to go out, but you can ignore him, and he will settle in. He gets very cuddly when Hugo is not around and will sleep on you lol. Griffin is a very nice dog when you give him his space. It is very important to follow the detailed instructions regarding his behavior especially as he is in transition mode with Hugo as well. As some of the other reviews said it can feel uncomfortable if you are not used to it but it's nothing to worry about. The only startling thing is if Hugo is with you or by you and does something that triggers Griffin. It can be startling as you would not be expecting it, especially if you are focused on working on your laptop, for example by the dining room table or on the sofa downstairs, so I tried my best to keep Hugo away from me when Griffin is there, so I am not between the two when Griffin is triggered. Just be mindful of that and you will be fine. Griffin is so good on walks, again just follow the instructions and you will enjoy the walks. He loves his treats and when he's in the mood he will bring his toys to play which is super cute :) but as the instructions say wait for him to come to you. Sarah and Charles are amazing hosts. The house is very nice, clean, and comfortable to stay in. Sarah was very responsive and detailed with the insturctions. I was set up downstairs in the basement which is very comfortable, with a full bathroom and seating area with a TV. As there is no door to the basement, be sure to put all the pets in separate rooms upstairs before going to bed so they are not in each other's way and on you when you sleep. The backyard is also very nice. I spent hours out there with Griffin and the location of the house is great. If you are from out of town, several good things to know: there are two bike share stations just a 5 min walk so a great base to explore Toronto. Make sure to bike on the Don Valley Trail, which passes through Riverdale Park East (one of the best views of the Toronto skyline). There are also two public libraries within walking distance if you want a space to work/study and of course, as it says on the listing, it's in the Danforth neighborhood which has a great selection of food, coffee shops, bars, etc. I would be happy to sit for Griffin, Archie, and Hugo again and sending get well wishes to Hugo.
