When Jackie rang the doorbell, both of The Girls ran to the door to give her a warm welcome and immediately took to her as she entered. Once she made it past the initial love and affection offensive offered up to all new arrivals, she was able to sit down on the couch to chat with us, and then they both jumped up by her side! Roxy wasn’t content to just snuggle up next to her like her sister did, but instead rolled over onto her back and put her head in Jackie’s lap, gazing up into her eyes like a lovestruck teenager. It was clear both of them were intensely and immediately comfortable with her, a good sign since in our experience, our doggos are a fabulous judge of character. While all was clearly going great with the dogs, we assured her it was normal if she didn’t see the cats right away; they would probably come out within a day or two. However, before we even boarded the plane, we received a cute photo of Nimbus poking his head out from around the couch with a curious look and the caption, “Look who joined the party.” Followed shortly after by a photo of Limerick saying, “And the gang’s all here!” Parker and I looked at each other and exchanged a knowing look and small sigh of relief: Jackie was *definitely* the perfect choice to watch over our furry family, and we would have no reason to waste time thinking about what was happening at home! While we were away, she consistently kept us posted on our pets antics by sending adorable photos of everyone throughout, allowing us to check in when we had Wi-Fi. Due to weather delays for our later flight, we opted to catch an earlier flight home the last day. Even though we arrived home hours earlier than expected, the place was already spotless, the bed had been remade, the towels were in the dryer, and there, on the kitchen counter, were freshly picked wildflowers in a vase that she admitted, “The Girls helped her pick out.” We could tell by the way they all related to her, the entire family had been well loved while we were away. It was also obvious they’d had quite an effect on her too, as she was clearly sad to leave them behind, saying how much she would miss them and even offering to be their guardian if anything were to ever happen to us, as we don’t have any family who could take them. Not only is Jackie an amazing sitter, she is a kind, generous, loving, warm and genuinely good human being, one who not only loves animals, but is easy to talk to and fun company to have around. Had we not had a flight to catch that first night, Parker and I could have just as easily chosen to go out to dinner or spent the rest of the evening in engaging conversation with her. If you get an application from Jackie to watch over your pets and home, don’t hesitate. Just hit accept and know that your pets will thank you for it! The next time we head out of town, we will absolutely be hitting her up first to see if she’s available, long before we post our next sit publicly.

My experience with Oscar as a house-sitter was tremendous. He and his partner took care of my young cat over the winter holidays, and I'm so grateful that they did! I was able to enjoy my vacation without a single worry about my cat or apartment's wellbeing. Oscar provided regular updates and formed a genuine bond with my cat Joey, who clearly greatly enjoyed Oscar's company. When I returned, the apartment was in wonderful condition. Oscar is as personable with humans as with pets, and I found him to be a trustworthy fellow who was a pleasure to deal with. I confidently and enthusiastically recommend Oscar as a housesitter :)

Isabell was a great house and cat sitter! Once communication expectations were established, she sent photos of the kitties regularly. She was also readily available to FaceTime chat, and asked questions whenever she had any. She left our house sparkling clean, and cared for our home and our plants/yard like it was her own. Our cats seemed happy and healthy when we returned from our trip, and Isabell left so many nice touches for us! Thank you Isabell!!!

We had a LOT of issues with this sitter. She did not give one of our dogs her medicine at all during the week we were gone (cough medicine and prednisone). She gave us very little updates, even when asked. After we left, she asked if her boyfriend could come by (we were not thrilled about it since we did not know him, nor was he in her profile). They stayed out on the front porch smoking for most of the visit, leaving our dogs in the house. He smoked cigarettes and she smoked “medicine”. Our dogs go crazy to get out when we are on the porch - so I know the dogs were freaking out. He stayed at least 2 nights that we know of, which wasn’t approved by us or even mentioned by her. There were several days that this sitter was gone all day (12-14 hours). The house was a mess (pizza sitting the oven, dishes everywhere, shoes in the dining room table, socks on the kitchen counter, etc.)when we came home. She said it was because she thought we were coming home the next day. My husband talked to her about 9 pm the night he returned him (I got in later) and she was out. The dogs had not had dinner. She elected to get a hotel that night and is now wanting us to reimburse her. We gave her the option to stay the last night with us.

With multiple warnings about our puppy’s chewing behavior, she continued to leave things out - our remote control was chewed up along with a book. I know she left her glasses out and Molly chewed those, as well. Not sure what else she left out.

I do NOT recommend using this sitter.
